Diva Dirt Weekly for the Week Ending December 9th, 2013

Each week following Raw, Diva Dirt Weekly will take a look back at the week preceding it, hitting every noteworthy event along the way, from Impact Wrestling to SmackDown to Raw.

Joining the audio will be team members Chris, Erin and our host Jake.

We cover the following events:

  • NXT (12/4/13): Paige successfully retains the NXT Women’s Title against Natalya. Who will Paige eventually drop the title to?
  • Could the surplus of NXT Divas lead to a all-Divas show on the upcoming WWE Network?
  • Total Divas, Episode 13: “Saying Goodbye”
  • Raw (12/9/13): Brie and Nikki Bella win the Diva of the Year Slammy. Natalya defeats Tamina Snuka.
  • Predictions for TLC’s Divas Title match between AJ Lee and Natalya.
  • Taking a note from the Slammys, Jake and Chris give out a few awards of their own.

The next AJ feud, if Nattie loses, might be Naomi. Naomi is the only diva who was in the NOC match to not get a singles championship match with AJ. If Naomi gets passed over I’m gonna pull the “cause she’s black” card. lol

    • Wrestling.fan.from.France

I think having Naomi feuding with Cameron by her side against AJ would be wasting the potential of that feud especially with their history. Naomi has to be solo first and Aj NEED AND DESERVE fresh faces!

      • silverink25

But if Cameron cost Naomi the match, they could have their own little side feud going while AJ moves on to the next diva. It would suck if Naomi got passed over for a title shot against AJ.

        • Paco G-H

          I like that idea

      • BorisG

Yes they should first do that feud.

    • Brandon

I’d love that. Or paige and summer would be great. This total divas vs aj is so stale

  • JillianHallTNA

I have to disagree with the Aksana comment early in the podcast. Aksana actually gets a crowd reaction when WWE shows her entrance and she can work the crowd during her match like we saw in this last episode of WWE Superstars.
Other note, Kaitlyn should really be on the cast of Total Divas because if she don’t, Total Divas is gonna kill this division and we will never see Paige and Emma getting a Main roster spotlight.
Also, I LOVE when Jake makes Erin laugh, it’s so cute, I love Erin’s laughing!! :’D <33
Jake is so hilarious, he should make Q&A videos for Diva-Dirt TV where we ask him questions here and he answers them in a funny way like Kinglsey does for example! :D

Hang on, I’m a little confused her, honestly can you just explain this to me LOL!

If Kaitlyn joins the cast of Total Divas, then the division will be saved?

      • JillianHallTNA

yes! because WWE loves to promote the shit out of Total Divas by having cast members running the regular wrestling shows. We won’t see Kaitlyn vs AJ feud if Total Divas hangs on. Unless Kaitlyn joins that show, WWE will be pushing Bellas instead of Kaitlyn. ://

And the Award for Most Impressions of Wrestlers award goes to Jake!

  • OJ Von Erich

I disagree with the Aksana comments, I honesty believe she has a certain Trish Stratus quality about her, she is full of character, get’s the crowd going & is extremely powerful, she seems to be slowly coming along in the same way Trish did.

Her problem, is the fact that WWE have watered her down & buried her character pretty much from the get go.

    • JJ?

I feel like they really had potential with her character when she debuted on the main roster. Unfortunately, the haircut and new outfit downplayed her into a generic female wrestler.

    • Username

I’d like to piggyback on that point by bringing up the fact that the WWE once had a woman on the roster who could not wrestle at all, who could not talk at all, and who didn’t have much personality. Her name was Miss Elizabeth. And despite the fact that she really did not have much of anything that makes someone a “good” on-air personality, she went on to become one of, if not the most, legendary women in the history of pro wrestling because she was used in a way that allowed the fans to get behind her. Fans loved Randy Savage, and the mere image of Elizabeth with a concerned look on her face as Savage was getting beaten down was enough to endear her to the fans. I’m not saying they should put Aksana or Rosa with CM Punk or anything, but to infer that they’re worthless is completely unfair. Booking has a lot to do with success or failure in the WWE.

The second half of the season showed allot of Alicia Fox, maybe they’re planning to add her next season?
