NXT Superstars reportedly released from contracts

Abbey Laith, formerly known as Princess Kimber Lee, has been released from her NXT contract, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Abbey hasn’t confirmed the release on social media and neither has WWE/NXT’s channels, but her last tweet, if it’s any indication regarding the sad news, is a quote from “Rocky.”

Abbey signed with the company in January of last year. She was featured in the Mae Young Classic in a stand out bout against Jazzy Gabret, but she was very sporadically featured on NXT TV beyond that.

Also reportedly released from NXT is fellow Mae Young Classic competitor Sage Beckett. Like Abbey, Sage signed with WWE NXT in January 2017 and appeared on NXT live events managing Lana early. She was featured in the first round of the Mae Young Classic losing to Bianca Belair.

Sage tweeted the following earlier today:

We’ll update more on this breaking news once more information becomes available.

If Abbey and Sage indeed are released from NXT we hope to see their continue careers in the Indies!
