Earlier today, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claimed that the WWE were confused as to why their audience hadn’t been giving Brie Bella the fanfare that they had expected since her recent face turn and push.
Given her recent championship challenger status and on-screen and off-screen relationship with Daniel Bryan, it appears that WWE were expecting that the fans would warm to and connect with Brie’s new character almost immediately.
Eager to put this rumor to bed, Brie’s sister Nikki Bella took to Twitter to address the news regarding her sister. Tweeting Diva Dirt, she said:
@divadirt Actually the real reports are the exact opposite, everyone needs to remember that social media sites mainly have made up info ????N

Note from the Editor: Many of the more recent “backstage rumor” stories (like this and a recent Eva Marie rumor) often feel like conclusions based off of what is seen on TV each week rather than credible backstage knowledge. Whether this story was one or the other, we may never find out.
At the end of the day, though, we tend to side with those who have intimate knowledge of a situation, as Nikki obviously does here.
