Serena Deeb Down Under: Results & Pictures from Serena vs Kellie Skater at Wrestling for Rotary Charity Event

As Diva Dirt reported last weekend, former WWE Diva Serena Deeb took part in a show titled ‘Wrestling for Rotary’ in Bendigo, Australia. The show, which also featured many international wrestling superstars – the likes of other former WWE wrestlers in U-Gene, “Ironman” Rob Conway, the “Intrepid Traveller” Paul London, Jimmy Yang and more – was said to have been well received, with the crowd (of around 350 people) being responsive to all of the matches and wrestlers.

Serena ended up wrestling, and defeating, Bacchus Marsh native Kellie Skater in what was said to be a ‘fun match’. As previously stated, the two are no strangers to one another – with a recently released Serena answering Skater’s open challenge at the September 2010 SHIMMER tapings. You can check out pictures of the match, held June 11, below, courtesy of Steve Bradford.

Prior to the show even being held, the Rotary Club of Eaglehawk held a dinner in honour of the wrestlers. You can check out a video, filmed by local news channel ABC, here (there is only a brief glimpse of Serena, seated with Jimmy Yang). The video is accompanied by an article, with comments from members of the Rotary Club:

[notice]Over the years the Eaglehawk Rotary Club has played host to governers and Prime Ministers, but their latest guests won’t soon be forgotten.

As part of their ‘Wrestling for Rotary’ fundraiser, they invited the visiting rumblers for a dinner in their honour.

“I was very favourably impressed from the moment they walked in the door. I’ve got some lovely grandsons and they remind me very much of them. I’d like to think mine behave like that when they’re out,” says Lola Miller from the Rotary Club.

“You look at the act in wrestling, but these people are basically pretty down to earth people. I think they’re very community spirited,” says long time member Leon Scott.

The wrestlers won’t be quite so friendly when they take to the ring to battle it out – all in the name of charity.[/notice]

In other Kellie Skater news, she has been the first announced competitor to take part in PWWA’s next show – to be held on September 3rd, 2011 (presumably at the Liverpool Masonic Center in Liverpool, NSW, Australia). You can now ‘like’ PWWA on Facebook. They are currently asking fans who they’d like to see on the September 3rd PWWA show.
