The song is expected to be serviced to radio and be released digitally next month. Maria has already shot a video which will also premiere next month.

We’ve posted snippets before, but having now heard the full version we can get a real feel for what Maria’s music will sound like. I have to say, this has grown on me with each snippet and having now heard the full version, it’s listenable. It’s not my usual type of music but it’s catchy and has a great hook. Good luck to her.

Having now heard the full single, what’s the verdict?

I’m going to stand by my initial assessment, it sounds perfect for a Twilight Saga soundtrack with the same angsty guitar strings and dramatic drum beats echoing behind the vocals. Maria is in full-rock out mode as she ascends from the subtle verse into the thumping chorus, again not dissimilar from a track you’d expect on a Twilight movie soundtrack. If that’s the sound she’s going for, then I think she succeeded and it’s no secret she’s a fan of those books/movies.

On second [and third, and fourth] listen, I wouldn’t say it’s groundbreaking but it’s a decent effort. I think the transition into the chorus is pretty cool and I could definitely see it catching on with people finding themselves singing along.

The song is due to premiere in full next month followed by Maria’s debut EP, ‘Sevin Sins’ on April 13th.

Having heard a little more — what do you think?

Women’s Champion Mickie James‘ debut single has premiered. The track ‘Are You With Me?’ hits radio today and will be succeeded by James’ debut album, ‘Strangers & Angels’ on March 23rd. Click here for the full cover art for the single.

The track is almost country-rock, a big difference from the Taylor Swift pop-country route I expected Mickie to go. I’m getting a Miley Cyrus vibe from Mickie’s voice — loud, shouty and garish. I can’t say this is working for me, in fact I got second hand embarassment listening to it. Thumbs down from me, I’m afraid but good luck to her.

As we expected, the teaser suggests that the EP will feature pop-rock with enough angst to fill a Twilight soundtrack — and given the Diva’s love of the series, perhaps that’s her ultimate goal?

The folks at WWE Comics have sent us a preview of the second WWE Heroes comic book which is due for release on April 27th. The issue has two covers — one featuring Raw Diva, Kelly Kelly.

The news that Awesome Kong had an altercation with shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge has been all that the wrestling world is talking about today. Diva Dirt has obtained the audio from this morning’s Bubba the Love Sponge radio show where Bubba and Hulk Hogan discussed how Awesome Kong attacked Bubba backstage at yesterday’s Impact taping. As has been well documented by all the posts this week, Kelly Kelly and Maria were over in the UK to promote the Rumble yadda yadda… Anyway, the duo recorded an interview for BBC Radio 1Xtra which aired yesterday.

Among the topics discussed, the hosts Ace and Vis probe the Divas about Melina’s injury. The then-Divas Champion tore her ACL at a house show in December.

Kelly says: “I tagged out and she told me on the site, she goes ‘My knee hurts and I don’t know why’.” Kelly explains that she asked Melina if she was okay to tag in to which Melina replied that she’d be fine.

“So she gets in there and she throws a clothesline and she turns, and it gives out… her knee just gives out and she just went down,” Kelly continues. “We didn’t understand really what happened.”

The Divas also discuss Kelly’s love for dirty rap music, relationships between the Divas and Superstars and more.

In the entertaining interview, Maryse and Sarge take some funny shots at Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool. The best part has to be when Sarge doesn’t seem to know who Kelly is ["Is she a Diva?"], while Maryse — who has wrestled Kelly — offers little consolation by saying, “I’m not sure.” Sarge then quips, “They had to name her twice so they wouldn’t forget her name.”

As revealed last night here at Diva Dirt, 12 Divas have made the cut for this year’s SmackDown vs Raw game. Below are the character models for each Diva.

I don’t know about you, but some of them look pretty awful. I think Beth is the only one that really looks on-point.

The former Victoria, Tara‘s current entrance theme ‘Broken’ has made it’s way online. The female-led rock track has been a big hit with you guys since VicTara [a comprise okay?] made her Impact debut. It’s definitely a great track for the Vicious Vixen, reminiscent of TATU’S ‘All the Things She Said’ which served as her first WWE theme.
