The A-List Diva stripped down to her bikini along with the rest of the FCW Divas. And I must say, her body still looks banging!

As well as Christina Crawford (sister of Divas Champion Alicia Fox), it looks as though WWE has signed another new Diva to a developmental contract.

The mystery blonde appeared during last night’s bikini contest at the FCW live event in Orlando, wearing an ODB-esque green outfit and cap. (See above). We hope to have some information on her identity soon.

Also visible in the picture sent to us by Diva Dirt reader Jasmine, is the first FCW shot of Christina Crawford, wearing a leopard print robe.

Former Women’s Champion, Melina made her much anticipated return to FCW last night at a live event in Orlando. Diva Dirt reader, Jasmine has sent us a full report of what happened plus pictures! Check it all out below:

* Melina was extremely, extremely nice. I managed to get in line nice and early (there was probably 50 people wanting to see her). I just basically went up to her, opened a notebook I had bought and asked her to sign wherever she liked. She wrote a heart and put her initials inside it and asked for my name after. So then… picture time~! The music was blaring, not sure what song it was but we shared a jiggle XD. She had a chuckle at that. I gave my camera to a guy for him to take pics of me and her. I have absolutely no complaints about my favorite Diva at all… she looked good, she was friendly as all heck, she took pictures with everyone, signed everything.

* As for the Divas bikini contest, it was basically Alicia’s sister, skinny ODB look-a-like who kept flaunting her bootay for the cheap pop I suppose, Liviana, AJ Lee, Aksana and Jamie Keyes (who was AMAZINGLY over, she got the loudest pop of the night easily! Low-Ki was over-over, but Jamie was more over… perhaps her good looks suits the majority of the audience or something). All Divas took off their bikinis except AJ who refused to do so. So they do all that and when it was time to announce the winner it was AJ Lee ’cause like the host of the contest was a heel here. All the Divas were shocked saying, “That’s messed up,” “That’s wrong,” etc. AJ Lee’s like “HA HA HA” rubbing it in everyone’s faces.

Melina then comes out and they had a war of words. Of course she didn’t approve and made sure AJ knew. Unfortunately, I can’t provide you the words that was said as it was hard for me to understand it, but it came across well nevertheless. It ended with Melina slapping the ever living heck outta the host and showing some spunk in the process. She had a hug with Alicia’s sister afterwards and just made sure to go to each face Diva and say something to them. It would be pretty sweet if Melina’s return to FCW in the near future would be a feud with AJ Lee considering her being a fan of Mel so it’d be swell~

* Tamina was watching the majority of the show with some guys.

* Much like Melina, Jamie Keyes was certainly very personable, nice, friendly, etc. She’s gorgeous live, I can certainly see why the majority of the audience would pop for her.

Not much is known about Christina and there is no confirmation to her signing as yet. It could be a case of her accompanying her sister to the event and them asking her if she’d like to be part of the show, assuming she’s a model like Alicia. If they have indeed signed her, good for them. Alicia has proven to be one of their best ‘model projects’ in that they’ve successfully turned her into a solid worker. Perhaps they’re hoping it’s in the family genes?

FCW history is made as the promotion crowns its first ever Divas Champion. After an eight-woman tournament, the finals are here as Naomi Night battles SmackDown’s Serena for the belt. Watch below:

Welcome to a long awaited and extra large serving of FCW Watch! As you all know, FCW Diva matches have been few and far between in the last few months. However, with some crafty detective work (not really), I’ve managed to unearth the quarterfinals and semifinals of the FCW Divas Championship tournament. First up, the newest Raw Diva, Tamina takes on the reigning Queen of FCW, AJ Lee:

Thoughts: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Tamina is really green and it shows in this match. She looks like she cant quite get her bearings in the ring, and the match suffered from it. However, I do like how they’re building Tamina up as this uber-tough, powerful Diva ala Beth Phoenix. I do think that Tamina has potential to be a great in-ring competitor someday, but for right now let’s keep her away from the live show please?

Next up, the battle of the NXT announcers as Savannah takes on Jamie Keyes:

Thoughts: To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this match and for good reason. Although Savannah know her way around the ring pretty well by now, she’s facing off against an uber-rookie in Jamie Keyes. This mixture could very well be disastrous. Thankfully, Savannah and Keyes kept the match pretty simple, sticking to basic moves and techniques. Definitely not my favorite match of the tournament, but certainly not the train wreck it could have been.

In the last quarter final match-up, Naomi Night faces off with Liviana:

Thoughts: Of all the quarterfinal matches, this one had me worried the most. Unlike the other matches, this match was rookie vs rookie, so I wasnt sure if either of these girls could pull out a decent match with the other. I hadn’t seen much of Liviana, and what I had seen wasn’t exactly mindblowing. That said, Naomi Night has been improving at light speed, so I was hoping she could bring out the best in Liviana.

Surprisingly, this ended up to be my favorite match out of first four matches (couldn’t find Serena vs Askana, sorry). Naomi has really stepped it up in the past few months and I can see why FCW has been pushing her so hard as of late. I liken her to Alicia Fox and Savannah, as she has picked of the sport fairly quickly and can pull out a good match from almost any opponent. I expect to see lots of good things from her in the future.

Believe it or not, Liviana also impressed me in this match. Her ring skill aren’t the best, but she’s far from the worst competitor to step into the squared circle. In-ring skills aside, it’s Liviana’s character that impresses me. She reminds me of early Melina in her mannerisms and even her moveset. I would to see her teamed up with a superstar in a managerial role while she improves on her ring work. i think she may be my guilty pleasure when it comes to the FCW Divas.

Now on to the semifinals! The obvious favorites to win the tournament, AJ Lee and Serena meet in the semis, but only one can move on to the finals:

Thoughts: Out of all the girls in this tournament, AJ Lee and Serena probably know each other the best between. Very solid match from both these girls. I especially liked how Serena has incorporated her involvement with SES into her gear (CM Punk’s wrist tape) as well as her moveset (her new GTS-like finisher). I can’t wait for her to have her first WWE match, if this is any indication. AJ Lee was also very impressive. I would love to see her moved up to the main roster to add some much need firepower to Smackdown’s Diva’s roster.

Last, but certainly not least Naomi Night and Savannah squared off for the last spot in the finals. Also, everyone’s favorite straight edge Diva makes a cameo appearance:

Thoughts: I enjoyed this match, but I do think it was the weaker of the two semifinals bouts. Both girls pulled out all the stops, but i just don’t think they have the same chemistry as AJ and Serena do. Not to mention, Naomi needs a new finisher pronto ( A leg lariat?! Really). The segment where Serena attacks Naomi was excellent. By cutting Naomi’s hair (which is Yaki #9, according to Abraham Washington), Serena created a feud that has the potential to carry on far past the finals of this tournament.

All in all, this tournament has been more exciting (and longer) than any of the tournaments that WWE have put together recently, which is sad seeing how most of these girls aren’t close to ready for the main roster. I suggest that WWE take note of the work their developmental Divas are turning out and try to emulate that on Smackdown and Raw. Hopefully, the finals of this tourney live up to the rest of the matches. For those who are itching to know who becomes the  first ever FCW Divas Champion, spoilers can be found here.

Obviously, not the best example of her wrestling since she pretty much jobbed to Courtney Taylor but there you have it. I think Tamina is absolutely gorgeous — she has such a beautiful face. She may not be the same size as the other girls in FCW or the main roster but she has an amazing look that should get her far. I’m definitely hoping to see more of her, hopefully as a babyface though… I can see the fans getting behind her.

Former ECW backstage interviewer and FCW Diva, Courtney Taylor could be gone from the WWE after her profile was removed from the official FCW website late last night.

Taylor had been called up to the main roster last summer before losing the position to Savannah after deciding to take up vacation days that she had accrued. The move certainly raised eyebrows as she had just been called up at the time and we all know that those first few months are either make or break.

Though we are awaiting for official confirmation, the situation is not dissimilar to that of Jenny Cash’s, who we interviewed yesterday. Cash’s profile was quietly removed from the FCW website in February signalling her release.

The FCW Divas Championship will be decided over the coming weeks.

This is definitely a good move as the girls have been competing, up until now, over crappy plastic crown. The FCW matches are often longer and better than what we see on Raw quite frankly, so this should be exciting to see develop.

After a verbal altercation between former ECW General Manager, Tiffany and the First Lady of Straight Edge, Serena, SmackDown’s newest Divas decide to settle things inside of the squared circle. Watch below, as the blue brand beauties lock horns:

Out first is Serena and she’s carrying a very ominous black bag with her but more on that later. Tiffany comes out next and as always is perky and bubbly. As much as Tiffany cheerleader-esque attitude and gestures used to annoy me, I think she’s actually starting to grow on me. Now, if she could just stop nodding her head constantly.

The two start things off with a basic collar and elbow tie-up and Serena almost immediately overwhelms Tiffany and drives her into the turnbuckle. Serena tries to capitalizes but Tiffany takes her down with some sketchy looking armdrags followed by an armbar. Serena quickly gets to a vertical base and hits Tiffany with a knee to the gut followed by a stiff elbow to the face.

Serena stays on the offense, locking in a extremely aggressive side-headlock and whipping poor Tiffany all around the ring by her head. Luckily for Tiffany, she manages to toss Serena off with a quick takedown. Tiffany keeps the the pressure on Serena, executing a good looking shoulder block, followed by a inverted atomic drop and rounding things off with a jackknife pin for a near fall. Not wasting any time, Tiffany immediately locks in a front chancery, but is once again overcome by Serena and is driven into the corner.

Now we see CM Punk mentoring come into play, as Serena drives the shoulder into Tiffany gut and grinds it in for good measure. Serena whips Tiffany across the ring , but misses a clothesline and receives a cross body for her troubles. Tiffany tries to get the upper hand, but Serena ends up using her like a human battering ram in the corner.

After a failed pin attempt, Serena drags her prey into the middle of the ring and locks in a body scissors which she turns into a pin for the one count. Serena quickly cinches in another submission, now targeting the arm and back of  Tiffany. The former GM regains her footing and reverses a scoop slam from the Anti-Diva, only to be laid out when both Divas decided to go for a flying clothesline.

Both Divas make it to their feet but Tiffany strikes first, leveling Serena with a flurry of elbows followed by a monkey flip. Tiffany goes for a suplex, but Serena counters it into what I can only assume is her personal version of the GTS. Serena goes for the cover and get the win. However, Serena cuts the celebration short and goes for that black bag we saw earlier. Serena reaches in the bag and pulls out those familiar clippers. Looks like Serena plans on making Tiffany an involuntary member of  the SES. Luckily for Tiffany, the Queen of FCW, AJ Lee makes the save with the entire FCW Divas roster in tow.

Honestly speaking,  I thought this was a great match. None of us expected Trish vs Lita part two here, but I think both Divas exceeded expectations in this match. I was especially impressed with Tiffany. She seems to be getting better and better with each match and hopefully she keeps improving. She managed to keep up with Serena without being carried the entire match, which is quite the feat for a rookie.

I also found the ending to be quite interesting. From the looks of things, no one really cares much for Serena or at the very least disagree with her methods. I see this leading up to Serena taking on AJ, with the loser leaving FCW. I don’t think I need to say who’ll win that match.

We can confirm that the new FCW Diva, Jamie Keyes is indeed the blonde who accompanied Kevin Nash at last December’s Final Resolution pay per view as was reported earlier today.

Further to this, we have learned that Keyes’ real name is Brittany Beede and she is a model from Saraosota, Florida.

Beede was actually due to be part of Wrestlicious and took photos for the company last year, one of which can be seen above. Apparently, WWE saw the pictures and made her an offer a couple of weeks ago.

Wrestlicious reps confirm to us that Beede had a verbal agreement to film some footage for the TakeDown series at tapings held last week but had to decline due to signing with WWE.

Meanwhile, the company has also added a new Diva to it’s roster page — a blonde Diva by the name of Jamie Keyes, who looks a tad like Brooke Hogan. Click here to see her profile picture. Nothing is known at this time about Jamie, which I’m assuming is a WWE-given name rather than her real one, so there’s probably nothing on Google about her. Unless my eyes aren’t what they used to be, I don’t think it’s British Diva, Jemma Palmer.

It’s time for some FCW love once again! This week, we’re catching up with an episode from two weeks ago [whoops] when AJ Lee defended the Queen of FCW crown in a match against the fairly new, Naomi Night. The brash new Diva and former Orlando Magic dancer has been on quite a roll in FCW of late and it seemed like a matter of time before she’d lock horns with the more experienced Queen of FC-Dub. How did she do? Let’s find out…

The early half of the match was controlled by Lee very well, despite only being in FCW for a short time, her experience on the independents certainly helps. She has a great ring presence and looked very natural in carrying her opponent and making them both look great. Going back to her early FCW matches, I think she’s found her feet in the WWE style and is much more confident in the ring these days and has much more fire whenever we see her, not dissimilar from a certain three-time Women’s Champ.

In the second act shall we call it, most of Night’s work in this match saw her keeping Lee grounded with some safe, if a little bland, submission moves. Though it’s perhaps best not to get too technical as she’s still green but I’m not sure, I feel we’ve seen more out of her and she could’ve put more in.

Once Lee took back control for the third act, she again looked great. As JR would call them, she had very ‘educated feet’ and hit some lovely kicks and front dropkicks. Her finisher, the standing sliced bread, is definitely unique and fun to watch — love the originality there [well, as original as wrestling can be]. Let’s hope she hangs onto that one.

All in all, the match was very much about AJ Lee and I guess since her crown was on the line, that makes sense. She did a great job and looked awesome in the ring. I hope she finds herself on the main roster soon.

A former Playboy model who was signed to a developmental contract last year is said to have already been dropped by the company.

LordsofPain.net reports there was talk at the FCW taping this past Thursday of Jillian Beyor, whose signing we reported last November, being released.

The 24 year old was crowned Playboy’s Model of the Year in 2008.

Okay, so I admit I’ve been a little lax with my FCW coverage as of late. My bad. Fortunately, I have not one but two FCW Diva matches for your enjoyment this week! First up, Aksana takes on Naomi Night in her FCW in-ring debut. Watch the match below:

First out is Naomi, who is sporting some very unique in-ring attire. Hell, who am I kidding? What the hell is she wearing? I’m all for being creative and unique, but that outfit is just kicking my ass! Maybe it’s the neon green leggings or the purple zebra print bra or maybe even those 1990 Poetic Justice braids, but Naomi’s look is doing nothing for me. WWE, it’s time for a makeover. Aksana comes next and is as perky as can be, which get a laugh-worthy look of disgust from her opponent.

The ladies lock up and exhibit some decent chain wrestling, but the momentum is cut short when Aksana comes in a little late on a dropkick. Naomi uses this to her advantage, immediately going for a clothesline for a two count. Naomi goes straight into a headlock, keeping Aksana grounded, but gets distracted by the ref, which allows Aksana to get back to a vertical base.

The two competitors trade blows until Naomi hits a side Russian Leg Sweep for a near fall. Naomi continues to punish (or panish, if you happen to be Maryse) by choking her out on the ropes, simultaneously modeling those colorful sneakers of hers. Naomi takes Aksana to the mat by the hair and goes for yet another unsuccessful pin. Another submission from Night, but Aksana manages to fight out of it and take the fight to Naomi. Naomi fights her off with an seemingly botched dropkick (which is sold well by Aksana), followed by an impressive step-up enziguri.

Night locks in another submission and Aksana mounts another comeback (I’m starting to see a pattern), but Naomi gets the upper hand with a Melina-esque hair slam for a another close call. Aksana goes for Sunset Flip but it’s reversed by Naomi for the 3 count.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this match but this girl managed to put on an entertaining match. Neither one of them are ready for the main roster by any stretch of the imagination, but they managed to get through a match of a decent length without any major screw ups.

Naomi reminds me of Alicia Fox, in the way she taken to wrestling quickly and shows a lot of potential. I would suggest she work on her repertoire, as she seems to rely on a lot of rest holds. She could also work on cleaning up her bumps, but besides that, she seems to be progressing nicely.

I also found myself impressed with Aksana. For a person who has just started her training a few months ago, she seems pretty comfortable. Just like Naomi, Askana has her sloppy times but in a year or so I’m sure she’ll improve enough to put on a really good match.

Next match is Queen of FCW, AJ Lee teaming up with Johnny Prime to take on Penny Cash and Donny Marlow:

AJ and Prime make their way to the ring first and AJ is smoking. Purple seems to really fit her and her tiara must’ve come with a curling iron, because she even jazzed up her hair for the occasion. I think it bears mentioning that the crowd is going crazy for her. This girl is definitely a star in the making. Penny and Marlow are out next and I must say, I’m loving Cash’s charisma. Penny hits the ring and makes it clear that she wants a piece of the queen, but she’ll have to wait because it looks like are kicking this match.

Fast forward through the guy’s exchange, Marlow tags in Penny and she takes the fight to AJ immediately. AJ dodges a clothesline and hits a series of kicks for a near fall. AJ goes for a dropkick but Penny managed to avoid it and goes on the attack, flinging AJ by the hair and going for the pin.

AJ kicks out, but Penny doesn’t waste any time cinching in a headlock. AJ tries to fight out of it by driving Penny into the corner, but Penny locks it in once again before throwing AJ to the cnavas. As AJ tries to get her head together, Penny goes back to work with a elbow/butt bump from behind for a near fall. AJ tries to make it to her feet but Penny executes a modified Bow and Arrow submission, prompting commentator Byron Saxton to use the phrase “Bendable Carcass”. Penny tries to keep control of the match, but is laid out by a jawbreaker from AJ, sending Penny scrambling for the tag.

Fast forward a little bit more, Penny gets physical with Johnny Prime and AJ takes her down in true cat fight fashion. After a short exchange, Penny reverses an Irish whip into an Oklahoma roll with a handful of tights for the win.

Another strong showing from the FCW Divas. We haven’t seen much from Penny Cash since she was eliminated from the Queen of FCW tournament by Alicia Fox, but she seems to have improved since then. Judging by the outcome of this match, I’d guess that a fued between Penny and AJ was in the works, but with Penny being released a few weeks back, the top heel role is up for grabs. My vote goes for Naomi Night or  maybe even a new FCW Diva. Jemma Palmer, anyone?

Last year, we broke the news that WWE had signed former Gladiator, ‘Inferno’ Jemma Palmer to a developmental contract but after being signed by the company, suspicion was raised by fans when she hadn’t shown up in FCW.

The newest Brit Diva has broken her long silence, speaking to The Sun in the UK and reveals that she is finally heading to FCW in March after months of visa issues:

“I’ve been waiting on my Visa which has taken seven months but I fly out at the beginning of March.

“In the meantime I’ve been training hard in the gym twice a day power lifting and fitness training and also showing my little sister the ropes — I’ve been beating her up!”

Jemma says she would have joined WWE last year but the Visa process was an obstacle.

She added: “WWE applied for a special green card so I can eventually be a US citizen but you have to be a person of extraordinary ability.

“I had lots of evidence to put together and in the end the application weighed five pounds in total.”

Jemma was part of the cast for the British version of American Gladiators from 2008 through early 2009 when the show was cancelled by network Sky1. Her co-star on that show, Oblivion, is now known as Brutus Magnus of the British Invasion in TNA.

First out is the challenger AJ Lee, who is perky as always. AJ’s ability to get the crowd behind her is a great quality to have and will definitely benefit her when she makes the jump to the main roster. Out next is the Champion Serena, sporting some new gear (Finally!). The newly converted Serena removes her trademark Fedora to revealed that freshly shaven head we’ve all come to love (or hate) in the past month on Smackdown.

The two Divas start things off with a lockup and AJ immediately gets the advantage, cinching in a side headlock. Serena counters and lays AJ out with a shoulder block. Serena attempts to capitalize, but AJ rolls her up with a small package out of nowhere for the 1-count.

Serena attempts to use her size and strength advantage to overpower her smaller challenger, but AJ’s manages to get the jump on her with a impressive Mexican Armdrag. AJ goes for the Sliced Bread #2, but Serena turns it into a modified (*coughsloppycough*) backbreaker and goes for several unsuccessful pins.

Serena stays on the offense, driving her knees into AJ’s back before slamming her headfirst into the turnbuckle. Serena then uses a unique maneuver, pulling and twisting AJ’s hair, then using it to toss her across the ring. Do I sense some jealousy? Hmmm…

AJ tries to get back to a vertical base but Serena is having none of that. She set AJ up in the corner and goes to work with some vicious shoulder blocks to the back and a few more fruitless pins attempts. Serena immediately goes for a few rest holds, slapping AJ around in the process. AJ manages to get back to her feet, but Serena takes her back down with a shot to the back.

AJ finally manages to get a leg up (literally), sending Serena to the outside with a hurricanrana. AJ strikes while the iron’s hot with a Lita-esque diving hurricanrana. Wow. Haven’t seen that in awhile, huh? AJ tosses the champ in the ring and makes her way to the top rope for a high crossbody and a 2-count.

AJ tries to keep the heat on Serena but the straight egde disciple manages to get AJ in a very familiar postion. Where have I seen that before? Oh yeah, here. And here. Can we all agree that this horse is long dead and needs to stop being beaten?

AJ squirms out of the precarious position and into a crucifix pin for the 3-count and the crown. Serena goes off the deep end while a shocked AJ celebrates with her new bling.

Judging by the way FCW has been pushing AJ as of late, this outcome was pretty predictable, especially with Serena being called up to Smackdown. That said, these two Divas managed to put on a match that put some of the crap we’ve seen on Raw in the past 2 months to shame. I’d even say it rivals some of our recent PPV Diva matches.

AJ was a firecracker as always, pulling off some impressive aerial maneuvers. I see her getting her callup soon, maybe after a fued with up-and-comer Naomi Night. She has more than proved herself in her recent outings in FCW. Maybe there’s a spot waiting for her on the NXT roster as we speak.

Serena was also really impressive, playing the dominating heel to a tee. I’ve said before that I don’t find her believable as a heel, but I really think she is starting to come into it nicely. All in all, an exciting and enjoyable match from FCW. Raw writers, please take note. This is what a title match should be like.

Welcome to FCW watch, where we take a look at our future Divas down in Florida Championship Wrestling. On the last edition of FCW Watch, we saw an impressive singles debut from former Orlando Magic dancer, Naomi Night. This week we get yet another debut from Abraham Washington’s better half, Liviana, as she teams up with Naomi Night to face AJ Lee and Raw Diva, Eve. Will Liviana impress us as much as her partner did in her match? Watch the match below and be the judge:

Naomi and Liviana make their way to the ring first, to the tune of a generic Gwen Stefani rip-off. Next out is future Queen of FCW candidate, AJ Lee who introduces her partner Eve.

Eve is set to start things off with Naomi, but Naomi wants a piece of AJ, perhaps to avenge her loss last week. The two lock up and show some of their basic wrestling skills until AJ gets the upper hand, laying Naomi out with a stiff dropkick. AJ Lee stays on the offense, throwing some forearms but Naomi takes control, tossing AJ into the middle rope.

Naomi uses her size advantage over AJ to choke her out using the ropes. When the referee reprimands her, Liviana takes the opportunity to inflict some more damage.  Naomi goes for a pin, but only gets a one. Frustrated, Naomi pulls AJ over to her corner and tags in her partner, Liviana.

Right out the gate Liviana goes for the pin with a nicely executed schoolboy pin. Liviana grabs AJ by the hair and pulls her up, but AJ strikes back with a few strange looking forearms. AJ tries to whip Liviana towards the ropes, but Liviana reverses it and pulls AJ down by the hair. After a two count and a shortlived Camel Clutch, Liviana tags in Naomi. Naomi takes the fight to AJ, but misses a splash in the corner, giving AJ the opportunity to tag in her fresh partner, Eve.

Eve immediately goes on a Kelly Kelly-esque flurry, hitting a clothesline followed by a one-legged dropkick. Eve goes for the quick finish, hitting a senton, but the pin is broken up by Liviana. AJ tries to take out Liviana, but Liviana is one step ahead and tosses her out the ring. Eve rushes to her partner rescue, attempting a corkscrew kick. Unfortunately, she misses her mark but covers the botch well. Eve takes Liviana out and hits a picture perfect moonsault on Naomi for the win.

I have to admit, this match wasn’t nearly as good as last week. Although Naomi is really good for a beginner, she seems to have trouble with ring positioning, leading to some awkward spots. That said, she has good charisma and seems to mesh well with AJ Lee. Hopefully we’ll see some more work between these two in the future.

Speaking of AJ Lee, it’s been obvious these past few weeks that AJ is next in line for Mia Mancini’s crown. With Mia becoming an integal part CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society, I expect AJ to take the crown at their next meeting and have a lengthy fued with Naomi Night. 

I never thought I’d see a match in which Eve was considered the veteran, but she definately had the egde when it came to experience in this match. Eve did well here, but as the more experienced competitor, I expected her to have a bigger role in the match. Her tendency to choose flash over substance also came back to bite her in the ass, when she missed that spin kick. At least it happened on FCW and not on live TV. That’d be embarrassing, huh? Which brings me to tonight’s debut, Liviana.

Like Eve, Liviana didn’t do much in this match, but managed to get through it with out any major botches. While not as impressive as Naomi, Liviana seems to have some potential and I’m interested to see how she develops from this point on.

All in all, not a bad match from our FCW divas this week, but definately not their best showing. However, with some more training, this new generation of Divas could be quite competent between the ropes. How did you guys like this week’s match? Leave your thought in the comments!

Welcome to another edition of our FCW Watch, where we take a look at matches taking place in the WWE’s top developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling. Today, we have a match from the January 31st show: AJ Lee vs. Naomi Night. Watch the match below:

Before either of those Divas can make their entrances, the Queen of FCW Mia Mancini makes her way to the ring, wearing a pretty unconvincing wig a beautiful 100% real head of hair. She is here, as always, to survey the competition for her crown. Naomi Night is up next, making her singles debut (you may remember her being signed in August of last year). AJ Lee is out next, and the match begins.

The two Divas face off in the middle of the ring, and Naomi uses her hair as a unique alternative to the “talk to the hand” move, whipping it in AJ’s face. AJ takes her down in response, pounding on her before being pulled off by the referee. AJ remains dominant through most of the beginning of the match, using her acrobatic moves to get in a few pin attempts on Naomi. One in particular I liked was the arm drag counter into the rolling pin. For a newcomer to the ring, Naomi can take the moves–which require a lot of capability on her part–pretty well.

AJ attempts a hurricanrana from the corner, but Naomi tosses her to the apron, knocking her head against the exposed ring post. Following that, her offense mainly consists of a few kicks and a sit-down maneuver onto AJ’s back. She goes for an unsuccessful pin attempt and then locks AJ into a submission, a knee in her back and her arms stretched backwards. AJ fights free and goes to attack Naomi off the ropes, but Naomi slides under her and between her legs, showing some impressive athleticism–think her background as an Orlando Magic dancer has something to do with it?

She then leaps and hits a gigantic bicycle kick, laying out AJ. She seems to have a lot of the same tall, leggy athletic tendencies as Alicia Fox, even down to the difficulty folding up for a quick pin. After stalling a bit she goes for the pin, but only gets 2. She whips AJ into the corner and performs a superfluous, hands-free cartwheel (a la John Morrison) before going for a flying clothesline. AJ dodges it, though, and Naomi hits the turnbuckle head first. AJ rolls her up for a pin, but gets a 1-count.

Naomi, still rattled, manages to cut off AJ’s offense with a clothesline. AJ battles back, though, and manages to roll up Naomi again off the ropes, getting 2. he then goes on a streak of offense, hitting a dropkick and several spin kicks before hitting a Shining Wizard to Naomi’s face. She goes for the pin but surprisingly, Naomi kicks out at 2. Naomi reverses an irish whip into the turnbuckle but gets two boots to the midsection when she goes for the attack. AJ grabs her by the head, climbs the turnbuckle, and slams her back down with the Sliced Bread, getting the 3-count and the win.

That was quite an impressive match, especially for featuring such a green Diva (and in her FIRST singles match!). AJ Lee was as exciting as always, but Naomi proved to be very capable in the ring, able to take all of AJ’s fancy moves and deliver quite a few of her own. That athletic background certainly helps, and I’m sure with time she could be quite a good wrestler–there’s just so much potential there. Like I said, her ring style reminds me a bit of Alicia Fox, and I think if the WWE were to give her a shot, she could be a big star, as she’s already showing a lot of personality in her ring entrance an in whipping AJ Lee with her hair at the start of the match. Speaking of AJ, she seems like a ready-made star for the WWE, an easy babyface for the crowd to get behind with her eye-popping moves and fast-paced style. Both of these girls demonstrated a lot of potential for the big time in this match. I just hope the high-ups were watching.

Food for thought: Do you think AJ Lee will be brought up to the main WWE roster sometime this year?

Newly called up Diva, Serena Deeb is once again going by the name Serena Mancini. Deeb appeared at last night’s FCW taping [with her newly shaven head] and was given her first name back after going by Mia Mancini for several months.

Upon her developmental debut, she was initially known as Serena followed by Serena Mancini.

Serena’s WWE debut airs tonight on SmackDown.

I have to admit when I saw this match on paper I cringed. Rosa Mendes, who hasn’t exactly had the best showings between the ropes, teamed up with Naomi Night, who has only been training for four months?! A train wreck just waiting to happen, right?

To my surprise, these ladies put on a decent match. Rosa’s exile to ECW seems to have done her good, as her ring skills are a lot more polished here than they have been in her last few matches. She still no Molly Holly, but she managed to get through the match with no noticeable botches, which is always a good thing.

As always, AJ Lee put on a great show, but it was Courtney and Naomi that really caught my eye in this match. Courtney hasn’t had very much time in the ring as of late, but she managed to do pretty well. Her kick at the end was a little sketchy and her finisher needs a complete overhaul, but aside from that, a solid outing from Taylor. Naomi came out of the gate showing some sass in her ring entrance and exhibiting a grasp of the fundamentals. She didn’t get much offense in, but perhaps that’s for the best. A sure shot way to botch up your match is trying to do too much before you’re ready. By no means in she ready for the main roster, but at this rate she could be a solid competitor before too long.

This was a nice little match that told a good story — the brute force of Natalya dominating her younger, smaller opponent before the fast paced AJ Lee mounted her comeback near the end. I like AJ’s pace, she’s quick on her feet and has good ring presence. Some nice spots here including AJ countering that tilt-a-whirl backbreaker into an arm drag and later Natalya catching her into a powerslam.

I’d love to see AJ moulded into an aerial wrestler ala Gail Kim and Sarita, she has the stature and pace but right now her moves are a little more ground based. I know she is an avid fan of Melina and kinda moulded herself around the Divas Champion before she joined WWE, but perhaps moving into a highflying style could separate her from becoming a mini-Melina.

Good match and it’s nice to see Natalya pick up a win.

I have to say, starting a match with a rest hold doesn’t exactly allow one to hold much promise for an exciting match. Overall, it looks as though both girls were stuck in slow-mo–even the arm drags were slow. Courtney’s definitely giving me a Kelly Kelly vibe, especially with the ginger ring movements and flashy moves (what exactly was that handstand move in the corner, by the way?). AJ and Courtney just didn’t seem to have much chemistry, with mis-timed exchanges scattered throughout the match. They never got out of the starting gate and seemed preoccupied with slowing the match down to avoid any mishaps. The only excitement I got out of the whole match was AJ’s finisher, and even that was set up awkwardly.

So the match wasn’t much at all, but why did it fall so short? AJ looks to have a lot of potential, but Courtney seems to be a little uncomfortable in the ring so far, and that severely limited the match as a whole. Hopefully she can improve her ring presence and buck the inevitable Kelly Kelly comparisons (like the one I made above.. oops).

Next we have an edition of the Abraham Washington Show, with Liviana accompanying FCW’s GM to the ring. His guest is new FCW Diva Aksana, who we featured on the site last month:

The announcers make comparisons between her and Pamela Anderson, and I can see it, but she hails from Lithuania and speaks in broken English, so I guess the comparisons end on the surface. She tells Abraham that she wants to be the next Queen of FCW (what is with obsession over that damn title?). Abraham continuously hits on her throughout the interview (with slightly less subtlety than a jackhammer), prompting Liviana to object a few times. He offers Aksana a place on his “cabinet” and gets her to says something in Lithuanian, but she is interrupted by the entrance of Eli Cottonwood, who everyone but Aksana seems repulsed by. He says a few nonsensical things, and she follows him around the ring a bit, seeming to be smitten. I guess what all of this amounts to is that this Frankenstein’s monster-esque guy has some new arm candy. They’re going for the “Beauty and the Beast” vibe, I’m guessing. That is, you know, if the Beast waxed poetic about the sound of bones in wood chippers..

In my last FCW post, I said I wasn’t fond of Mia’s new found, powerhouse heel persona, and I still feel the same. That said, I feel it worked a lot better here than it has in the past. Perhaps it’s because AJ is so small, but seeing Mia toss her around like a rag doll was more convincing than it was against other opponents.

One of the major complaints about Mia and AJ’s last match was lack of chemistry. These two definitely stepped it up in that department. Mia’s selling was on point and AJ had some really good offense. I see these two having some really good matches in the future, as they’re the most experienced Divas in FCW at the moment.

The standout moment of this match had to be the finish. AJ’s standing Sliced Bread #2 was executed perfectly and is a very unique move for a Diva to have in her arsenal. I’m sure AJ’s acrobatic, Gail Kim-esque repertoire will get her a fair amount of attention when she finally joins the main roster.

All in all, I would say (aside from Mia’s match with Gail) this is the best outing I’ve seen from either of these women since they’re debuts. Judging by the ending, it’s safe to assume this will be next big FCW Diva feud. If they can keep this up, I’m sure they won’t disappoint.

This is a definite step up from Mia’s recent showings on FCW [AJ Lee, Tiffany] and it just shows the technical prowess of Kim, let’s be honest, she hasn’t had the best year after arguably the greatest year of her career in 2008. I think it’s sad that Gail — who as at one time a huge draw for TNA — can’t draw a big pop in a small sized arena like the FCW Arena. I really believe in her and hope 2010 is a better year for her.

Meanwhile, I hate to say it but I feel Mia, like Gail, has become diluted since joining WWE. I don’t consider many of her FCW matches to be memorable. This one is a step up in memorability, but I’d say that’s more to do with the Gail factor than anything else.

To be honest, I wasn’t impressed with this match. In fact, I haven’t been very impressed with Mia since her FCW debut. Her new heel persona seems to limit her in the ring. Usually, she’s the underdog with the fast paced moveset, but I find her new hard-hitting, ground-and-pound arsenal unconvincing and boring at times. Hopefully she’ll adjust to her new style soon. I’m a big fan of her work and I know she can bring a lot to FCW and WWE, given some time.

Tiffany did well in this match, but it was obvious she’s been out of the ring for awhile. There were a few moments of miscommunication that led to some sloppiness, but besides that a decent showing.

Out of the last three matches Mia has had on FCW TV, this is probably the worst. It suffers from a lack of chemistry, along with a half dead crowd. Here’s to hoping Mia’s next match against Gail Kim impresses.

Compared to their first match which I wasn’t a big fan of, this go around, the work is far more solid and the two Divas seem to have found some chemistry. That said, like the bout with AJ Lee, I think this match plodded along and wasn’t too memorable.

I’m holding on patiently for that Mia vs Natalya match!

If I’m really honest, I can’t say the match captured my undivided attention. As talented as both girls may be, there’s something here that bordered into becoming boring. I’ve most definitely seen better work from Serena. I wonder if this was watered down to meet WWE’s standards? Not a bad match at all, don’t get me wrong, but not wholly exciting either.

Given that she’s just in the first few months of her career since reporting to FCW in August, she’s bound to be bad in the ring hence the flailing around, almost. That said, I think Naomi shows some promise, showing off her athleticism with that jump over Lee and she certainly carries herself confidently — you can see some fierceness and aggression at the start of the video. Though too soon to judge, not a terrible start and I’m curious to see how she progresses.

One thing I would pick up on is that maybe it’s time for a makeover, she looks more like a member of Kandy Rain than the part of a wrestler.

Radouniene signed a contract with developmental earlier this year, however news of her signing only became apparent to the wrestling press after first being covered here on Diva Dirt last month.

We have learned that Zivile was signed in the summer. John Laurinaitis, Vice President of Talent Relations in WWE, was reportedly familiar with her modelling work so that could explain how her signing came about.

Interesting to note, Zivile is 27 years old which is somewhat older compared to the women WWE have signed to developmental deals in the past, they tend to be in their early 20s.

The FCW website has also added a profile picture for Trinity McCray, now known as Naomi Night.

They have also removed Alicia Fox’s profile which suggests that she has officially graduated to the main roster. Savannah and Rosa Mendes, meanwhile remain listed.

Recently signed FCW talent, Trinity McCray has been renamed in the developmental territory. She is now going by the name of Naomi Knight.

McCray made her in-ring debut for FCW television at this past week’s taping.

The name name is seemingly a play on Naomi Campbell; I wonder if WWE has a name book filled with racial stereotypes?

Following in the footsteps of Lacey Von Erich (didn’t work) and Natalya (worked out), WWE is reportedly scouting another third-generation female – Amy Hennig, daughter of the late ‘Mr Perfect’ Curt Hennig.

Amy has been wrestling since March 2008 under pro wrestling legend Harley Race, and according to Wrestling Observer, could wind up in FCW soon. Brother Joe Hennig is already in developmental.

The website also notes that Hennig is a ‘dead ringer’ for current Diva, Beth Phoenix and has mannerisms that are uncannily like her father.

So I don’t quite understand why the rest of the girls would need to sit at ringside, at least surround the ring like lumberjacks. This just looks dumb.

The match starts off fairly well with Serena overpowering her opponent with a belly-to-back takedown. Hey what do you know, they do the old “I talked to XYZ earlier today…” in FCW too. Eye roll. Serena takes down Angela and toys with her, asserting her heel-like authority over the reigning Queen. Angela fights back with forearms but gets thrown into the ropes, Serena goes for a hip-toss but Angela counters with a botched takedown… not sure exactly what she was going for. She follows through with an equally weak armdrag, before hitting a dropkick. Serena charges at Angela, Angela hits a drop-toe hold and then returns the favour from earlier by slapping Serena around the head.

A couple more [weak] armdrags, then a leap over Serena in the corner followed by Serena throwing her out of the ring. Back in the ring, Serena goes for quick covers but to no avail. Serena with shoulder tackles in the corner & then a hair toss. She then goes for a submission move, stretching Angela out who soon gains some traction but her momentum is stopped by Serena with another shoulder into the gut. She repeats a couple of times before Angela manages to muster a reverse backslide followed by a lovely kick to the face. The move leaves both Divas out on the canvas.

As the two Divas come to, Angela throws forearms at Serena then a kick to the stomach and a knee smash. Angela goes for a lovely tilt-a-whirl, moving into a crossbody from the top rope which is done nicely. We then see an exchange of reversals before Angela goes for a rollup. Serena kicks out and then sets up & hits the dominator for the win. That means Serena is crowned the new Queen of FCW.

Angela has perhaps been the most buzzed about Diva in FCW but unfortunately, this wasn’t her best outing. Her execution of certain moves wasn’t great and not in line with the buzz that’s surrounded her. Judging by that performance, I’m not convinced; she has had much better matches & that one was more on par with Rosa or Maria than Alicia or Eve, who she should be rivalling. Serena is a great worker already and I look forward to seeing her match with Natalya, I would argue that it’ll blow most of the main roster matches out of the water if they are really allowed to go. Even with WWE’s Diva restrictions, I expect it will be great.

It’s rather unfortunate that the #1 Contender for the Divas Championship still has to work the FCW tapings lol. Granted this was probably taped a while ago, but Alicia Fox is very much ‘main roster’ now. Could Serena’s gimmick be more stereotypical? The music, the hat, the name… I wonder if they’ll recycle Trinity’s old “Full Bodied Italian” nickname? Speaking of recycling… Tiffany using Torrie Wilson’s entrance song pisses me off to no end. I guess their train of thought is, “It doesn’t matter… blonde for a blonde.” *Eye roll* And if Tiffany’s use of Torrie’s music was bad, why would she go and shoot herself in the foot even more by pretty much ripping off Maria’s entrance? That whole thing on the turnbuckle came across very Maria minus the boob-jiggling.

This is really the first opportunity I’ve had to see April and Tiffany work a match; I’ve seen Serena main event SHIMMER and we’ve all seen Alicia tangle with the best of the main roster, but these two not so much. I was very impressed with April, she has a lot of ring presence and is already a good worker. That exchange with Serena where she countered her move into an arm drag was great and the crossbody from the top was also nicely done. Just from that short moment, I could see Serena & April having some great chemistry in singles matches. I look forward to seeing that.

As for Tiffany, she’s pretty bad. Her moves look awkward, she seems hesitant in the ring, almost as if she’s thinking about things before she does them and there’s no fluidity. It reminds me of girls like Eve, who also had those issues in the FCW matches I saw of her last year. The way she hits her moves, like Maria & Kelly, doesn’t look believable and just comes across flat. The forearms, that awful dropkick and that double-clothesline. Not impressed. Perhaps it’s best if she sticks to being a GM.

I’m actually surprised that Serena is able to use that finishing move… it’s not very Diva-y. Very cool, but not very Diva-y. I wouldn’t be surprised if they told her to drop it for something else. That’s how they roll.

PS: Anyone know if the Serena vs Angela match has aired?

A former Hooters model (Oh dear..), Courtney had been training in FCW for some time, being used largely in a managerial role for Superstar Alex Riley. The pair had participated in dark matches in the past few television tapings. We’ll see if this interviewer role sticks, or if she’ll actually spawn into an official ECW Diva. Personally, I can’t say I see much of a promising future in interviewing ECW Superstars week in, week out. Though I must admit, it’s always exciting to see new Divas being born.

Random observation (blatantly stealing from Melanie here): Does she look a bit like Melissa Joan Hart to you? I’m getting Sabrina the Teenage Witch vibes.

Former SHIMMER and OVW star, Serena has been renamed in WWE’s developmental camp, FCW. She now goes by the name of Serena Mancini.

It’s certainly a start, hopefully they’ll end up dropping the ‘Mancini’ and just go with Serena by the time she’s on the main roster.

FCW is touting a swimsuit competition between the Divas of the territory at it’s End of Summer Bash on August 28th. Serena, Alicia Fox and Rosa Mendes are advertised as competing as is someone by the name of Liviana. We’ll see which future Diva blasphemed to earn that name, in the coming weeks I guess.

EDIT: Liviana is the new ringname for Candy Girl, thanks Kaledrina for pointing that out.

- ‘Who is Candy Girl?’ is the main question I’ve been asked. Candy Girl is the Diva previously known as Carly, who started in FCW a few months back. She’s currently in a storyline with Angela and Sweet Papi Sanchez.

- Jemma Palmer, whose signing we broke here at Diva Dirt, has not been named Penelope Carwin. That news is false.

- Rachael Carr, who was highly publicised in The Sun online edition a couple of months ago is no longer with FCW.

New WWE Diva, Serena Deeb made her FCW debut at a house show last night in Punta Gorda, Florida. It looks as though they have ditched the ‘Deeb’ as she went simply by the name of Serena.

She teamed with Maria and Angela Fong in a winning effort against Alicia Fox, Layla and Natalya.

So it looks like Serena will be starting out as a babyface. Yay or nay? Tell us what you think in the comments.

So there you have it, the final word. Jemma joins recent new signees Serena Deeb and April Jeanette [Gloria Marie].

The WWE Divas were on display in Florida Championship Wrestling last night. After a couple of Diva-less weeks, FCW gets back into it’s stride pitting RAW Diva Rosa Mendes and SmackDown Diva Layla (pre-frizz) against Smackdown Diva Alicia Fox and Angela Fong. Sounds good, right? Yeah…, not so much. Watch the match below to see what I mean:

Before I get into the match itself, just a small note. Why does FCW keep missing the memo when it comes to Alicia? When she was a face in WWE, FCW was booking her as a heel and now that she’s a heel, they’re booking her as a face. So ass backwards. Weren’t there any babyfaces available? Throw one of the Bellas in there; it’s not like their WWE schedule is jam packed. Anyway, onto the match.

Unfortunately, this match starts off on a sour note and rides it all the way to the pinfall. Alicia and Rosa starts things off with some basic chain wrestling. Whilst running the ropes, Rosa manages to trip over Alicia. Yes, you read that right. Rosa trips over Alicia *sigh*. The ensuing confusion leads to a very weird takedown by Alicia. Both Divas manage to get the tag, and Angela hits a awkward ‘rana on Layla and tags to Alicia. Alicia with a kick to the gut and her patented Axe Kick. Alicia hits the ropes and Rosa misses her spot (C’mon Rosa! Really?!) to pull Alicia’s hair, so it has to be repeated (awkwardly, might I add).

The heels take control and Layla applies a submission, followed by a snapmare into a dropkick for a nearfall. Rosa tags back in, and goes to work on Alicia. A very ineffective looking submission by Rosa, which (thankfully) is quickly relinquished. Alicia hits a spin kick, which is sadly the best spot in this match, and tags in her partner. Fast forward through the usual ‘Hot Tag Flurry’, Angela sets up the Saki Bomb, but is distracted by Layla. Rosa takes mercy on us and rolls Angela up for the win.

The best part in this match was when it ended, and Layla makes Tiffany give her Angela’s crown (Give it to me! Give it to me! Thank you! SCREW YOU! Lol.) and gives it to Rosa. Angela attacks Rosa, jumping on the dropkick-through-the-ropes bandwagon and takes back her crown.

I usually sing the praises of the FCW Divas, but this match was really bad – possibly the worst I’ve on FCW. I don’t anything great to say about any of these girls, but Rosa is on my s**t-list. I said before that I think Rosa is hesitant, but after this match, my mind is officially changed. Sloppiness, missed spots and botching? Sadness. Rosa really needs to go back to FCW full time. I don’t know what motivated WWE to give her the call-up, but if they watched this match surely they’re having second thoughts.

If this match has done one good thing, it has motivated me to start a ‘Send Rosa Mendes back to FCW’ petition. Anyone else with me? Thoughts in the comments please.

FCW’s resident gossip queen, Jenny Cash has a brand new gimmick.  The most recent  episode of Florida Championship Wrestling saw Jenny managing Le Frenchmen (Trent Baretta aka Girl From Mexico and Caylen Croft) under the new ringname, Fifi. So does that mean no more Express News and Gossip?! No more ‘CHA-CHING!!!’ Oh, no! My heart is breaking *sniff, sniff*. So what do you guys think of the sudden image change? Do you want OctoMom the old Jenny back. Sound off!

Fifi’s Debut

Carly worked a match teaming with Angela Fong against Jenny Cash and Beverly Mullins at a house show last month, but is not under WWE contract. She is in fact, simply a student learning to wrestle independent of WWE.

Finally, after a hiatus due to the events of WrestleMania 25, FCW has returned with another weekly event featuring our Divas in training. This week, we were treated to the encounter between ECW’s Alicia Fox and Raw’s Rosa Mendes. However, there was no Express News & Gossip featuring the Octo-Mom Jenny Cash; apparently she has adopted a new gimmick as the valet of a Frenchman and now wears a French Maid outfit to the ring. I’m kind of heartbroken and at a loss for words… anyway, check out the action below, featuring the Queen of FCW Angela Fong as the ring announcer.

FCW 04/05/2009: ALICIA FOX VS. ROSA MENDES

Talk about a slobberknocker! This match was kind of slow to start off with and there were two botches I saw during the match, but looking at the bigger picture, I really enjoyed this match. Alicia Fox is really growing on me more and more every time I see her in the ring (hint hint WWE, I said in the ring not standing outside the ring doing nothing). She is really coming into her own as a wrestler and is truly unique. I also think Rosa Mendes is becoming better. Judging from this match and a few others she’s had, she’s not completely polished but she puts on a great show. As a heel, she does a great job by yelling at the fans, taunting Alicia, and screaming. With just a little more training, she probably wouldn’t botch that monkey flip that Alicia Fox tried to execute.

To top it all off, Alicia Fox also ended up getting a bloody lip! That either means Rosa messed up and really clocked Alicia in the face or these two are just getting better in the ring to where their fighting is that intense, which I love seeing.

Pretty much my only concern with this match other than the botch is the ending. I don’t quite get how Alicia lost. The axe kick she performed at the end is her finishing move, but somehow Rosa just “gets up” and two moves later, rolls Alicia up for the victory. Aside from how much I hate matches that end with a silly roll-up, isn’t the point of a finishing move to… finish the match? Granted if you’re HBK, you can kick out of a Tombstone. But to have Rosa play it off like it was just a regular little kick seems kind of bad to me.

My verdict of this match is that Alicia is ready to move on up out of the shadows in ECW and get drafted to either Raw or SmackDown. I think she’d do well on either show, so long as WWE does it right creatively. Rosa, however, could probably be better off on SmackDown to fix up the little glitches here and there. Angela still doesn’t do it for me as the ring announcer, but if the rumors are true and she is coming to Raw, then I’m not sure what will happen. Seems like the entire FCW roster is pouring out onto WWE television and I think that’s going to leave Jenny Cash and Wesley Holliday as the only ones left there full-time. Angela might not jump into the ring right off the bat, but the Divas roster will be around 19 or 20!

Overall, I loved the match and it’s great to see these two lovely Divas improving so much in the ring.

Looks like Angela Fong may finally be getting her call up to the main roster… as a manager.

According to reports online, WWE officials are in discussions to bring the Queen of FCW to the main roster as a manager for Cryme Tyme. I don’t know how I feel about this. I would love to see Angela on my screen every Monday, but not as a manager. I would rather have her stay in development until they can bring her up as a wrestler. And why Cryme Tyme?! I don’t think there has ever been a more unlikely teaming. I see a big image change in Angela’s future.

Don’t get too excited though, Angela fans. It is April Fool’s Day, of course, so take this news with a grain of salt.

This past week, FCW held another one of its weekly events for our future Divas. Building off the Queen of FCW Tournament storyline, Angela Fong and Rosa Mendes finally met in the ring, one-on-one. Of course, that plastic crown continues to be the center of Rosa’s attention. Aside from that, we were once again treated to another one of the Octo-Mom’s Jenny Cash‘s Oscar-worthy gossip segments; a “segment we could live without” in Jenny’s own words, although she won’t let us! Chaaaaaaaaaaaa-ching!

Angela Fong vs. Rosa Mendes

Rosa pretty much dominated the match, but she wasn’t entirely impressive. It appeared her toss of Angela out the ring seemed to be legit and Angela either sold the hit really well or took a bad fall onto the outside floor. Looks like Rosa is practicing her ring-tossing skills for the upcoming Divas Battle Royal at WrestleMania 25 just over a week away; she’s going to need all the practice she can get if she wants to survive that match and not look completely clueless, since it wil be her WWE in-ring debut.

Angela usually has a great offense and a flexible moveset, but she really just let Rosa control the entire match. She had her Matrix-like ducking to avoid Rosa’s attack, but other than that, she remained pretty lifeless, almost as if she was being Rosa’s practice dummy for WrestleMania. Of course, with Angela being the Queen of FCW and a face, she had to win the matchup, so at the last second she pulled out a Sake Bomb and picked up the win.

I guess it was good to see these Divas in the ring again, but overall, it was a pretty lackluster match for two Divas who have been training as long as these two have. Rosa especially better step up her game if she wants to make it on Raw!
