Mercedes Martinez is your new SHINE Champion defeating Allysin Kay at SHINE63. The two tore the house down in Livonia, MI in a SHINE Championship vs SHINE Career match.
Mercedes Martinez wasn’t originally booked on the show and threw down the gauntlet to SHINE officials stating that if she didn’t win the title she would leave the promotion forever.
The SHINE original, Martinez has never held the coveted championship until now and as their new champion, it looks as though she won’t be going anywhere.
The match took part on night one of a two-night tournament to crown a new SHINE Nova Champion. The second night takes place tonight in Chicago, IL and available on live stream and on-demand.

Linsay Snow best Jayme Jameson and will face Stormie Lee in the second round
Natalia Markova defeated Jenna Van Muscles via pinfall
Brandi Lauren bested Randi West
The WOAD defeated Candy Cartwright and will face Natalia Markova in round 2
AJ Perera defeated Kimber Lee to advance to round 2 and face Brandi Lauren
