Mercedes Martinez proves she doesn’t need any help from Mickie James, IMPACT! Nov. 18 lineup

Mercedes Martinez sent a big message to Mickie James on this week’s IMPACT! Despite James coming out to help Martinez, she proved that it wasn’t needed and that she is coming for the Knockouts World Title at Turning Point.

Martinez took on Madison Rayne which had nostalgia built in from their encounter during the WWE Mae Young Classic in 2018. Much like that encounter, Martinez came out with a win on the five-time Knockouts Champion after countering a ripcord cutter as she stacked up Rayne for three count.

After the match, Rayne didn’t let the loss stop her from going after Martinez. She executed a ripcord cutter and then went for a chair to apply more damage to the number one contender. This is when Hardcore Country hit and the Knockouts World Champion Mickie James rushed to the ring.

James was able to stop Rayne from doing any further damage to Martinez but perhaps she shouldn’t have been so concerned. As James went to help Martinez up, her upcoming challenger placed James on her shoulders and hit a modified driver to send a message.

In the tag team division, the Knockouts World Tag Team Champions – The IInspiration will be seeing the former champs Decay at Turning Point. Before they get in the ring against each other again, Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay want to weaken them a bit. They tried getting the help of the Undead Bridesmaids, but the duo of Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren couldn’t get it done.

Decay was successful in their tag team match against the Undead Bridesmaids this week on IMPACT! With The IInspiraton at ringside for this match, Kimber and Brandi tried to take advantage of any distraction they could. Despite this, Decay hit a backbreaker spear combo to pick up the victory.

The IInspiration not happy with the result of this match says they will handle the Undead Bridesmaids next week and remove them from “their” tag team division.

Prior to IMPACT getting underway, on BTI, Savannah Evans defeated Rachael Ellering. Ellering thought she had Evans beat but with a distraction from Tasha Steelz, Evans hits a Uranagi to get the victory.

Next week The Virtuosa returns to address her enemies. Since losing the Knockouts World Title to Mickie James at Bound for Glory, Deonna Purrazzo has not been seen on IMPACT programming. All that changes next week when she has a sit-down interview.

Lastly, there will be a number one contenders match for the Digital Media Championship. It will be a Four-way match and you can see Chelsea Green‘s promo below.
