Bayley wants intergender wrestling back in WWE

Intergender wrestling is a popular topic as of late and quite common on the independent circuit around the globe. WWE, however, has been reluctant to join in on the craze, but has been testing the waters. Most notably with Nia Jax entering the Men’s Royal Rumble where she eliminated Mustafa Ali and took bumps from Dolph Ziggler, Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton.

Bayley was recently interviewed by SPORTbible and discussed WWE possibly bringing back intergender matches.

“I would love for intergender matches to start happening again, it happened in the past when you had Lita teaming with The Hardy Boyz and Eddie (Guerrero) getting involved with Chyna, with things happening like Nia Jax in the Men’s Royal Rumble there’s a possibility there and I would love any part of that.”

“I think the men are just as excited for the women and it helps push them too. One you see someone giving it their all in the ring and getting attention, it pushes everyone, the men have been nothing but supportive of the opportunities we’ve received so far.”

I am sure this will not be the last time we see or hear WWE and intergender wrestling in the same sentence. WWE is a publicly traded company and they may just be afraid of backlash from sponsors thinking they are promoting hitting women.
