Melina Perez wrestled for WWE from 2004 to 2011, starting with then-developmental territory OVW in March. After making her official debut in 2005, she eventually became one of the most iconic women from that era.
She had a unique look and presence, but she also managed to match excellent mic skills with tremendous in-ring work. Perez is mostly known for her devious heel character and eye-catching ring entrance. However, she had boasted an innovative offense, which relied on her athleticism and flexibility.
In retrospect, it’s hard to understand why the self–proclaimed “Most Dominant Diva in the WWE” didn’t enjoy a longer storied tenure with the company. Still, Perez is a three-time WWE Women’s Champion and a two-time WWE Divas Champion. In fact, she’s the first woman in WWE history to hold both the Women’s and Divas titles multiple times.
Today is Melina’s birthday and we here at Diva Dirt would like to celebrate the occasion by looking back at five of her most memorable moments with WWE.
