Rima Fakih Clears Up WWE Status?

Former Tough Enough contestant and Miss USA winner, Rima Fakih, has seemingly cleared up reports regarding her status with WWE through her Twitter page.

It was speculated that Fakih had landed a WWE contract after she was seen at the WrestleMania art and fashion show earlier this month in Miami, as well as being on hand for multiple Axxess sessions taking pictures with fans.

Possibly in relation to the reports, earlier today she wrote: “Not signed! #rumor”.

Rima now seems to have confirmed her status with the company and was perhaps at the functions serving as a celebrity guest of sorts.

She remains one of two women from Tough Enough’s revival season yet to secure a contract alongside former America’s Next Top Model contestant, Michelle Deighton.

    Thank Science! (lol)

WWE doesn’t need to hire any more models, etc- diva type women. They need to focus on hiring WRESTLERS. I think it would be fine if she was an interviewer or valet/manager only though.

    • TheRealSmoothG

Agreed 100% if Rima REALLY wants to get into wrestling…start wrestling on the indys and you know..EARN it. Wrestling is wrestling not a resort for retired models.

      • lbthewrestlingnerd

Yeah if you want to be a wrestler, go to the top indys, Mexico, or Japan! :)

      • No Holds Barred

She wants to be a DIVA, when will you get that through your head?

Why is it when someone wants to be a wrestler, you always carp on about how you absolutely must go to the indys.. good idea, go to the indys and earn $5

        • lbthewrestlingnerd

That’s the point, I don’t want anymore god damn “divas”.

They also have to go to the indys, Mexico, or Japan because that’s where good wrestlers come from (with a few exceptions). Diva type women hired by WWE are usafteually horrible in the ring.
LOL $5, first of all, indy wrestlers have day jobs to start off with, second of all, nobody is going to pay Miss America $5 for a wrestling match, third of all, you get your name out there, you earn a lot more than that, fourth of all, if you care about wrestling you’ll become a good wrestler, not a diva.

        • lbthewrestlingnerd

I would also rather make $5 a match to start off with then sell myself out and work for WWE where I’d be objectified and wrestling wouldn’t matter.

        • lbthewrestlingnerd

          usually*

        • No Holds Barred

No, you don’t need to go to Mexico and japan to become good wrestlers, you just seem to think that for some reason.. don’t know why.

FCW is perfectly fine for training, there’s nothing wrong with it, Joey Mercury, Steve Keirn and Dr Tom Prichard… what’s wrong with that? They are great wrestlers so FCW is a good place for training, I don’t see why you always seem to think you MUST go to Mexico or Japan to be a good wrestler.

and Diva type women hired by WWE usually have no experience, so I don’t get how you say “usually horrible in the ring.” Ummm they are there to learn how to become a good wrestler..

      • norisclouds

WWE doesn’t really hire women from the indies anymore. Why should she if she wants to be in WWE? That’s WWE’s fault.

    • Poison_Ivory

OOH she’d be perfect as a backstage interviewer! She has such a sweet voice.

      • lbthewrestlingnerd

        She’s pretty attractive too!

        • Poison_Ivory

She’s really attractive, but sooo generic.

        • lbthewrestlingnerd

Hmmm yeah, she’s too modelesque for my tastes but she’s better looking than every WWE woman now in my opinion

      • BAD KHARMA

I think she would fit very well as a backstage interviewer!

But Eve Torres started as backstage interviewer aswell and look at where she is right now, so you never now!

        • Poison_Ivory

Who knows, she might surprise us. She clearly has interest in the business.

    • LadyGoDiva

I do want to see WWE sign more non-Diva type female wrestlers to the company even though Rima says that she’s a life long fan of the WWE and thats fine but you really need to be passionate to the business.

    • lbthewrestlingnerd

You can be a WWE fan, but if you don’t become a good wrestler it doesn’t mean anything

Buggy Nova would be a better signing IMO. They should also look at some of the more talented indy and foreign women who want to be in WWE.

  • No Holds Barred

Michelle Deighton lol… America’s Most Wanted to stop modelling

    • WWFoverWWE

Lol that is so mean xD

      • No Holds Barred

the words of Candice Michelle, not me haha

  • Kessuki

too bad. i thought she wouldve been fierce and charismatic much to how maryse was.

  • http://Yahoo.com/lilkhris141414@yahoo.com SEXYOFTHESEXIST2011

but wwe will sign her probably after her sentencing , probation or fines are cleared then they will probably send her fcw and align her with summer rae as her bestie then have that tandem come up and be i guess the wwe version of tna’s beautiful people

  • sugarrush28

This saddens me. I thought she would’ve made a kick ass heel valet. Like I always say not all women need to be in the ring. That’s a big mistake WWE makes having all their women wrestle. They don’t all need to be wrestlers

    • WWFoverWWE

A valet getting paid to simply stand there? That’s not fair to the people who are really working and actually earning their paychecks.

But if the valets got a lower paycheck, then I wouldn’t mind.

      • sugarrush28

Can I ask why did you even mention pay? There was nowhere in my writing that suggested that Rima or any woman being payed more being a valet. And since you brought pay into yes a valet should get payed for standing there. They shouldn’t be payed as much as wrestlers but they shouldn’t do it for free either.

      • norisclouds

A proper valet doesn’t just “stand there”. And valets have been critical to the success of wrestling since the 80s. Just because a valet isn’t a wrestler doesn’t mean they don’t deserve respect and pay for their job.

  • WWFoverWWE

She would’ve had to much competition in fcw anyway, it would’ve been hard to stand out.

  • SherriShepherdWWE

i am kinda happen because as of late, WWE has been signing and giving alot of indy women try outs, so it would suck if they went back to signing models

but is there any updates on Erin Angel, Rachelle St CLaire, Aplha Female (i doubt her signing since she recenetly won a title), and also Buggy Nova, any updates (fingers crossed they got signed)

  • http://www.diva-dirt.com candice7000

Booo!! I want Rhima. This sucks.

Although I am quite the fan of Rima’s desire to get into a WWE ring, I must agree with ‘LBTHEWRESTLINGNERD,’ by saying that if she wanted to be a wrestler, she damn sure could of went to the indy’s, or back to school with Bill to train and prepare herself. One of the things that can very easily bring a women down in the industry, particularly in WWE, is if they have no wrestling experience prior to actually being in WWE…thus they pic up what few moves they can along the way, and they pretty much stick with those and don’t evolve all that much. For instance, Kelly Kelly is going on 6 years with the company, and as we all know, she has a very limited move-set, more less playing to the crowd & entertaining rather than actually wrestling. Now don’t bash me K2 fans, because although I’m not crazy about her wrestling wise, I do believe that she is a VERY IMPORTANT Diva in the WWE. One the company does need, regardless if the company hired 5-10 indie stars, K2 would need to remain around because like I said, she may not bring the ‘Wrestling’ part in as much as the ‘Entertainment’ part, but she is a key player in the Divas division, stink face and all.

Now back to Rima, she obviously doesn’t have a move-set yet, so she should at-least put in a years training on her own time, rather than waiting to get signed and then be in FCW for 1-2 years. You have to be persistent, you have to put in work and show that you want it. You can’t simply be waiting around for a call just because you are affiliated with the company. I am all for a Rima signing because I can see she wants to be apart of the company, and has watched it for many years, but what deters me from wanting her to get signed is the possibility that she wants to be a ‘Diva’ and not a Women’s Wrestler signed to the WWE, and therefore would be labeled a Diva.

In my mind, your goal should always be to become a WWE Superstar/Diva, but your heart should be to become a Professional Wrestler. Becoming a wrestler is the easy part, making it to the WWE is a whole other thing. Anyone who thinks other-wise is putting the “wagon before the horse.”

  • number1AngelinaLovefan

Well that’s odd because on the news(where I am from). They said that she is appy to put her Drunk driving thing behind her and start an “Acting” career with the “WWE”

  • xXxUniquelyiXxX

I’m so happy this woman isn’t being signed. I’m sorry, but i was scrolling down the comments and noticed someone said “She’s better looking than all the current diva’s.” I have to disagree, Kelly & The Bella’s even AJ IMO look better lol.

    • http://vetaj.blogspot.com NurseBetty

They also said in my opinion.” which means in their opinion.

  • Raekon

She is nice girl and I like the fact that she has the passion and would like to go with it in the ring.

However, in my opinion, as long as they don’t do anything or barely anything with their division as a whole, WWE doesn’t need ANY new signings anymore.

    • xXxUniquelyiXxX

      Agreed.

  • HeyChrissy

I thought that it was an April Fools Joke this whole time….

What’s the point of having the Tough Enough competition when WWE are just going to hire all the eliminated contestants? (The women in my knowledge) I mean, why bother building up Tough Enough to be some what a boot camp and how life is like in the WWE? Why try make a Television show about WWE seem like military camp? (Obviously to make more profit, but I just find it pointless) I loved Rima in the show, don’t get me wrong, but it seems like a waste of time for them to go through that show, get eliminated, then a few weeks/months later, they are signed by WWE. I think they should take passionate by non-active wrestlers and have them on the show, then the ones to be eliminated wouldn’t need to be signed as WWE could fix itself and hire wrestlers (male & female) who have been training their whole life and are trying to work their way up to the big company (which is obviously WWE).

    • norisclouds

Pretty silly right? It’s obvious that they hire them anyway because for the women they prioritize looks and not wrestling ability/skill. If they did, none of the eliminated women in any of the competitions over the years, from Diva Search to NXT to TE would’ve been offered contracts, but they’ve routinely signed them all for years.

  • norisclouds

Isn’t it a rumor that SHE started? She was the one who told the reporter she’d been signed, with this and her lying saying it was someone else who go the DUI, she doesn’t seem like she’s very mature or together enough to handle a WWE contract.

I’m starting to think that she did get a contract offer, or it was signed but they dropped her once it came out she could be facing jail time.
