Tonight is AEW’s third annual All Out event and the card has two exciting match-ups for the women. The first match is a 21-woman Casino Battle Royale where the winner will win a future title shot. Currently, there are 20 women confirmed. The 21st competitor is a surprise entrant and will have ‘The Joker’ spot.
This will be the second time the women have participated in this type of match. Nyla Rose won it in 2019 and went on to face Riho for the inaugural AEW Women’s World Championship. Riho ended up becoming the first-ever champ.
For those that may not know the rules of the match, they are as follows:
The Casino Battle Royale is a modified rumble/battle royal rules that feature 21 women.
It begins with a group of five wrestlers, and every three minutes, another group of five wrestlers enters, while the 21st and final entrant enters alone.
The talent is divided on the suit they drew from a deck of cards Spades, Diamonds, Clubs, or Hearts. The order of when each group enters is based on a random draw of the cards.
The 21st and final entrant is the wrestler who drew The Joker.
The 20 participants announced are:
Nyla Rose, Big Swole, Penelope Ford, Tay Conti, The Bunny, Jade Cargill, Red Velvet, Thunder Rosa, Kiera Hogan, Hikaru Shida, Diamante, Emi Sakura, Abadon, Leyla Hirsch, KiLynn King, Jamie Hayter, Rebel, Anna Jay, Riho, and Skye Blue.
The Joker entrant has been highly speculated to be Ruby Soho based on her recent vignettes she has aired about returning to the ring now that her non-compete clause with WWE has ended.
The second match at All Out is for the AEW Women’s World Championship. The current champion Dr. Britt Baker will be defending against Kris Statlander. Baker has held the title since May at Double or Nothing where she defeated Hikaru Shida.
Baker has had Jamie Hayter and Rebel firmly by her side whereas Statlander has had Red Velvet as a back up.
Statlander has had two championship matches previously, once against Riho and the other against Nyla Rose. She has not been able to achieve gold.
