Great interview as always. The advice was great and it’s always nice to hear each person’s perspective on the wrestling biz once they leave.

I actually have a friend going to Humber doing firefighting too. Hopefully I can find her..not creepily or anything!
In terms of WWE dropping the ball, I always found her and Angelina were the biggest crap-up moments on WWE’s part.

Props on the interview with Shantelle. She’s my favorite wrestler and it was a thrill listening to it.
    WWE messed up with her.

i sometimes wonder ifor Angelina, if Krissy had of said no to taken the spot on Smackdown, (like she should of, if she was gonna quit 2 apperances later), would of the spot went to Angelina and would she be in TNA if they had of, I guess i will never no lol

SherriShepherdWWE — Angelina was released months before Krissy was called up.

Nice interview. It sucks that such a talented wrestler is leaving the business, but it makes sense as to why.

My first time seeing Shantelle was on Shimmer Vol. 1. It would have been cool to see her do another appearance there while she was working for TNA.

Glad you all enjoyed the interview! She was a real pleasure to talk to and I think this weekend’s match will be exciting. I was surprised she is moving on to be a firefighter! Good for her.

  • Mr_McKay_86

Great interview David! Quite sad to see her retire so soon considering her talent and what she has done in her career! Although, becoming a firefighter is a tough job which no doubt she will be good at doing!

Taylor speaks of ‘WWE rejects, retirees and never-wases”. Speaking of the women, that was a direct shot at Tara, and to some extent Mickie, Winter (Katie) and LVE; but really Tara.

Remember when Tara came back wearing the helmet? It was leaked here and other places that it was her, but as far as TNA was concerned it was a secret. Taylor outed Tara by tweeting her saying that when they see each other in Orlando they can smootch. Tara almost immediately tweeted back wanting to know what she was talking about, and Taylor walked it back. It’s one thing if a wrestling website leaks information on angles and story-lines, but it’s a no-no if a wrestler does it, especially when it directly affects an angle you’re not involved in. I thought two things back then: 1)she did that deliberately because she probably directly blames Tara for her not being on tv regularly, 2)either TNA is gonna fire Taylor, refuse to renew her contract or leaver her off tv enough to make her quit. She quit, and they way she announced it had a bitter taste to it.

Because of her legendary feud with Mickie, which ended with her damaging her arm yet still finishing the match the way it was planned, she gained massive amounts of respect. Not only with her peers in TNA, but it caused WWE to make changes in their own PPV. Plus she has management’s ear, playing the role of an unofficial scout. I wonder if Taylor now knows how Tara felt in WWE during her last year or so there, and how Gail Kim must feel now. Maybe she’s upset because the writers had her ass kicked by Tara’s knee brace last year.

Except for Daffney who is still feeling the effects of the Stay-Puff Marshmellow Woman falling on her and Miss T out with a broken jaw. All of the women are on tv just about every week. They could have run an angle with Velvet bringing her in and having the both of them, Winter/Angelina and Sarita/Rosita in a three-way feud for the KO tag belts. Thus having two story-lines involving all of the active KO’s feuding for both championships. Can’t complain about that.

Firefighting is heroic and noble work, and I wish her well. Not for nothing, but Flash and Gail are WWE rejects too.

  • C_Payne

does she actually call them that?

I don’t honestly know because I havent listened to it

Dont think its very fair to make assumptions on a persons character though (not tv character I mean their own characteristics)
