AJ Talks About New Jersey Homecoming for ‘No Way Out’

With two huge segments on Raw and SmackDown on Monday and Friday, it’s truly been AJ Week in WWE. The good times continue to roll for the pint-sized Diva this weekend as she returns to her home state of New Jersey for the No Way Out pay per view.

No doubt AJ will play an important role in the triple-threat WWE Championship match between CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Kane — three men who have all fallen under AJ’s crazy spell.

Speaking about her homecoming, AJ tells NorthJersey.com: “It is the most mind-blowing thing to me. I feel like everything happens for a reason and everything comes around full circle.”

“New Jersey has a rabid fan base for wrestling – especially women’s wrestling. The fans are so strong and so passionate…They’ve been watching me since I was 19, and I’m 25 now, so they’ve kind of seen me grow up.”

I’m so proud of aj and how far she’s come all the spotlight she’s getting she really is the future and should be a top diva

It’s worth the wait for AJ.. I can see her as the next Alpha Female of WWE!

I can honestly say, I don’t usually order any PPVs besides Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. But I will be ordering No Way Out, which marks the first time I’ve ever ordered a PPV because of a Diva. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always liked the Divas, but even a few years back, they were never really the central focus of a pay-per view event. And while the main story is obviously Cena/Show/Laurenaitis/McMahon, the most interesting and riveting story is AJ/Punk/Bryan/Kane. I hope my girl AJ gets the biggest pop of the night, if not one of the biggest.

Ah, how could you not be proud of this girl. She deserves every bit of credit she gets. I just she was the Divas champ so the title would have some more relevancy.

I wish she had the title but here’s hoping they building up her character then put the belt on hermaking her more of a draw for the womens division

    AJ is 25?!

Haha yea she looks like she’s 19 or 21 lol

I would love to give AJ praise and happiness, and I am happy she’s in the spotlight, but I’m not going to pretend like she’s actually doing anything that is benefiting the divas division. She’s in a “boy crazy” gimmick which is right up there with the ‘slut’ and ‘ho’ thing. The only difference is that nobody has called her one yet that will get the fans behind them to believe she’s one. Once she’s done being used in this storyline, which I don’t see good ending for her reputation (i.e., Lita) she’ll be pushed right back to the back. I’m not hoping this happens, but sadly enough, it’s what I foresee.

Longterm, she is. You don’t develop a persona over night. She’s establishing herself in the WWE, once she does, she’ll be able to bring more to the divas division. Chyna had DX. Trish had Vince (and others). Miss Elizabeth had Randy. All the big players developed their character by interacting with the main story lines. The girls don’t get enough TV time to truly develop their characters on their own. They need to be involved in the major story lines to establish their personas.

lol i can not imagine this little girl with such a BIG title “as in size”

This girl has such a beautiful story with her. I REALLY hope we get Kharma/AJ for Wrestlemania next year. Wish April nothing but the best. She deserves it completely.
