Charlotte Flair qualifies for MITB Ladder match

Tonight (May 8th) on SmackDown Live, Charlotte Flair earned to the opportunity to compete at this year’s Money in the Bank Ladder match by defeating Peyton Royce.

At the start of the night, SmackDown General Manager Paige confirmed that there would be two Money in the Bank Ladder matches, one for the men and one for the women that will feature a combination of Superstars from both brand.

Prior to the match, the IIconics taunted Flair on her loss at Sunday’s Backlash.

Flair started off strong, landing chops to Royce, launching her across the ring and then tossing her to the outside as headed to a break.

Upon return, Royce was able to turn things around after bouncing Flair off the ring post and kept the momentum bt hitting Flair with a neck breaker on the outside.

Billie Kay got involved in the match by bouncing Flair’s neck off the top rope, allowing Royce to hit a spinning kick for a near count.

Flair avoided another spinning and countered with a big boot. Shr follows up by climbing the top rope for a moonsault but Royce managed to get the knees up in time for a near fall.

In the end, it a was the combination of a spear and Figure Eight that earned Flair victory.

Charlotte Flair now joins Raw’s Ember Moon for next month’s MITB Ladder match with six spots still to be determined.

WWE’s Money in the Bank airs live on Sunday June 17th at 8 PM ET on the WWE Network.
