Comedienne and talk show host Chelsea Handler has responded to Beth Phoenix‘s Twitter rant directed at her a couple of days ago via her talk show.
Handler read out Beth’s tweets on E!’s Chelsea Lately last night and not-so-politely declined Beth’s invitation to attend a WWE event.
On Wednesday, Beth posted a flurry of messages to Handler’s Twitter account, @chelseahandler, for making “off color” comments about women’s wrestling. Handler was commenting on Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson, two former WWE Divas, who have been in the spotlight due to their recent A-list boyfriends. Handler said on her show: “Is that a real thing… women’s wrestling? I know that this Stacy Keibler girl’s a wrestler but I just don’t understand what context are they wrestling [in]? They have wrestling matches that are real? Is it like mud wrestling?”
Beth responded via Twitter: “Being WWE’s Diva’s Champ I can tell you with confidence that if @chelseahandler has any question about what a “women’s wrestler” can do or how well we entertain, Id be happy to show her. @chelseahandler please allow me to invite you to see a WWE event, live first hand 2/24 at the Staples Center. Of course, the invitation to @chelseahandler extends to the ring…any time …any place…if you would like to see what the Champ is made of.”
Responding on Chelsea Lately last night, Handler said she didn’t know what WWE was, admitted she was scared, and then added: “I still don’t know what the f**k you do, so shut up!”

Thoughts: Uh oh! Did she tell the Glamazon to shut up? Not a good move, Chelsea! I would hate to be her right now… That aside, we should remember that Handler is of course a comedienne, so it’s her job to be over the top for the camera.
