Bobby: Well, I’ll be honest and say I haven’t kept up with TNA for the most part since Mickie James was champion. I may tune back in to the Knockouts a bit once Santana debuts, but as of now my prediction is probably not the most reliable to go off of. Nevertheless, I know Madison and Gail’s history from before Rayne’s maternity leave so I have a general idea of what the feud is about and being that I don’t think her title reign has been too long (the taped shows confuse me so I have no idea in actuality), I see Madison Rayne being victorious. There’s not many people she can move on to, but the same can be said for Gail as well so I’m hoping maybe we can get a few more permanent independent signings along the way to freshen things up.
Chris: It seems like forever since the last TNA PPV… Probably because it has been! Madison vs Gail should have been the easiest Knockouts feud that TNA could have booked right now, but a less than stellar build-up has left a little bit of a sour taste in a lot of mouths. Nonetheless, I have full confidence that these two great performers will put on a great match. With Madison semi-recently winning the title I would expect her to win. BUT since this is TNA I’m predicting Gail Kim to win because… Well… It’s TNA.
Cryssi: Madison Rayne because the alternative makes me wanna cry.
Erin: I just don’t think they’ve taken full advantage of Madison Rayne as champion yet. Sure, she’s got more spark to her as a heel, but there are a lot of things they could have done to make her reign more memorable thus far. I hope that indicates that they have more in store post-Lockdown rather than using her as a placeholder until Gail regains the belt. So, since I’m trying to be optimistic, I’m going to go with Madison Rayne to retain. I want to see her title reign get exciting as well as see how Gail will react when losing such a high stakes match.
Jack: I’m not going to lie. I really haven’t been keeping up with this ‘feud’ as TNA have been using WWE’s classic “OH MY GOD YOU SUCK” “WELL WTF YOU STINK” style of feud where the girls are just fighting for the sake of it. However, when TNA puts its Knockouts in Steel Cage, I’m not going to be ignorant to that. I’m going with Madison Rayne for this one. She’s a recent champion and I feel there’s a little more scope for a Face champ at the moment. Imagine if Tapa became #1 Contender next and a jealous Gail was lurking in the background? That would an interesting twist on the current story. Should be a solid match with Madison retaining.
BREAKDOWN: 4 for Madison, 1 for Gail.
Who do you agree with? Who is just dead wrong?
