5 wrestlers we want to win the Queen’s Crown tournament

WWE officially announced the long-awaited all-women’s tournament, Queen’s Crown.

A King of the Ring style tournament for female WWE Superstars is long overdue. The contest has been rumoured for your years and will have a huge impact on the women’s division going forward.

If the Queen’s Crown is anything like the King of the Ring, which originally gave the winner prestige and a title opportunity. There are plenty of wrestlers on the undercard just waiting for that chance to elevate their career and challenge for a championship.

Here are 5 wrestlers that we would like to see win the Queen’s Crown.

5. Zelina Vega

Zelina Vega was shockingly fired in 2020 and then surprisingly re-hired this year. Since her return in July, she has only one victory under her belt. Before her departure in November of last year, Vega was in a title programme with the RAW Women’s Championship Asuka. At the time it was a holdover feud but Vega showed that she could hang with the best and it would be great to see her do so again.

During the throes of the pandemic-era Vega was a shining light in some of wrestling’s darkest days. Her management of Andrade, Angel Garza, and Austin Theory was superb work and her mic work was splendid.

Vega possesses a great look and exceptional character that could easily be added to the top-level of WWE with the correct portrayal and booking. The perfect way to begin the rise through the ranks is by winning the Queen’s Crown.

4. Toni Storm

Toni Storm made her SmackDown debut in September of this year and despite being on the winning side she has only had two matches thus far. Storm is a hugely charismatic talent with megastar potential that her earlier accomplishments attest to.

Storm is a former NXT UK Women’s Champion and winner of the second Mae Young Classic in 2018. However, her move to NXT was nowhere near as impactful and successful as it should’ve been.

Toni Storm is a wrestler who would benefit hugely from winning the Queen’s Crown. It would boost her wrestling career and establish her as a force to be reckoned with while elevating her to the main event level where she belongs.

3. Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler is a far cry from the killer that dominated NXT’s women’s division for over two years. Her main roster debut saw her attack and bite Becky Lynch before going on to assassinate everyone in the Elimination Chamber.

Unsuccessful in the WrestleMania 36 title challenge Baszler floundered in the division before being somewhat revitalised in her partnership with Nia Jax. The duo became two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and did a lot to add some prestige to the titles.

In recent weeks we have seen glimpses of the old Queen of Spades that would undoubtedly claim victory in the Queen’s Crown and get back into title contention.

2. Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair has been put at the forefront of SmackDown’s women’s division ever since her debut on the show back in 2020. She defeated Bayley in excellent outings especially at Hell in a Cell and headlined WrestleMania 37 with Sasha Banks.

Belair’s run on SmackDown proved her to be the EST of WWE. Now she has been drafted to RAW she gets the chance to do it all over again. Her previous run on the red brand was mishandled but after owning the blue show her momentum and reputation will transfer onto Monday nights.

Belair is a surefire favourite to win if she is a part of the tournament adding the winner of the Queen’s Crown to her steadily growing list of accomplishments in WWE.

1. Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan has been the victim of stop-start pushes for years. But the hugely popular superstar refuses to give up and has grown as a performer since debuting on the main roster in 2017.

As a member of the Riott Squad Morgan was a standout talent with her blue tongue and slightly manic demeanour. The split did her little favours and not long after she went away to reinvent herself. Weeks of intriguing vignettes aired hinting at bringing about the “real” Liv Morgan. Upon her return, she revealed herself to be Lana‘s secret lover in an angle that was quickly swept under the rug and another singles push with it. A feud and reunion with Ruby Riott followed. Now Morgan stands as the only remaining member of the Riott Squad and is ready to take her career to the next level.

Liv Morgan to win the Queen’s Crown would be validation for months and years of hard work. The crown would get her one step closer to the main scene she so desperately seeks and very much so deserves.
