Brandi Rhodes vs. Allie set for Fight for the Fallen

On the new episode of The Road to Double or Nothing, AEW announced the first match for their next event. Former Impact Knockout, Allie, will face Brandi Rhodes at Fight for the Fallen.

They have been alluding to their history together since Allie signed with the promotion, and there are definite signs that Brandi is holding a grudge.

On the eighth episode of the series, Michael Marshall noted, “It’s a little surprising to me considering the last time you were getting your [expletive] kicked, and you asked Demon Bunny Allie for help, she kind of like no-sold you.”

Marshall is referring to Rhodes’ time with IMPACT. She asked Allie for help with former IMPACT Knockouts Division Commissioner, Maria, and Sienna, who got the jump on her in prior episodes. Allie was Kanellis’ apprentice at the time, so she turned Brandi down.

Well, it turns out Rhodes didn’t forget about that, and she may have enlisted some help to seek revenge at the promotion’s second pay-per-view event.

The announcement also officially sets the record straight for some fans. Rhodes won’t just act as Chief Branding Officer, as some assumed. She will wrestle for AEW as well.

Fight for the Fallen will take place on Jul. 13 at Daily’s Place Amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida. Presale ticket will be available tomorrow morning.
