MGM have released the first official poster and stills from “Fighting With My Family”, the upcoming biographical feature about the life of WWE superstar Paige. The Office co-creator Stephen Merchant adapted the screenplay from the 2012 Channel 4 documentary The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family, and helmed it in his directorial debut.
“Fighting With My Family” is a long-time passion project of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who produced it with frequent collaborator Kevin Misher and also stars as himself. Florence Pugh, who received acclaim for her performance in “Lady Macbeth”, plays the lead role of Paige. Her parents, legendary women’s wrestler Sweet Saraya and Rowdy Ricky Knight, are played by “Game of Thrones” star Lena Headey and Nick Frost, star of Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy. WWE superstar Zelina Vega portrays three-time Divas Champion AJ Lee, while Vince Vaughan appears as WWE trainer Hutch Morgan. MGM released a trailer for the film last month.
“Fighting With My Family” premieres in Los Angeles and New York on February 14th, 2019, and enters wide release on February 22nd. Check out MGM’s official summary, as well as the stills and poster, below.
