Karen Q undergoes surgery from her recent injury

NXT Superstar Karen Q recently suffered an injury over this past weekend during a Live Event in Atlanta. According to WWE.com this was her first NXT road trip since starting with the company.

Her injury was originally stated to be her leg by her Twitter post. WWE.com has reported the injury to be a fracture to her lateral malleolus which is the bone on the outside of the ankle joint. According to her boyfriend who is indie wrestler Bison her surgery was earlier today.

The injury happened during her tag team match. She was teamed with Bianca Belair facing Rhea Ripley and Reina Gonzalez. According to Dave Meltzer from The Wrestling Observer, it may have happened during her execution of a northern lights suplex.

There is no word at this time how long she will be out of action.
