Elimination Chamber Predictions: Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James

Tonight at Elimination Chamber, Becky Lynch gets her chance to settle her rivalry with Mickie James. Will the Lass Kicker overcome the reinvented Mickie James? The Diva Dirt team weighs in:

Abir: Mickie needs this momentum to make her seem like a threat. A lot of fans seem to not remember her very much, and a solid win against Becky will put her name back on the map. Mickie will win..

Alex: Mickie still hasn’t really won a big match since her return yet, so I’m pulling for her to win. On paper it’s got a ‘Dream Match’ quality and I’m super excited to see today’s underdog taking on the underdog of 2008-2010. Mickie needs more of the momentum if she’s to be taken seriously as a heel, so she needs this win more than Becky does. Mickie countering a Dis-Arm-Her into a Mickie-T for the win!

Jack: Mickie lost on NXT and then she lost the Six Woman Tag without being pinned. She now has to get that first singles main roster win under her belt. If Becky loses, she’ll be even more determined to prove herself and get one over on Mickie, continuing the story. Mickie wins. And please bring back the Mickie DT!

Josue: Of the three women’s matches on this card, this is the one I’m most excited about! Its been pretty hard to go against anything Mickie has been saying since her return to the WWE and she is suppose to be the heel in this feud! Becky is an incredible babyface but this night will belong to Mickie James.

Kyle: After what I thought was a major misstep with Mickie at the Rumble, it is imperative that Hardcore Country wins this match. Becky is the kind of babyface that needs losses more than wins, as that has fueled much of the support behind her character. She continues to gain momentum, but it always gets cut off on her way to a second Women’s title. With Mickie‘s character being based on her anger of being overlooked as a veteran, she will rely on her experience edge and hopefully win like the cagey legend she is.

Matthew: When you go up against Mickie James, you better be ready for a fight. That’s what Becky Lynch will be doing at Elimination Chamber, as these two will lock horns for the first time. While Mickie has the more decorated career, it’s safe to say that Becky has the more inspiring career. As Becky said in a 2012 interview; “I think the world is its oyster. All female shows are getting way more popular and there is a great deal of talented young women out there ready to make a name for themselves and the business.” My money is on Becky on this one.

Stephanie: I expect a fiery match between Becky Lynch and Mickie James. No matter the outcome, I’d be satisfied. However, I think Mickie will get a win here. Becky is a true babyface, she rarely wins her feuds on PPV’s and this one is just beginning. Mickie will win and the feud will continue.

BREAKDOWN: 1 for Becky, 7 for Mickie.
