Little Seen Knockout Says She’s Still with TNA, Update on Her Status

Infrequently seen Knockout, Rosita, has updated fans on her status with TNA, insisting that she is still with the company despite not being used on TV since April.

Rosita, real name Thea Trinidad, told the Busted Open radio show:

Unfortunately it has been awhile, and I know everyone was going crazy a couple weeks ago when it came to me being taking off the knock outs gallery page, but, I will finally tell all of you, I am still with TNA. I will hopefully be brought back soon. I am doing a lot more training and a lot of fresh new things. If I do come, relatively soon back to TNA, there will a new finisher, and a whole new look really. It’s going be very fresh, very new. No matter where you see me, whether it is TNA or independent show you’re going to get all of me and I guarantee you it’s something you’re going to want to see.

Rosita also reveals that she looked up to Lita and dedicates her moonsault to her:

Most of them were guys, but there was one female wrestler that I look up to completely, and that’s where my finisher, the moonsault came from, it’s in dedication to Lita. Right off the bat, I remember seeing Rey Mysterio, a long time ago, and he was the one I was like, “wow I want to be just like him!” I want to be the female Rey Mysterio, mask or not I want to do what he can. So Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero, Halloween Havoc 97’ was my favorite match, it was absolutely awesome. I definitely say those two. I always liked Shawn Michaels, there was something about that dance, besides the fact he was amazing, I think when I was younger I was like that dance is awesome, that little shimmy he does with his hips. Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, HBK, and the Hardy’s. When I was younger I went through a little bit of a rocker stage and it was because of them.

You can hear Busted Open on Sirius 94, XM 208, and Sports Zone 860.

Hopefully we will see Rosita back in TNA soon. With there not being too many KOs left, Rosita would help fill the void. Plus, she’s so talented, and it’d be nice to see her feud with a recently-turned heel Tara or even the KOs champion Brooke.

She came across as some loud mouthed hell cat which was fresh in tna. Hopefully she can come back as a baby face and take on Tara after she’s done with Brooke, she’s gifted in the ring

She really is talented for being as young as she is.

I always crack up when she starts taking off her earrings. I miss the “Burrito Twins”.

Hahaha!Reminds me of something Karen Jarrett said.Wait, didn’t she?

      • Poison Ivory

Yea, it was the hilarious segment where she questioned the KOs about sleeping w/ her hubby. Easily one of the greatest segments ever.

After BFG would be the perfect time to reestablish both Rosita and Sarita. Their too hot and talented to do nothing with! and Rosita is so young, looks like Trish facially, and has a wrestling style patterned after Lita she could be tna’s answer to AJ Lee!

why does the phrase “will hopefully” not sound too promising.

  • VarsityBaseDude

Damn girl, looking good there. I hope she does come back.

Hopefully she’ll be back soon but I won’t be surprised if she ends up getting let go too.

Yet another female coming out who was inspired by Lita, just saying. I hope to see a new Queen of Xtreme of TNA be born, and ill root little Rosita on! :-)

It’s tiring to say this, but the current creative team’s use of the Knockouts has been pathetic (although I heard better things about this week’s Impact which I haven’t watched yet).

I’m not sure whether they’re purposefully keeping certain Knockouts off TV to freshen them up (or even give them a new gimmick) before they come back, or if they just keep them off TV because they have no idea or desire to use them, but fact is, when you use Knockouts like Rosita and Sarita so sparingly, the viewers simply can’t connect with them, since they basically forget who they are pretty quickly.

I actually really liked Sarita and Rosita as a tag team. I thought things were looking up for the Knockouts tag team titles when they were put in the title picture (of course after they won the titles they got the Knockouts tag team champion ‘treatment’).

I think Rosita would definitely work better as a face. I don’t think she’s ready for a singles push any time soon (although they did give that to Brooke before she was quite ready in my opinion), but in a tag team I think she can be a real asset. Given the talent they do have at the moment (and the fact they do nothing with most of them), it would be so easy to fix those horrible titles and make them less of a joke. Even if it’s mainly done on Xplosion (if they can’t even afford to dedicate 6 minutes on Impact to them).
