Tonight’s NXT has two matches advertised that involve the women of the brand. We will see a number one contender’s match to determine who faces The Way at The Great American Bash next week for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.
This match will be a Triple Threat and involve NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai, Zoey Stark & Io Shirai, and Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart. All three teams came to a brawl last week after Stark & Shirai defeated The Robert Stone Brand.
The second match advertised is a Mixed Tag Team Match which sees Xia Li & Boa facing Mercedes Martinez and Jake Atlas. The rivalry between Li and Martinez is still strong as Li defeated Martinez at the last TakeOver event. Last week, Atlas helped Martinez up after Li attacked her backstage.
