AEW All Out Preview & Predictions for 09.05.21

AEW’s huge pay-per-view All Out takes place on Sunday, September 5th in front of what will undoubtedly be a ravenous crowd.

The event will feature two big women’s matches. Firstly the Women’s Casino Battle Royale, which pits 21 women against each other in an attempt to win a future shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship.

The second match is the AEW Women’s World Championship bout between Britt Baker and Kris Statlander.

Women’s Casino Battle Royale

Initially set for the Buy In, the match is now taking place in its rightful position on the main card.

20-women* have been announced:

Nyla Rose, Big Swole, Penelope Ford, Tay Conti, The Bunny, Jade Cargill, Red Velvet, Thunder Rosa, Kiera Hogan, Hikaru Shida, Diamante, Emi Sakura, Abadon, Leyla Hirsch, KiLynn King, Jamie Hayter, Rebel, Anna Jay, Riho, and Skye Blue

*Julia Hart was originally in this match. She was attacked backstage on AEW Dark and replaced by Skye Blue

The match features an impressive array of performers plus all three former champions. To make the brawl even more exciting, every time AEW has run this type of match a surprise entrant, ‘The Joker’ occurs

Predictions:

John: The amount of amazing talent on the show is fantastic and there are several who could win it. However, Britt Baker is going to hold the title for a very long time, therefore, the winner is going to be someone who will challenge but not win it. So I’m going for someone who hasn’t had a title shot, Diamante although Jamie Hayter winning and having Baker nervous about her new partner would be fun. Plus Ruby Soho likely is the Joker.

Nick: I do agree that Baker will be holding the title for quite a bit longer. Maybe even through the rest of the year. However, I do think Thunder Rosa is going to win this Battle Royale.

Britt Baker vs Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s World Championship

This match has little story behind it besides Baker’s company (Jamie Hayter and Rebel) cutting off Statlander from getting to the champion. The lack of build is he modus operandi of AEW’s women’s division. The lack of heat behind the title bout may weaken the excitement for the clash, however, Baker and Statlander are great and charismatic performers and will undoubtedly put on a great show.

The 2-on-1 match this past episode of Rampage exhibited Statlander as a powerful and formidable opponent while showing Baker’s solid security in Jamie Hayter.

Predictions:

John: There’s no way Baker loses here and therefore Statlander’s momentum and win streak is gone. It’s a shame AEW constantly puts the women’s division as an afterthought even with Britt Baker as the champion and this match is proof of that.

Nick: Baker losing would be surprising to me at this time. Although Statlander is definitely a future champion and can certainly put on a performance, Baker is going to retain for now.
