There’s only room for one Jersey Shore star in the wrestling scene right now.

Well, that is according to former ‘Shore’ star and recent celebrity TNA Knockout, Angelina Pivarnick.

Pivarnick is not happy that Snooki is getting into the ring with WWE, telling TMZ that the pint-sized guidette has ripped her off.

Adding insult to injury, Angelina — who is training to wrestle at the IWF school in Jersey — says Snooki is “a fat troll who should never wear those shorts … or be in a wrestling ring.”

Yikes! Well, we all know how to settle this one — in the ring!

Actor Dustin Diamond, who has dabbled in wrestling on and off in the past — including a stint on Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling — will appear at AAW in Merrionette Park, IL on February 11th and has laid down an open challenge which has been accepted by MsChif!

Everybody’s favourite French poodle rocked a silver mini-dress earlier tonight on WWE Superstars, and as gorgeous as she looked, the first thing that came to mind was, “Seen that dress before.”

Indeed, it is the same dress worn by SmackDown Diva, Rosa Mendes and TNA Knockout, Chelsea in two different photoshoots that just so happened to go online during the same week back in March. Eerie!

At the time, we joked that we were ‘seeing double‘, but seeing triple? What are the odds? (Well, actually, Nikki Bella, Maria and Michelle McCool were all seen in the same top last year.)

There goes our fantasy that Maryse never buys off the rack…

We’ll let you be the judge, but it seems as though the newly reformed Beautiful People, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky had some choice words on last night’s episode of TNA Reaction, the new behind-the-scenes ‘docu-drama’ which follows Impact.

“We created a group that has been like no other for women in professional wrestling. People have tried to be like this. People have tried to join us,” says Angelina.

A more feisty Velvet, chimed in saying: “For all you wannabe Beautiful People girls out there… and you know EXACTLY who I’m talking about… get a life. You will never be us.”

Meanwhile, Angelina adds: “You’re not cool, by the way.”

‘Cool’? Interesting choice of words…

The accuser, Gabriela Targos, tells TMZ Chyna called her up to hang out at the motel Saturday — but when Gabriela arrived, she claims Chyna immediately snapped and began attacking her for no reason.

Targos, who claims she’s been friends with Chyna for years, says the former wrestler punched her in the face, dragged her by the hair, beat her with a wire hanger and threatened to kill her.

Gabriela claims she somehow managed to run out of the motel room, booked it down the street, and approached some cops who were eating dinner — who then took a police report.

Gabriela claims she met with LAPD detectives Wednesday morning. So far, no arrests have been made.

Eerie coincidence or swagger jacking? WWE Diva, Rosa Mendes and new TNA Knockout, Chelsea both got new photoshoots on their respective company’s websites this week — and were both seen wearing the same dress.

Sky Sportszine, a free magazine for Sky satellite subscribers in the UK, has made something of a blunder in its countdown of the top ten WWE Divas to hold the Women’s Championship — half of the list has never even held a belt.

Five Divas included on the list have yet to hold gold in the WWE, including Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Maria, Natalya and Tiffany.

Meanwhile the list only seems to include current WWE Divas with four-time Women’s Champion and one-time Divas Champion, Mickie James taking the top spot.

They just don’t make magazines like they used to!

There’s a reason why you guys voted Sunny to win the ‘Bitch, Please’ accolade during the Hot Mess Awards last year. Her tirade against Lacey Von Erich helped mar any legacy she may have had left in the wrestling industry but that isn’t stopping Sunny from striking again.

This time, Sunny — real name Tammy Sytch — took to her Facebook page to comment about the Bella Twins getting ‘chubby’ over the holidays. She writes:

“There’s no excuse for any of those girls in their early 20s to get a little chubby. Wait until they hit 35 and everything slows the f–k down. Then what? They are getting paid to look a certain way. If I was there right now, I’d weigh 118 f–king skinny ass pounds again!”

Newsflash: You aren’t there right now. It comes across as Tammy being a little bitter watching these new girls and thinks it should be her. And for a woman who has spent the past decade or so fluctuating her own weight, it’s laughable that she’d criticise others.

The Bellas look just fine [see Monday's Raw], in fact, if anything I’d like to see a little more meat on their bones. It’s ridiculous that people criticise girls for being ‘too fat’ and others for being ‘too thin’, when they all look healthy. It only perpetuates a negative message to young women watching at home who look up to these girls.

New TNA Knockout, Lacey Von Erich has spoken for the first time since signing her contract with TNA in mid-September. Following her television debut last night, the Miami Herald posted an interview with the third generation star as she touches upon joining The Beautiful People and replacing Angelina Love. Let’s just say Von Erich has some choice words when it comes to the former Knockouts Champion:

“I feel like it was made for me, and she [Angelina] wasn’t a good fit for it in my opinion,” Adkisson said. “. . . I thought that everybody was going to be, `Oh no. Angelina is gone,’ but not one person said that. Nobody really missed her that much. I feel like I can fill the shoes that I’m supposed to.

“TNA told me this role was made for me, and I feel the same way. So when I met the other members, Velvet and Madison, they are awesome. When I got there, we all just felt like we were one group, and the band was completed.

“I’ve never met Angelina before in my life. After what some people have said, I don’t know if I want to. I just feel like we can all be a group together and shine together, so I’m excited about that.”

Hold up… what?! Did She really just put Angelina on blast like that? I’m a little shocked… And as has been discussed in the ‘Impact Feedback’, no I don’t think her comments were in-character because the rest of the interview isn’t and the Miami Herald interviews in the past [including Velvet Sky's which we posted about yesterday] never give off the impression of being in-character.

Von Erich also touches upon the differences between the Knockouts division and working for WWE:

“TNA is completely different than WWE,” Adkisson said. “The atmosphere and the people are different. I think it’s really competitive in WWE where there is one blonde and then another blonde. There is just so much cattiness, and rumors fly. Candice Michelle told me that. She just got out.

“A couple of the girls who got out of WWE were telling me that. So I was going into TNA thinking there was going to be so much drama, and it was going to be terrible.

“I get there, and they are the most incredible girls ever. We go have beers after the shows. ODB is awesome. I already knew Awesome Kong who is amazing. I also feel you get to shine. They want you to wrestle good there. It’s not that WWE doesn’t want you to wrestle well, but you don’t feel like you can wrestle to your potential. In TNA, they want you to do your maximum potential.”

Lacey also offers her opinion on WWE’s treatment of it’s women:

“I didn’t know where girls stood in the business,” Adkisson said. “We kind of are on the back burner, and we pretty much always will be. It’s just a man’s world. I went in there with the mentality that I could be just as good as the rest of the Von Erichs, if they gave me a chance.

“So I’m starting to do my backflips off the ropes, and I’m jumping all over the place, and everything felt natural. WWE was saying, `Wait, you are just a girl. You can’t do all that stuff.’ However, it was really fun once I kind of understood the business today.

“They don’t want the women to be super talented. The girl cute wrestlers they want to stay girl cute wrestlers. Not something like a Von Erich who wants to go out and destroy everything, which is what I really wanted to do. But that’s not why I left or anything.’

Very interesting observations. It seems as though she shares the opinions of many women before her, there is a lot of paranoia in the Divas lockerroom & they never truly know where they stand with management. On the flipside, everyone — including most recently Traci Brooks — has put over how close-knit the Knockouts lockerroom is.

But seriously… those Angelina comments? Really?! It seems Lacey is a little naive as to how the ‘big leagues’ work, I think. Those comments are so off-the-cuff.

Meow! The Knockouts can get get pretty catty when they want to, huh?  To be honest, I can’t say I blame them. While Divas like Eve Torres and Michelle McCool have raised the bar for Diva Search girls, the competition itself was a slap to the face to girls who busted their asses on the indies.

The biggest shocker however, are the comments made by Ms. Velvet Sky.  News flash, Vel-Vel: You were in the Diva Search [proof]! I can understand Daffney’s frustration, being a veteran and all, but Velvet made herself look like a hypocrite. Maybe she should be a little more careful before she starts throwing stones in that glass house of her’s. I think the question on everyone’s mind after watching this is: How does Christy Hemme feel about this?

A source at the scene of the SmackDown house show where Michelle McCool was injured, e-mailed into Diva Dirt with more details of the incident that saw McCool tweak her left knee.

We’re told McCool’s opponent on the night, Eve Torres is at fault after a botched roll-up on the Women’s Champion. “Eve didn’t look good, she stumbled through the match and then screwed up the roll-up. You could tell instantly from Michelle’s face something had gone wrong.”

A second source confirms to Diva Dirt that Torres’  ‘akward’ roll-up was the cause, adding: “She [Michelle] rolled out of the ring immediately and looked to be in a lot of pain.”

Our second source says it best: “They shouldn’t let girls in the ring if they can’t do basic moves. So she can do a moonsault – big deal.”

Michelle is set to return to SmackDown next week.

ReelWrestling.com is notorious for getting the candid scoop on WWE Superstars.  Seeing as most of their footage features superstars entering or leaving an event, many a time the reaction from the wrestlers is less than cordial.  However, it is extremely interesting to see just how they interact with the paparazzi outside of the ring.  Reel Wrestling has filmed Divas by the likes of Lilian Garcia, Katie Lea, The Bella Twins, Maryse and Jillian in the past with typical (albeit sometimes fleeting) success, but it is their recent candid video of Roucka aka Rosa Mendes that has especially piqued my interest.

Dean Malenko cast a grey shadow over an otherwise sunny day in Buffalo by getting in our face and demanding we shut off the video camera.  After our camera man tried to enlighten Rosa that her swarming fans were none too adoring (her real fans are the ones who buy her photos on eBay from those same airport fanatics who surround her at the baggage checks), “tough guy” Dean tried to play the role of enforcer but what he asked us to do on public property was clearly a violation of our rights.  And thanks to him, he altered Rosa’s mood so much that she shoved her cell phone in our face as she exited as if WE were the enemy!  Rosa, we just want to promote your attractive face and sunny disposition, along with any message you want to get out to your fan base (by the way, if anyone wants to translate her message, please leave a comment below).  And, please tell Dean to relax and back off the next time.  We’re not the enemy and it seems that the gorgeous and cheerful Kelly Kelly was the only one in your group who “got it” that day.

To be honest, I was almost taken aback by Rosa’s reaction.  She initially comes off as somewhat kind and welcoming at the start, briefly addressing her Spanish-speaking fans, but her demeanor soon changes at the expense of the cameraman.  Now, I’ve noticed that the paps behind the camera tend to be very aggressive and intrusive, and I cannot blame the Superstars for being rather annoyed.  The last thing you’d probably want to experience after an exhausting plane ride is a hyper individual shoving a camera in your face.  However, as a follower of Reel Wrestling for quite some, I can say that I’ve witnessed most Divas excuse themselves far more politely and in a less “elitist-type fashion” than Rosa exhibits, here.  Meanwhile, Kelly Kelly (who has been featured in quite a few Reel Wrestling videos) just laughs it off like a champ.  To be fair, Rosa could have just been having an off day.  To some extent, having Jillian return puts Rosa back on the bench.  Now, that would put any jobber’s panties in a bunch! Let’s just hope Rosa learns not to take the term ‘Diva’ so literally, next time.

Eventually I wanted to blog about my wrestling debut match Sunday.

This past Sunday on Victory Road I had my debut match against Sharmell LIVE! I want to thank everyone who has sent me love and props for the match.  I also know some wrestling lovers were not as excited as I was.  I want to clear up a few things.  First, you cannot judge my match against Sharmell like you would a pro such as Kong, Tara, etc.  The reason why- I am NOT a wrestler! The match was not to debut my wrestling skills it was purely for entertainment, which I think it was.  Considering I have never wrestled in my life and only had a few days to practice everything I am really proud of myself.  So you cannot judge and analyze as you would another wrestler.  Its apples and oranges in my mind.  Second, for it being my first match EVER and first time ever doing wrestling moves I am freaking proud of myself, I had fun, thought it looked good, and no one got hurt.  Last I heard some people crying about wrestling should be reserved for “legit” wrestlers and “legit” matches.  I have to say to that- PILLOW FIGHT MATCH.  I have seen matches where literally all the girls were doing was hitting each other with pillows in lingerie.  At least I was doing a cross body, splash, etc.  Along with some fun campy stuff like my pin and entrance (which I loved).

But I was always told any press is good press and I gues the fact that people are still talking about it, and my entrance is a good thing!

Needless to say I had fun, thought the match looked good, and I am proud of Sharmell and I…

I think it’s fair to assume that absolutely no one went into viewing this match with very high expectations.  That being said, it is obvious that Jenna thinks very highly of her work.  She must.  How could anyone confidently saunter around on national television in leopard print and fishnets, otherwise?  Jenna’s pleas not to be “unfairly judged” reads rather transparent, at least to me.  Especially, when she contradicts herself by disputing criticism against her match and deeming “any press is good press” in the very same breath.  You simply cannot walk into a wrestling ring (or crawl, in Jenna’s case), put on a match, and expect not to be reviewed or criticized in some aspect.  That age-old mantra of “if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen” comes to mind.

In all fairness, at least Jenna did attempt to pull off some manuevers, albeit horrifically.  However, her comparison to Divas matches of yesteryear also comes across as a feeble attempt to justify her lackluster in-ring debut.  As if that is an acceptable defense.  I’m just wondering just who exactly advised Jenna to use these alleged “pillow fight matches” as an archetype for her Victory Road match.  (Hey, I guess my Maria comparison wasn’t so far-fetched after all…?)  We all know TNA prides itself on being the “real wrestling” alternative to WWE.  So if it’s entertainment she’s after, perhaps she is in the wrong company?  Either that, or TNA has completely lost its marbles.

We appreciate the effort, Jenna, but for the sake of wrestling fans and sympathizers alike, let’s leave the wrestling to the “legit” wrestlers, shall we?  The scars resulting from Victory Road simply cannot be healed.  It may even take a series of Sarita and Alissa Flash matches, not to mention a bottle of bleach, to fully purify my memory.  So, here’s to Jenna Morasca’s first and hopefully last ring appearance.  Hip hip hooray!  As the song says, “she will survive.”

If you ask any Diva fan, they’ll tell you that the WrestleMania XXV’s “Miss WrestleMania” match was a gigantic disappointment. However, that disappointment is not limited to us lowly spectators – the overwhelming stench of fail has managed to permeate to its participants. Torrie Wilson, one of the match’s “special attractions”, feels much like we do. In a recent interview, Torrie vented her disappointment with the battle royal, as well as the WWE’s lack of support during her run on NBC’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!:

What are your thoughts on the divas battle royal that you participated in at WrestleMania XXV? It seemed like a bit of a cluster.
I’m very mad at myself and embarrassed that I agreed to be a part of something like that. A lot of people in the audience didn’t even know that I was in that match because they didn’t even announce it. For me, that whole experience at WrestleMania was kind of like closure. I feel like maybe I’m not appreciated like I would have hoped. They just wanted all these girls there. Now I can understand why Trish [Stratus] decided not to do it; she was smart. Going into it I trusted them that they would use me in the right way and I should have known better. All in all, I learned a valuable lesson.

When you say it was closure, do you think that’s it for you as far as doing anything in wrestling?
I do. I just didn’t appreciate that experience and I felt very unappreciated after all of the years that I put in for them. You combine that with the fact that I asked them to do a little thing on wwe.com to “vote for Torrie” and they just ignored me. So, my feelings are hurt.

I think, with these remarks, it’s safe to say that Torrie and the WWE aren’t exactly the best of pals anymore. She says her feelings are hurt, but what was she expecting? The WWE isn’t exactly known for helping its ex-employees on the road to lucrative post-wrestling careers. Maybe they thought she wasn’t repping them enough on the show? As the saying goes, “you scratch our back, we’ll scratch yours.”

Either way, those of you hoping for a WWE return (even a Trish Stratus-esque “one-off” appearance) may have to put that dream on hold. Though, I’m a Celebrity… may have broadened her horizons and given her opportunities outside of the WWE. Hey, she can join BFF Candice and do some charity work! Surely, dealing with Janice Dickinson must have given her some experience in working with children.

Seriously, someone needs to lay off whatever prescription pills she’s popping and sit the fuck down. Yes, Sunny, I’m looking at you girl. This isn’t exactly news – well recent news anyway – but run with me on this one. I just uncovered a couple of interviews that Sunny recorded earlier this year, I’m not sure if they’re pre or post-WrestleMania. And let’s just say homegirl is sipping from the same cup as Paula Abdul. Long story short, bitch is crazy!

In such interviews, you shall hear such hilarities as:

After insulting fellow former Diva, Sable by saying she looks 60 years old, Sunny says: “I’m 36 and I get told I look 28 everyday.”

On the emergence of Divas: “I consider myself the first total package as far as females go in the wrestling business.” In the process, she can’t help but make a pitstop and spit on Miss Elizabeth and Sherri Martel’s graves, insulting the both. Sunny continues that apparently Vince  realised that women could be successful and marketable too, from using her. Okay there, sport… To hear that clip, click here.

It don’t stop there boys and girls! The “Sunny: Self Wank” tour continues in a second interview clip which can be heard by clicking here. And here’s where we think that Sunny, real name Tammy Lynn Sytch, overdosed on her meds. When regaling us with a delightful story of an independent show she worked, Sunny refers to a girl who was founded in one of WWE’s talent searches (i.e. Tough Enough, Diva Search) that *Gasp* dared ‘disrespect’ the almighty pioneer and founding mother of all things Diva. Sunny explains:

- She walked into the lockerroom and started getting ready like she owned the place. Like she was this queen diva. And the first thing she should’ve done was was come to me and introduce herself to me and basically thank me for, you know, the possibility of her having a job because I opened the doors for all these women.

- She definitely did not have the respect that she should have, especially like I said I did open the doors for all these girls. These girls would not have jobs if Vince didn’t learn how to use a girl correctly and that’s what he did, he used me as the mould. He learned how to use a girl and market a girl correctly, through me and these girls wouldn’t have jobs if it wasn’t for me.

*Blink* Has her head exploded yet? ‘Fraid not. So basically we’ve learned that all the great females we’ve seen pass through our lives in the past 15 years or so are all because of Sunny. But of course! I’ve always thought Sunny was a tad *cough* outspoken but this is beyond outspoken, she must have neck and shoulder pain from carrying around that big ole head.

It seems to me that homegirl seems to have some grandiose, distorted memory of the past because she wasn’t all that and a bag o’ peanuts, as she seems to think. Not even by a long shot. Divas like Trish, Lita, Victoria, Mickie, Gail and so many more wouldn’t have jobs if it wasn’t for her?

All those years of interviewers kissing her ass calling her ‘the original Diva’ seem to have gone to her head as Sunny thinks she can rewrite history, saying she took great photoshoots, knew how to work a microphone and even get in the ring. Hold the fuck up…. “I could get in the ring if I had to?” Really? Girl, you never competed in a match in your entire WWE career until three weeks ago, WrestleMania 25 was Sunny’s first official wrestling match in WWE. Honestly, she’s worked up such an inflated ego and such a deluded legacy of her time in the industry, it’s pitiful but laughable at the same time.

Say what you will about Sable – and trust me Sunny has – but she is the true pioneer of the Divas. Sure she, too, got in on the prima donna act but at least she accomplished things. I credit Sable 100% for the Divas roster we see today, I wouldn’t even spit shine on Sunny’s shoes. It seems everything Sable accomplished, Sunny seems to take credit for herself; Sable was truly the first Diva to cash in on being as marketable as her male counterparts. Sable was a bonafide draw for the company and eventually learned the in-ring aspect of it too and of course, became a Women’s Champion. She wasn’t the best wrestler granted, but she paved the way a hell of a lot more than Sytch ever did.

KMT ’bout “They should be thanking me.” Girl, you should be the one thanking. Thanking the industry, thanking WWE and thanking Sable for giving you the ‘high school stories’ you keep spouting to anyone who’ll listen to this effin’ day. I wash my hands of this haggard, nasty piece of work. Sunny, you and Diva Dirt are done professionally! (Unless you do something of note)

And you thought the WWE-produced films got trashed! Gail Kim‘s new movie Royal Kill has been released in limited locations around the United States, and while reviews are few and far between (we could only find one), it doesn’t paint a pretty picture. Take the Washington Post’s word for it:

“Royal Kill” is not a train wreck. There’s no grotesque thrill to its utter failure. It is, instead, some kind of cosmic hiccup. It should not exist. Yet here it is, playing in a real multiplex on a real screen with real actors, as if beamed in from some alternate bizarro dimension where down is up and wrong is right and 2 + 2 = 5.

Ouch. Well, maybe at least the fight scenes are decent?

After the warrior gets to D.C., the rest of the movie is poorly choreographed gunfights and swordfights. The special effects look like they were created in Microsoft Paint. The movie is larded with artless dream and flashback sequences and purposeless flourishes (heartbeats, echoing voices, shoddily rendered slow-mo bullets). To top it off, the “twist” ending (pilfered from “Fight Club”) is so ridiculous it will make your head explode.

Damn. Anyone who knows my film taste knows I love me some Fight Club (it’s my favorite movie), so hearing Royal Kill blatantly ripped it off kind of gets under my skin. But hell, I can’t blame them – it was an awesome movie. ;)

I can’t say I was ever itching to check out Gail’s movie – kung fu movies aren’t really my bag – but this scathing review practically makes any interest evaporate. There is a certain perverse pleasure in seeing a so-bad-it’s-good movie, but it sounds like the movie doesn’t even reach that level. Though I must say, it’s dangerous to take the word of one critic – it would be best to wait until there’s more reviews to make a concrete decision. If you’re still interested in seeing it, head on over to the movie’s official site to watch the trailer and see if a city near you will be screening Royal Kill. If you missed ECW tonight, you sure missed out on a lot of Diva developments! Aside from the breaking announcement that next week’s ECW will be an all-diva special to promote the Battle Royal at WrestleMania, the show finished off with an edition of Miz & Morrison’s Dirt Sheet which saw the apparent splitting up of Nikki and Brie Bella! Since the Bella Twins were now joining Miz & Morrison following last week’s SmackDown, they too were in the ring for the Dirt Sheet, where their former flings, Carlito & Primo, were mocked.

Having had enough, Carlito & Primo came out to stop the mockery and proceeded to challenge Miz & Morrison to a match at WrestleMania 25 where both sets of Tag Titles would be on the line and the winning team would hold the unified Tag Team Championship. Carlito & Primo then went to spit apples in the face of Miz & Morrison, but they ducked and the spit ended up hitting Brie Bella! Nikki Bella, however, laughed hysterically at what happened to her sister, and the irate Brie turned around and speared Nikki, causing a catfight to ensue! The Colons and Miz & Morrison were able to seperate the two, but a reconciliation did not happen; Nikki Bella left the ring with Miz & Morrison while Brie Bella stayed with Carlito & Primo!

It seems the “dynamic-duo” twin gimmick has run its course and creative has finally decided to split the two up and turn Nikki heel while keeping Brie a face. I’m sure loving this new jolt of life put into their characters as it was much needed and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds! A 3-on-3 tag match next week perhaps? At least they can finally stop dressing identically and, who knows, if Nikki stays with Miz & Morrison, she just may be ECW’s newest Diva!

Looks like there won’t be any alliances between these two at the Divas Battle Royal and I’m predicting Brie will get her revenge by eliminating Nikki from the match!

Harsh economic times = every Sue, Sally and Mary trying to cling onto their infamy for just fifteen minutes longer. But if Randy the Ram has taught us anything, it’s usually best to disappear with some shred of dignity intact. Well, back for another run in the biz (probably because she’s destined for a run in the poor house), former Women’s Champion Debra is desperately seeking work.

So much so that she is actually trying to get you guys to do her dirty work! Debra – or rather her agent – is asking fans to flood TNA’s e-mail in hopes of getting the ex-Mrs Stone Cold a job!

Debra sweetie, I think you’ve squeezed your last 0.15 seconds.

Admist all the spiritual mumbo-jumbo, Candice calls out the ‘haters’ who spread such rumours about her — but girl, you said it yourself. I don’t get it. Either Candice is partying with Amy Winehouse in La-La Land and can’t keep track of what she did last week or she needs to hire Chris Brown’s publicist for some damage control.

And as for the injuries, for someone so ‘spiritual’, I’m surprised Candice has yet to visit a faith healer. “Oh Lawd, it’s a miracle!”

Cast your minds back to when Candice was champion. I can’t. I have successfully erased that memory clear from my mind. It is nada, zip, gone, kaput. All I know is that somehow… it happened. She won the title. I’m not saying she can’t can’t wrestle, she’s improved and good on her, but Candice as champion means inevitable dramatic increase backstage and ring segments where she has to open her mouth and… speak. Mhmm, that’s right, we would have to sit through her slur of words and stifled giggles.

So, here’s a little (I hope) wishful thinking from Candice, she’ll be back on top. During the No Way Out live blog she said;

I have to say, as a young man of color(half black and half puerto rican, in case you were wondering) I was kinda offended at this. The use of a racial epithet is unacceptable, regardless of how humorously it’s delivered. I don’t blame SoJo. She’s probably just saying what she’s been told to. Shame on TNA though. They’ve been pushing the race thing for weeks in regards to the Kongtourage(SoJo in particular), but this was the week they crossed the line(no pun intended). If you happened to see TNA Spin Cycle featuring SoJo, note how she keeps harping on about how she needs a strong, black man. It just comes off as kinda rascist or maybe it’s just me. 
 
Anyways, what do you guys think? Is TNA pushing the envelope too far? Am I just overreacting? Discuss!

It’s not often that you see a Diva acknowledge the fact that she isn’t getting pushed. In her most recent WWE Universe Blog, Katie Lea pretty much cops to the fact that she isn’t doing much at the moment other than running away from the WWE’s varied breed of freaks:

I will admit that things have gone a little downhill for me in ECW since my grande victoire, i.e. it would seem that my latest assignments have been limited to my beautiful self getting chased by various mythical creatures. First Boogeyman then, shock of shocks, the green grotesque a.k.a. Hornswoggle… I wonder what they will think of next. Maybe a Pixie..? (I love Pixies! Both cat-like and Matt-like…) Or perhaps Goldust? (Now that might actually be fun!)

Personally, I think it’s a shame that Katie hasn’t seen much action other than the requisite tag team fill-in position since her early feud with Mickie James. She’s talented and (if her numerous entertaining blogs are any indication), she’s got more personality than most of the other Divas. Honestly, her blogs are quite the read, and her exchanges with other Divas on the various WWE.com Live Blogs are hilarious (her and Natalya going at it during the Royal Rumble was simply priceless, and she’s even gotten into it with Tiffany). What do you think, dear readers? Is Katie getting the short end of the stick, or the less you see of the British babe the better?

Oh…..and by the way, about your new outfit – Candice Michelle called. She wants her robes back! Judging by your “style,” your her #1 fan – now that my friend is something to be proud of! (insert sarcasm here)!

Now that’s what I call a zinger… with extra added zing!

As many of you know a few months back, WWE banned Michelle McCool from using the Wings of Love. While it was one of the most devastating finishers we’ve seen from a Diva since The Widow Peak, WWE deemed it ‘too hard on’ (or too similar to The Pedigree) for the Divas. That being said, I think there are a few more finishing moves in the realm of women’s wrestling that need to be banned for various reasons.

FFG (Flying Firecrotch Guillotine): Christy Hemme
The name says it all. This has to be one of the most laughable excuses for a finisher I’ve seen in a while. I truly thought that the name was a joke. Nope, that’s really what it’s called. If you’re not familiar with this move, it involves lifting your leg over your head, while on the turnbuckle and dropping into a full split on someone’s neck/face.

Not only does this finisher seem painful to execute, but it has to hurt the opponent’s pride to know that they’ve been beaten by such a ridiculous move.

And last but not least, why would you put the word ‘Firecrotch’ in the name of your signature move. Its just not very flattering. If your crotch is on fire, you should see a doctor and you DEFINATELY shouldn’t have it near anyone’s face.

Faith Breaker: Michelle McCool
I know that all wrestlers get their moveset from somewhere and a lot of wrestlers share moves. However, maybe it wasn’t a good idea for Michelle to pick a finisher from a prominant TNA wrestler and make it her own. It wouldn’t be so bad if AJ Styles wasn’t the ONLY wrestler to use that move. WWE better ban that too before AJ hires a lawyer.

Various Rollups: Every Diva EVER!
If I have to see another damn rollup to finish a match, I’m going to scream. Once in a while is okay, but it seems like every other Divas’ match these days end with some variation of a Sunset Flip or Schoolboy pin. Honestly ladies, go for high risk or maybe a submission, but leave the rollups alone.

Maria has a newly opened official website, it seems. You’ll find, on the site, a bunch of photos non-affiliated with WWE, videos and links  that seem to not work. Interestingly, the page has written at the bottom, ‘Actress Model Singer Wrestler’ in that order. I assume that the list is just in alphabetical order, but maybe having wrestling last is a sign that she might be trying to angle for a new career in maybe, singing?

A quick check on YouTube reveals a video of Maria singing karaoke to ‘I Love Rock ‘n Roll’ originally made famous by Joan Jett. Her singing is rather painful to listen to and sounds a lot like her just talking, only it’s more monotonous. I’d have to say, her singing is worse than her wrestling and with her voice, I would definitely not call myself a ‘singer’. Props to her for trying though, right?

The site features some videos of Maria posing in photo shoots with some serious porn star music in the background. Her photo gallery is of about the same quality of her WWE one. She seems less over the top, and her outfits are decent, if not a little skanky. The website for now, is unavaliable, but says ‘Full website coming soon’. You can find it at MariaKanellis.net.

How someone can screw up something so simple is beyond my comprehension. Maria has never been the best wrestler, wrestling just isn’t something that came naturally to her like it did to others in her boat (Michelle McCool, Maryse). And as hard as she tried, she could never match those who like her, struggled at first to grasp the sport (Candice, Kelly Kelly). But unlike those four examples, Maria continues to look uncomfortable in the ring and it isn’t a pretty sight. I have often described her wrestling style as ‘spastic’, from the way she hits clothelines, the way she jumps from the turbuckle. Any time I think about Maria wrestling, I just picture her with her arms flailing everywhere.

Nothing looks as pristine as it should. But last night’s ‘attack’ on Michelle McCool really took the biscuit, she’s had some passable matches for sure, but on SmackDown this week she just proved, plainly and simply, that she’s not destined to be a wrestler. Her failed attempt at forearms or whatever they were meant to be, just came off looking limp and yes… spastic. And yes, thinking about it now, I picture her with her arms flailing everywhere. There was nothing believable about it, there was nothing vicious about it, which is what it was intended to be. It just looked awful on screen and if I were producing this show, I would have edited it out before it could hit TV. Obviously, WWE is willing to overlook this which is fine considering they have storylines to put over on a weekly basis.

But to the world, what it shows is that Maria has no basic grasp of wrestling, because she can’t even do the most basic things properly and believably for the viewing audience. Perhaps that is why in four years, she’s never been giving any real wrestling opportunities. Perhaps that is why in four years, she’s never been considered a real title contender. Now that she’s on SmackDown and being given the chance to wrestle and compete for a title, her flaws are becoming more and more transparent.

It’s a juicy case of “He Said, She Said!” In separate interviews, the two recently had the following to say… and with their relationship history… it doesn’t take a neurosurgeon to figure out that they’re speaking through experience – and about each other!

When asked what she looks for in a partner, Maria says: “Looking for someone who’s going to treat me like a lady and not like one of the boys.”

In a separate recent interview when discussing Playboy Playmates, Punk said, “Playboy playmates are so overrated. I also like women with brains.”

Hey guys! I’ve been thinking long & hard about exactly what to say in this blog. As promised, I am going to continue to give you the Michelle McCool “Outside the ropes” & the Michelle McCool “Inside the Ropes sections. The problem is I have so much to say and only so much space to say it! Soooo….forgive me if it’s hard to follow today, I’ve got a lot on my mind.

Michelle McCool “Outside the ropes!”:

Friday night was a bittersweet night for me (and many of you as well)! As you are probably aware, Victoria decided to retire. After 9 years, several runs as the WWE Women’s Champion, and countless hearts that she has touched, Victoria left a legacy behind….one of hope, one of courage, one of heart and one of character!

Though we’ve had our differences on tv, she is someone very special to me. It’s funny how life goes full circle. From watching her on tv as Godfather’s “Head Ho”, to kicking her butt in diva dodgeball :) to becoming her opponent, her ally, and most importantly – her friend, I absolutely love that girl to death! She is brave, happy, hilarious, courageous, the list goes on….I can’t even do justice what she means to me. The great thing about her is that I guarantee every person she’s met, she has made a positive impact on in some form or fashion!

For me, she’s been someone to laugh with, someone to cry with, someone to drive with, someone to look up to professionally, someone to look up to personally, someone to be stupid with :), someone to share with, someone to trust, but most importantly – a sister I never had! Sis…you know I love you! I know a lot of you may or may not agree with me for posting all this, but in this case I don’t care (sorry) :) Victoria has been one heck of a competitor whose impact will leave an impression forever! The least I can say is thank you! Like I told you (if you are reading this Victoria) last night, I am honored to have had your last match with you and can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for not only this company, but me! (insert teary eyes here)

Michelle McCool “Inside the ropes!”

As Victoria leaves, the show must go on. One down, several more to go. I can’t help but to think that my beating her had to do with her retiring, but I guess that doesn’t matter anymore now does it? The only problem now is that there aren’t any ‘true’ competitors left.

Sure, Maryse is the Divas Champion, but I find it no coincidence that she supposedly got “hurt” the week after she stole my title. It’s funny how I didn’t notice her limping around last week when I saw her. Speaking of Maryse….

I have a bone to pick with JR. During my match with Victoria, he had the audacity to say that she (Maryse) and I look and act a bit alike. Other than the blonde hair, there are ZERO similarities and I mean ZERO!!!! I was going to confront him next week because of how irate I was until I read his latest blog here on wwe universe. In his blog, he said one of the smartest things (and what should be obvious to most) he has ever said. And I quote….

“It’s just Michelle McCool’s world and the rest of us are living in it!”

He is absolutely right! So JR….I wholeheartedly forgive you for the comparisons you made between Frenchie and me! And on that note….it’s time to go to work. Let the McCruel Era continue….

So, back to what counts: the news. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, ya’ll. A certain country bumpkin’ decided to sound off via her WWE: Fan Nation account.

Of course, I’m referring to Michelle McCool.

Now, I know there are a whole lot of us that bitch, piss and moan about the Divas and Knockouts who blog about the same exact thing. I mean, seriously? They usually sound like poor little Meredith Grey from ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy. “Pick me. Choose me. Love me.”

Now, you know as well as I do, we’re partial to our favorites. And let’s face it, it’s no secret: Michelle is to me, as Melina and Torrie are to the other troublesome duo. But ‘McCruel’ (as I like to refer to her these days, lovin’ the heel turn, thank you very much), does bring up a whole bunch of valid points.

Let me break two ‘Hot Topics’ down for you, mmkay? Just because we know a good majority of you will slam her with a quick-wit reply, just to find purpose in your lives – but I still love a good portion of you anyway:

- McCool talks about ‘fans’ complaining about her move set and finishers; she’s unoriginal and a ‘thief.’ To which she responds: “Just think about the following moves, who “created” them and who has used them and who might use them now. Then, take a sec and determine who you choose to get mad at for using them and who you choose to love for using them? (Oh the decisions you have to make…. – insert sarcasm here)”

- McCool also goes into a tangent about having been dubbed “A Diva Search Reject” and now “McCool Is Uncool”: “If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it ten more. Yes, yes, yes – I am a diva search reject. I’m a diva search reject who has TRUE passion for this business and, on a whim, (somewhat of a dare) decided to chase her dream.”

Attached are the two blogs in which Michelle made last night. Call her delirious or unworthy of her position on the roster, it’s quite evident the women doesn’t give a flyin’ duck anymore.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season…I know I did! I wanted to start with one of my newest “all-time favorite” pictures. The picture taken with the legendary Mae Young was taken just a few weeks ago. Not only was I blessed to have her on my side that night, but was able to spend some extra time with her in the airport and on the flight out to tv. Mae has not lost one ounce of her fire and passion for this business and boy is that refreshing?!! It gives me chills just thinking about it. I’m going to start my blog now, but will get back to Mae in a bit…..

Let me start by saying that YES, I do read all the comments (good, bad & ugly) that you guys send. Just the way all of you have/voice your opinions (which I do respect), I’ve decided to do the same. I may offend some, make some laugh, make some smile, make some cry, but….this blog is all about you guys. You ask, you demand, you demean and I am going to respond. So, from here on out in this blog, I’m going to continue as “Michelle McCool outside the ropes” & “Michelle McCool inside the ropes!” I think you can determine the difference!

Thanks, as always, for all of the kind comments that you guys have sent. Losing my championship has been bitter sweet for me and your encouraging words keep me going. I haven’t changed (for those of you who have been so concerned) and will never compromise my morals, beliefs and/or values. My motto remains the same: faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within! Losing the title just means that I have to fight that much harder and keep my eye on the prize. As the new year begins, remember to dream big! Don’t let anyone discourage you to not follow your heart. Go after your goals….follow your dreams and LIVE your passion!

McCool inside the ropes (warning – attitude changes here :) )….

I’ve gotten lots of questions/comments/concerns and most of them seem to revolve around the same few things, so I’ll try to take care of them all. One of my favorite era’s of wrestling was the ‘Attitude Era!’ This new year has brought out a new attitude for me, and for those of you that don’t like it, I’m sorry.

Maria: Yes, I beat the heck out of her and, in my mind, deservingly so. I don’t get why everyone likes her so much. She tries to play the innocent card and is constantly getting distracted and screwing things up. That’s exactly what she did to cost me the title. Did you see her taking that long to count for Maryse? No, didn’t think so. It was that one split second when I had enough, that Maryse capitalized and caught me with a mean kick to the head. I give Maryse credit…I’d of done the exact same thing and taken advantage of the opportunity. Had Maria been counting like any normal ref, I would still be Divas Champion and she might not be hurting so bad! Next topic of concern….

Moveset: For those of you who love to hate me (which I now embrace, so thank you), I’m sorry if this is going to sound blunt. I truly find if humorous how many of you are so mad about my new finish, using the chick kick, etc… You must not be true wrestling fans or else you would be complaining in cyber space about every single move out there. At some point in time, someone used and/or created everything you currently see. Let me just mention a few moves that have been “stolen” by current divas that you guys conveniently seem to forget.

Mae Young: elbow drop, first lady to drop kick, bronco buster

Gory Guerrero: camel clutch

Too many superstars past and present to name: DDT

Brisco Brothers: Sunset flip out of corner

Molly Holly: springboard elbow

Torrie Wilson: face buster

The list goes on and on and on….So, for those of you who are apparently so knowledgable about my move set and want to whine and complain about who may have used them in the past, why don’t you do just a little bit of research. You might find that there are many divas, and other superstars for that matter, who are using/utilizing moves that you may have seen before. Before you know it, I’m sure you’ll be complaining about using a headlock. But hey, whatever makes you happy……

Wow, didn’t realize that would be so long. For those of you who have made it this far in the blog, I’m going to save the rest for a later date. I’m going to finish with “Michelle McCool outside the ropes!” (I kind of like being able to give you both sides….kind of like the best of both worlds – you can pick and choose which parts, if not all, of the blog you want to read! :)

Just joking…as the title reads, I’m not addicted. I just can’t fall asleep now and thought what’s better than one blog a day – TWO! Sooooo…..after a few seconds of thinking about it, I decided to continue part 2 of my last blog.

Once again, let’s start with “Michelle McCool outside the ropes!” – as seen above – (have you figured out the difference yet…a small town all-american girl does still exist! I like to read a devotional and/or inspirational quotes before I fall asleep. Here are some to think about.

I forgot that a lot of you were asking what happened to the heel hook…absolutely nothing! It’s still up my sleeve; just haven’t pulled it out lately! Speaking of my heel hook and new finishing move, I’d like your help. I’ve got a few names I’ve been thinking about….Let me know if you have any suggestions for either!!

Back to the move set: Just a few more moves to add fuel to the fire. It’s always fun and exciting to come up with a move that you can say is “original” that you created. That’s obviously tougher than it sounds….especially when you aren’t allowed to do some because they might be too devastating. That’s a whole other issue.

Back to the point…just think about the following moves, who “created” them and who has used them and who might use them now. Then, take a sec and determine who you choose to get mad at for using them and who you choose to love for using them? (Oh the decisions you have to make…. – insert sarcasm here)

We here at Diva Dirt are often maligned for “bashing” or being prejudiced against certain Divas. Now, while we always combat those claims, it appears as though Maria‘s getting tired of the criticism too. Of course it’s not our criticism that’s bringing her down (Diva Dirt’s reach isn’t that far *yet*), but apparently the Smackdown Diva has been heard enough complaints about her improvements in the ring (or lack thereof), taking to her WWE Universe blog to stick up for herself:

What’s up all you stars and studs!!!! I am not a person to respond to anger and cruelty but lately I have had such a hard time even getting on this site. Mind you I do not claim to be the greatest wrestler or the quickest learner. I work hard, I get in the ring, I try and still can’t win all the time or even some of the time. Wrestling is hard. I love it and that is what keeps me going. I love what I do. Now, I do want to say spank you to everyone that supports me and everyone that understands what it is like to always be the underdog. You are my passion!!! Passion is my motivation!! if you want to be negative that is okay. I just can’t read your comments cause negativity breeds negativity. I refuse to get down on myself. I could lose a million times and mess up a thousand things and as long as I love being out there I continue to march on. That is what all people try to do. Continue on! Personally, I feel that the “working hard” sentiment was forfeited years ago. It’s one thing for a girl that’s new to the ring to be awkward and take a bit to advance her skills, but Maria’s been in the WWE and training since 2005 (all she did in 2004 was hold a microphone) – that’s over 3 years. Melanie and I have discussed this numerous times: either a girl has the skills or she doesn’t. Some, no matter how hard they try, simply don’t have the ring presence. Maryse is an example of someone who picked up ring presence practically over night, allowing her to become a convincing wrestler light years ahead of schedule, if Maria’s progress were to be a measuring stick. I believe Maria will always be awkward in the ring, unless she finds a way to stop running on her tip toes and deliver a convincing punch. She desperately needs that “It” factor and she’s been looking for it for 3 years now – all signs seem to indicate that that ship has sailed.

Pass the Rolaids and just let me roll right in here… Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Are you stuffed on stuffing? Can you hardly move as your stomach recovers from finding such naughty euphoria from the dinner table? Or do you just not give a flying duck (or turkey) about today since it has no relevance to you or your country’s history? No matter! I have a treat for you in the equivalent of Fruit Cake & an Ashley Massaro wrestling match (believe me, you won’t be asking for second helpings) – Maria !!!

A photo has been brought to my attention, and I just couldn’t resist myself! Oh. My. God. What was she thinking? Maria pulled a Julia Roberts and unleashed her sandpaper pits for the world to see. This photograph had been taken at Maria’s Playboy signing, and in the words of Monica Geller-Bing: I know, right?! Why this treasure hadn’t been unleashed sooner is beyond me, but like a missed period, better late than never. I’ve already said it, and I’ll say it again: Maria should forget about chasing after the Divas Championship and perhaps chase something else, like, oh… I don’t know, a razor and some shaving cream!

All of a sudden, I just don’t feel as full anymore. But, I’ve got to admit, Maria’s unshaved pits (to which I’m sure most will beg it’s been photoshopped; click here if you do) is just another thing I’m thankful for this year. Ashley’s release and Maria’s humiliation? Pretty darn good year, if I say so myself.

Could it be a sign of the end of days?! I never ever thought I’d tune into Raw one week and dislike what Layla was wearing… until last night. Layla is easily the most fashionable Diva to ever grace the WWE and we often rave over her personal style. So what possessed her to wear those hideous metalic gold leggings last night?

I guess everyone makes mistakes, but colour me shocked. That said, I love the rest of the outfit especially the belt and bangles.

On a side note, there won’t be a Raw Redux this week because I feel there isn’t much more I can say about Beth vs Mickie that I haven’t already said in the course of the year. So if you’d like my analysis on the match, just dig up some old Reduxes that featured a Beth-Mickie match. Raw was pretty darn boring last night, be sure to watch SmackDown.

Legendary Diva, Tammy Sytch, better known as Sunny revealed that she didn’t think she’d get along with the new generation of Diva – Maria and Melina - when she turned up at Raw’s 15th anniversary show last December. Sunny also reveals that fellow former Diva, Dawn Marie had described to her that the Divas lockerroom was more like the set of Mean Girls, where all the girls hated each other:

I was shocked because here I am, ready to walk into the female locker room after hearing all these horror stories from people like Dawn Marie, who told me how all the girls hated each other, and every single girl in that locker room kissed my butt (laughs). They were awesome. They paid me so much respect, and the girls that I thought I would not like at all, like the girls from the Diva Search like Maria, she was one of the nicest ones there.

I’m not a big fan of the Diva Search thing. I was raised old school in this business. To bring girls in off the street that know nothing about this business and giving them a job when there are so many girls that really respect this business and have learned their craft that can’t get a job, I think that’s the wrong way to go about hiring girls. I was thinking that I definitely was not going to like these girls, but Maria came right over to me; she got me a bottle of water when I was thirsty and couldn’t find anything to drink; she was great. Melina – I didn’t like her character, so I guess she was doing her job really well because I bought into it – she was great. Now we keep in touch all the time. We talk on the phone, we e-mail, we text. She’s awesome. Every girl was just so nice. I was like, “Wait a minute. This is not the locker room that Dawn Marie was warning me about.” It was completely different from what I expected.

Sunny also had an interesting viewpoint on women’s wrestling in the WWE. Warning to Diva fans, it may make you roll your eyes:

First of all, I think if you have more than five girls at one time it’s way too much. It takes all the specialness out of it. When I was [in WWE], there were three of us, and every time you saw one of us it meant something. Now, there’s a girl in practically every single segment on the show. To have a women’s match on every show I think is just too much. I’m not a fan of women’s wrestling. Just leave that part to the guys. When you’ve got 19-20 girls on the roster, it’s redundant and it’s not a special thing. To be honest with you, a lot of girls that came from the Diva Search, I can’t tell one from the next. I don’t know what their names are; all I know is that they came from the Diva Search at some point.

I definitely agree with her opinion on the Diva Search but her old school mentality on women’s wrestling makes my skin crawl. Honestly, Tammy wasn’t much of a wrestler so I think it’s redundant for her to have an opinion on women’s wrestling in the WWE. I won’t get on my soapbox and explain the history that we’ve seen be made since Sunny’s era, such as Trish Stratus, Chyna, Lita, Victoria etc. because you all know that history too. Times have changed since Sunny was famous, I doubt she’d even be able to step into the ring with WWE’s worst Diva. And as for having just three girls? I think I’d go a little stir crazy if I had to watch just three girls every week. I love that WWE has a large Divas roster and if Tammy were to watch the product today, she’d realise that most of the Divas right now are being used in the ring and are showing some penchant for wrestling; for the first time in a long time, we don’t have an entire roster made up of hopeless Diva Search contestants. Tammy is the second old school Diva who has expressed her dislike for women’s wrestling, despite the fact that she is a woman in the wrestling industry. *Eye roll* You can read the rest of the interview by clicking here.

Torrie Wilson may have nothing nice to say about her former husband, Billy Kidman, but one of her best friends does. Candice Michelle has praised Billy Kidman, who is currently a trainer in WWE’s developmental territory, for working with her to get her ring-ready for her return. This blog just comes days after Torrie blasted Kidman in an audio interview, in which she said:

I have absolutely nothing nice to say about that individual. His views on morals are very different from mine.

In Candice’s blog today, she writes:

The day that the doctor released me to train, I let WWE know … and that day, not the next week or month, I had travel in place to train at FCW! I had the privilege of training at Steve Keirn’s school with amazing agents and talent! I owe a huge thanks to Billy Kidman, who came early for me, stayed late, and even came in on his day off because I wanted to get as much training in as I could!

Awkward. I don’t know what I can say lol. Candice also seems aware of the furore she caused on the Internet last week with her comeback match:

That night when I returned may not have been my perfect match, but I did make my presence known! A good friend gave me some advice. She said, “I have to walk before I can run!” As much as I want to sprint right now, I realize time will get me there!

Former WWE Diva and favorite Diva Dirt target Ashley Massaro will be appearing at the Wrestlers Rescue event on September 14th, along with a slew or other wrestlers (Torrie Wilson, Dawn Marie, Mick Foley, Sunny, etc.). The event is helping to raise money to provide health care for professional wrestlers. Though, the most eye-catching part of this is how the event’s website decscribed Ashley:

Ashley is a Playboy Magazine Celebrity Cover Girl, has co-starred on hit TV series such as “Smallville” and “Survivor China,” hosted E! Entertainment’s “Wild On E!”, graced the covers of and been featured in Flex, Femme Fatles, Maxim, FHM, is a former Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA and Canada, and will be starring in a new TV series premiering in early 09, as well as releasing her first album, and much, much more!

Is it Christmas already? I could never envision receiving a more perfect gift! Is anyone else waiting on pins and needles to watch an Ashley Massaro reality show and blast some Ashley Massaro music from their iPods? Anyone? No? Okay..

Mickie James‘ past came to bite her in the butt today and it was gooooood. The former four time Women’s Champ’s skeletons poured out of her closet and came back to haunt her on live radio this morning; someone send homegirl a supply of padlocks and chain because these are the kind of skeletons she’d rather keep under lock and key. The hosts of InsideSTL, a radio show out of St. Louis, had Mickie as their guest this morning and caught her off guard by bringing up her porn past. And Mickie’s response was legendary! Despite the pictures on the Internet for the whole world to see, I guess Mickie thought if she acted like they don’t exist, people will forget? Nuh-uh!

Oh Lord, where to start?! If there was a gold medal for question-dodging at the Beijing Olympics, Mickie would win Gold. What I love the most is that Mickie, herself, seems to be in denial. “It’s kind of hard to say…” What the f*ck?! You either did it or you didn’t! Unless Mickie suffers from memory loss, I’m pretty sure she’d remember turning up to a set for a pornographic photoshoot and sticking her fingers in her hoo-haa. Memo to Vince: Mickie needs a refresher course in public relations. I would have way more respect for Mickie if she just held her hands up and said, “Look, I did it but it’s in my past and I’ve gone onto have a great career with WWE and I’d prefer to talk about that.” Dodging the question and dancing around the situation makes her look like a complete retard and rightfully so, it’s all her own doing. I guess Mickie caught a case of the Solange virus…

Holy “Emo MySpace Poser Queen”, Batman! Seems as though like us, Maria isn’t too pleased with her WWE.com photoshoots so she’s taken to taking pictures of herself and uploading them to her Fan Nation profile. And boy, do they look cliche or what! Flicking through these pictures is like looking at that emo kid from high school’s MySpace pics. I’m not quite sure about the hands-to-the-head look but maybe she’s just a fan of Rihanna, in which case I guess even Maria has some redeeming qualities.

Thinking about it, Maria does have a reason to be emo, she’s a big a flop on SmackDown as she was on Raw. Seems as though WWE has finally realised she’s not a good wrestler and stopped pushing her as such, she’s now a doormat for the likes of Natalya and Maryse. As opposed to being a doormat for Beth Phoenix and Melina. # Bum bum be-rum bum bum be-rum bum #

The plot thickens… Gail Kim is heading back to the WWE! And the crowd roars! Earlier today, we reported that Gail is done with TNA. It has now been revealed Gail’s TNA leave was not a big scandal as first popped into my head when I heard the news, truth is her contract is up and WWE offered her a sizeable contract i.e. big money! Gail’s contract expires soon, as soon as it does she is expected to join the WWE.

While it’s sad to see the pioneer of the Knockouts division leave, I, for one, welcome her return to the WWE with open arms! Over the past couple of years, WWE has tried to hire more Asian stars to cater to the Asian market and there were reports that WWE had felt they missed the boat in losing Gail and that they had wanted her back. Now the dream is becoming a reality!!! This would explain why WWE has hired the likes of Lena Yada and Angela Fong, whom I hope they now drop. One would hope Gail will become part of Raw roster and in a big way, I think she could be a huge asset considering it’s become pretty stale with Mickie James at the forefront all the time. I cannot wait to see Gail vs Mickie, Melina and Beth Phoenix! Bring it on!!!

According to reports, Gail left TNA on the best of terms and the door has been left open for her. Gail’s final appearance for TNA will air tonight, in fact, it’s a bit of a downer as tonight was to be the start of a major storyline plot for Gail featuring her “sister”, Katie Kim. As I’ve reported here on Diva Dirt, one of the things that I admire about Gail is that even though she was unceremoniously dropped by WWE in 2004, she’s never out-and-out blasted the company and always acts like a consummate professional. Congratulations Gail!

EDIT: Gail signed her TNA contract on September 6, 2005. Since her contract is up, one must assume she signed a three year contract ending on September 6, 2008. Pure speculation on my end, but Unforgiven falls on Sunday, September 7th so I would expect Gail to return (if she returns to Raw) on Monday the 8th.

EDIT #2: WWE has reactivated it’s trademark of “Gail Kim”, confirming Gail’s jump.

EDIT #3: According to the latest report from Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Gail met with WWE’s Head of Talent, John Laurinaitis today in Tampa, Florida. This is the same man who informed her of her release back in 2004. Looks like this whole deal is moving at lightning speed! Hopefully, Gail will be under contract very soon =)

She may be the new Women’s Champion, but Glamazon, Beth Phoenix has been put on blast today by her now former official website owner. The webmaster of bethphoenixglamazon.com sent out this e-mail to many news sites recently and seeing as myself and Erin run Torrie Wilson and Melina‘s official sites, it’s time for us to weigh in!

I would like to issue this statement in regards to the Official Website of Beth Phoenix being “hacked”

There is some sites reporting that someone hacked the website, and placed the TNA logo there, other sites are reporting that it was just a disgruntled webmaster… tis is what happened

I was the webmaster for Beth’s Official website for its entire 9 month run, and at this point I’d like to explain what has gone on. Disgruntled is only the beginning….

I approached Beth Phoenix in regards to an Official website when she was still working down in OVW before being called back up to the WWE main roster last year. I believe we launched the site sometime around April, 2007, with the full support and input of Beth herself. We spoke about how the site should be and Beth sent on some cool ideas for some video promos that I ended up making as teaser trailers for the countdown to the opening of the site.

I had told Beth that I would look after all the registration and hosting costs of the site, because I am a pro-wrestling fan, I wasn’t bothered about spending some money each year to become the webmaster for Beth’s official website and stay in contact with her.

She wasn’t the easiest to stay in touch with, even when she was still down in OVW, but I still continued on with the site. Then some of the Beth Phoenix fansites, which may I say do an excellent job, started to get some exclusive news that I felt should’ve been reported first and exclusively on Beth’s official site. I asked why we couldn’t do it through our site, and was promised by her husband, Joey, that he would now handle reporting all news etc. to me (At this point Beth had been called back up to the main WWE roster).

We done some cool stuff with Joey, his tag-team partner Robin Knightwing, and Beth’s best friend, Kevin Grace, like PPV predictions etc etc. And I am grateful for their help at the time when Beth was busy on the road.

Unfortunately, once again, I was informed of new exclusive news being reported by a Beth fansite and I had had enough at this point. I was promised by Beth that she would send me on some stuff for doing the website for her for free, which I never received, when I asked about this stuff that never arrived, I received a Christmas card/photo signed by Beth, Joey & Knightwing. I was also promised that when Beth was in Belfast on tour with WWE (I live in Ireland), that she would in the least give me a phone call to say hi and thank me for doing the website, which, again, I never received that call.

I had asked Joey to send me on some photos and news that we could use as exclusives on the site, which I was promised to get, but never did, so at that point I decided to tell Joey to inform Beth the site was done, I was tired getting used while Beth’s official site was getting more and more popular. We had some words through email and basically I didn’t like that way I was spoken to, I was told that someone my age (I’m 2 years younger than Beth by the way) should be glad to be able to run her official website and be friends with and I quote “the WWE Women’s Champion” – this was completely the end for me, sounded like winning a title went straight to someone’s ego!

I would like to point out that when I did originally close the website (in January, 2008), I publicly thanked Beth, Joey, Robin, Kevin and a number of OVW people who helped out during the course of the site on the actual website. You think this is where the story ends…. but NO!!

I was informed by a friend sometime around the end of January that when WWE switched to the new HD set on Raw that a logo I had created specifically for Beth’s official website was being used on her TitanTron entrance.

Upon checking this out for myself I found out that WWE had stolen the logo and been using it since their very first HD broadcast in January, 2008. To say I was annoyed was a bit of an understatement!

I immediately contacted both Beth and Joey to find out if she had given WWE permission to use the logo, or if they had simply stolen it off the website. I got no reply from either. I then sent the WWE’s legal department a letter informing them of my problem with their usage of my logo, to which I also got no reply. I once again contacted Beth & Joey and pleaded with them to inform me of who gave WWE permission to use my logo, and if I didn’t get a reply I would be pursuing legal action against whoever I needed to take action against, to which, surprise surprise! I got no reply.

I have consulted with a number of people, including some pro-wrestlers, and was told to pursue my legal action against WWE over the use of my logo without permission, which I am currently following up.

I would just like to say that it is very annoying and just plain disheartening that after 9 months of non-stop hard work, not to mention the amount of money spent on web hosting, registration, purchasing past DVD’s featuring Beth to use on the website, that I was so blatantly used and screwed over by someone. At this point neither Beth nor Joey will answer my emails, and I was told in person at signings etc that Beth is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, well I’m here to tell you that she is nothing but a total user, and the general assumption of wrestlers is that they use you until they get what they want and then drop you like you never existed.

I cannot and will not watch any of Beth’s stuff on tv anymore, and until this matter is resolved and I receive an apology of sorts I will continue to tell people of what Beth Phoenix is really like.

Regarding this whole site being “hacked” issue with the TNA logo… everyone is about 2 months off regarding this… I did place the TNA logo on the website around June, 2008, in an attempt to get Beth’s / WWE’s attention over this matter, whether it worked or not is another discussion. I apologize to TNA if there is any issue regarding this.

I’d like to thank everyone who spent the time to visit Beth’s website when it was active, I’d also like to point out that Beth Unlimited (www.beth-phoenix.org) is the best Beth Phoenix fansite around at the moment, they do a great job over there, and beat me to the punch on news a number of times!!

I don’t know about you, but to me this definitely comes across as the rantings of a disgruntled fan. This person says that Beth used them? I would say they’re a user too, making for mutual usage. Seems like someone was trying to milk this relationship for all it was worth – I would never dream of asking Torrie for stuff or whatever, trying to abuse my friendship with her for my own gain. This person simply doesn’t appreciate how hard that these wrestlers work; Torrie worked nearly 7 days a week and you simply can’t expect her to be able to keep you up to date on everything. Beth isn’t the only one whose ego boosted…

PS: Galivanting around on the Internet with your “poor me, poor me” story only tarnishes your character, not Beth’s. I have no respect for someone who’d want to put all this dirty laundry out there, just because they’re not mature enough to handle the situation with grace and integrity.

One liners at the ready folks!

My home girl, Torrie Wilson is officially ready to hit the circuit once again! Three months after her WWE retirement and 9 months since her injury, Torrie is now accepting bookings for appearances including wrestling shows… though not as a wrestler, of course Torrie suffered a career-ending back injury. Word has it that Torrie’s people are requesting a cool $7000 per appearance. Is this a case of “Oh no she didn’t?”, I’ll let you decide!

Back in May, Torrie expressed to me that she was done with wrestling which makes me a little surprised to see her taking bookings for independent shows etc. It got me wondering, do I want to see the Diva who I have admired for an entire career, really go the route of the Dawn Maries and Sunnys? By that I mean, these days those two former Divas attempt to scrap together their money from conventions and indy shows. I feel, in the long run, this tends to tarnish the careers they had in their prime and it would be better just to make a clean break… just look at Trish Stratus and Lita. Sure, Lita made the odd indy appearance – but for the most part, both these Divas have their legends in tact and moved on gracefully. I would love to see Torrie do the same, it’s not like she hasn’t got other great prospects to look forward to. What do you think? Sound off in the comments!
