Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch set for the RAW Women’s Title on Dec. 6, Team Liv beats Team Becks

Liv Morgan finally gets her hands on Becky Lynch with the RAW Women’s Championship on the line next week.

On the Dec. 6 episode of RAW, Morgan will look to dethrone Lynch who has been a champion since her return to WWE at SummerSlam in August. Heading into this title match, Morgan has built up not only some confidence but some momentum as she had a great outing on this week’s show.

First, Morgan had her first-ever WWE contract signing as she sat in the ring to put pen to paper with Lynch across from her. Lynch starts off the contract signing by rehashing the fire she saw in Morgan from the punch that she received last week. Although the champ agreed that Morgan has a pretty good right, she also stated that Morgan held herself back as she always does.

After Sony Deville confirmed the match would indeed take place next week, Lynch taunted the crowd on why it won’t be held in their city. Morgan interrupted and told Lynch to shut up for once. She would go on to refresh everybody’s memory on how upset Lynch was after she defeated Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series and the dissolve of their friendship.

Morgan blamed the champ on her friendship ending with Flair and also states that the reason why her own friends are gone is due to Lynch’s “big, fat greedy contract.” Deville stopped the two from getting physical but Lynch wanted to create an opportunity for Morgan to prove that she can be a leader. She then confirmed the match for later in the night of Team Liv vs. Team Becks.

Team Liv (Liv Morgan, Nikki A.S.H., Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair & 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke) defeated Team Becks (RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina & Carmella, Doudrop, and Tamina)

The match was given plenty of time in the third hour of RAW to showcase both teams. The result would get down to Morgan and Tamina. After knocking Lynch off of the apron, Morgan was met by a superkick from Tamina. Tamina gets a near fall and thought she had the match won. She went for a Samoan Drop but Morgan would escape and drive Tamina into the ropes. Morgan hit ObLIVion to get the pin and the win.

The action wouldn’t end there. After the match, the teams would continue to fight each other with the members of each team focusing on their recent rivalries. Lynch would return to the ring to start stomping on Liv in the corner. Liv started fighting back as they trade back and further punches.

Lynch would go for the Manhandle Slam but Morgan countered and hit ObLIVion. The winning team then celebrated in the ring as Lynch yelled for her title belt. Morgan yelled that next week it would be hers.

Morgan speaks on her title opportunity on RAW Talk that can be seen below.
