Former Knockouts Champion and SHIMMER mainstay, Awesome Kong will not be part of this weekend’s SHIMMER festivities for the first time in some years.
There had been some speculation to that effect after SHIMMER began announcing talents with no sign of Kong, but there had been hope that she would be a last minute announcement earlier this week. It has now been confirmed by SHIMMER management that she won’t be in Berwyn this weekend.
Kong was in the main event of the last SHIMMER DVD, Volume 28, suffering her first pinfall lost in a three-way bout for the SHIMMER Championship against MsChif and LuFisto.
