It’s been quite the year for NXT Women’s Champion Asuka. Since her debut against Dana Brooke last year, Asuka has taken on every challenge and continues to raise the bar. She remains a hypnotizing force in the women’s division and is undefeated to this day.
NXT is celebrating this milestone by posting a video package, an extra from the Women’s Evolution special, outlining her importance to the division and women’s wrestling as it continues to move forward to break barriers in the WWE.
The video highlights her past accomplishments in Japan, her dreams of coming to America as a little girl, and features comments from Stephanie McMahon, Lita, and Bayley on how she’s the future of women’s wrestling.
Asuka’s next challenger remains to be seen. It’s possible NXT begins laying the groundwork for her next title defense soon as the next TakeOver event is scheduled for November 19.
