As with all the releases that have taken place this year, the company doubles down on the “budget cuts” explanation to why they keep occurring. Amid the reasoning given by WWE, many reports from outside the company speculated that vaccination status was part of this round of releases. This has not been confirmed at the time of this writing by the company or any talents that have just been released. Jax took to her social media to clear up any rumors.

In the post, she discusses that she recently took a short leave of absence from WWE for a mental health break. She was written off of RAW after a match with Shayna Baszler in September. Since then she was drafted and kept on RAW in October and the support was there from the company to take her time off.

After receiving her schedule to come back later in the month of November she had asked for an extension to her mental health break. She did not receive a response and then the was part of the releases that took place yesterday. Her vaccination status was never part of the conversation and she wasn’t given any choices or options for requesting additional time away.

She ends the post by saying she is heartbroken and that she loved her WWE career.

Diva Dirt sends our best wishes to Nia Jax during this difficult time and hope to see her back in a wrestling ring in the future.
