Ivelisse Velez took part in the most recent WWE tryouts at their Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Recently, Lucha Underground released the worldly talent from her contract, after she battled to part ways for close to two years.
She became extremely popular on the independent scene during her 15 years in various promotions. Notably, she is a two-time Shine Champion.
This isn’t the first time that Ivelisse has knocked on WWE’s door. Previously, she appeared on their reality competition show, Tough Enough, in 2011. Unfortunately, an injury forced an early elimination. Afterward, she received a developmental contract under the name Sofia Cortez. She was released in 2012.
WWE announced some other female prospects, including Alexandria Garcia from Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling. She is well-known for her time with promotions such as SHINE Wrestling, SHIMMER, and RISE Wrestling. Ana Kundzicz and Skyler Moore are two more participants who hail also from a Hall of Famer’s organization. They are both from The Dudley Boyz 3D Academy.
