Last night at WWE Fastlane, Nia Jax and Tamina attacked WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Bayley after losing their title match. Beth Phoenix tried to intervene only to get laid out herself. Her best friend, Natalya, tried to make the save, only to get dropped for her troubles.
Tonight on Raw, Nattie was booked to wrestle The Irresistible Force for payback. However, she didn’t come down that ramp alone. Her Divas of Doom pal, Beth Phoenix, was right by her side for the match. Well, we use the word “match” loosely as the match never got underway.
The bout went on for less than a minute before Phoenix hit the ring to attack Tamina and Nia Jax. The onslaught from the Hall of Famer was enough to send the powerhouses packing to the back. Only, Jax and Tamina walked right into a backstage brawl with the Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection. They squabbled until a pack of refs separated the two. Looks like the beef between these three teams is far from over.
We speculated last night that WWE could be teasing an in-ring return for The Glamazon and with her second physical appearance in a row, it looks like that’s exactly the seed they’re planting. It’s worth noting that the last time that Beth Phoenix was on Raw, she won a match against AJ Lee. Could a return match against Nia Jax and Tamina be next?
