AWS Results, Shotzi Blackheart crowned new champion

Alternative Wrestling Show (AWS) showcased their Ladies Night #3 show last evening in South Gate, Calif. This event took place just days after the promotion sadly announced that they will be closing their doors by the end of the year. The card was stacked from top to bottom including three title matches for the crowd to enjoy.

Zoe Lucas is just coming off of a successful title defense of her Phoenix of RISE Championship. She defeated Aerial Monroe the prior night in a controversial victory at the RISE: LUMINOUS event. Now she had Delmi Exo waiting in the wings to try and dethrone the champ. Lucas was able to yet again escape defeat by submitting Exo to retain her title.

Cheerleader Melissa entered the night as the AWS Women’s Champion. She came in at a disadvantage as she had to defend her title in a triple threat match against Ruby Raze and Shotzi Blackheart. Unfortunately for Melissa, the odds were stacked against her, however, and as a result, we have a new champion. Blackheart picked up the win and is the new AWS Women’s Champion.

The last title that was on the line is the AWS Heavyweight Championship. Mercedes Martinez was the champion going into the match. Her opponent was SHIMMER’s Champion Nicole Savoy. Savoy still holds the SHIMMER title since 2017 when she defeated Martinez. She looked to defeat Martinez for another championship. Martinez was able to retain her title after delivering a fisherman’s buster to her opponent to continue her reign.

Other match results of the night include the following:

Simone Sherie defeated Leslie Iris via pinfall after delivering a frog splash.

Vipress and Miranda Alize defeated Heather Monroe and Aerial Monroe via flatliner followed by a Shinning Wizard

Rosemary defeated Ashley Vox via pinfall after delivering a neckbreaker.

Taya Valkyrie defeated Jake Atlas via Road to Valhalla.

Hector Canales, Watts, Suede Thompson, Fidel Bravo, and Jesse James defeated Buggy Nova, Sandra Moone, Ayoka Muhara, & Desi Derata.
