The fall-out from last week’s TakeOver event, Stand & Deliver, is tonight on NXT’s new night. NXT will be on Tuesday nights from here on out and we have a new champion for the brand. Raquel Gonzalez defeated Io Shirai in the main event of Night One from TakeOver. Shirai held the title for over 300 days.
Gonzalez is scheduled tonight to usher in the start of her reign. What will be next for Shirai? Will she get a rematch?
In addition to Gonzalez, the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions will be in action as Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon join with Dexter Lumis and Bronson Reed in an eight-person tag team match. They will be facing all four members of The Way.
Mercedes Martinez filled in for Jessi Kamea when The Robert Stone Brand had their title shot. Martinez is still needing her monetary compensation for that outing and looks to take out Kamea tonight to get it.
Lastly, we are going to be seeing the debut of Franky Monet. Formerly known as Taya Valkyrie in IMPACT and the indies she is ready to make a splash in the WWE on the black and gold brand. Promo videos have been airing for a few weeks now that have included her dog running all around the WWE Performance Center. How will Monet be introduced tonight?
