New details on Mae Young Classic II

After the success of last year’s Mae Young Classic, the WWE announced earlier this year that they would hold a second all women’s tournament event.

According to the Wrestling Observer (via Cageside Seats), the taping dates for tournament will take placr on August 7th and 8th at Full Sail University.

Rumored participant names (per the Wrestling Observer and Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens) include Toni Storm, who placed in the semi-finals at least year’s event, and STARDOM’s Io Shirai.

Shirai was temporarily featured on WWE’s website during their March 2017 tryout trials until all mentions and photos of her attendance were subsequently removed. She reportedly was set to join the company but an injury would cause WWE’s offer to be revoked.

Are you excited for a second Mae Young Classic? Would you like to see either Toni Storm or Io Shirai participate? Who else would you like to see take part in the tournament? Let us know in the comments below!
