With a new Women's Champion crowned at the Royal Rumble in Mickie James, it seemed like a new era for the SmackDown Divas division. Not quite. Despite a new champion, we still have the same three-way problem though slightly altered: Beth Phoenix wants the title, Michelle McCool wants the title and Mickie James wants to keep the title. A three-way match between these two had been teased in the early weeks of January but somewhere along the way, the focus shifted back to Mickie and Michelle leading to the Rumble. But now it looks like we're once again on course ...
This week for the Impact Write-Up, I'm going to try something different. Instead of the usual match review with my comments thrown in there, I'm going to do just a plain review of the actual match itself and what led up to it, then at the end I'm going to list the things I enjoyed about Impact, and the things I didn't. I hope this column turns out a lot neater and more informative than my two previous ones. The Knockout portion of Impact started with an interview from both champion and later on, the challenger. Both put over the match ...
Another week, another Raw Divas match on WWE Superstars. This week, we've got another tag team match: Eve Torres and Kelly Kelly vs. Alicia Fox and Katie Lea. Can Katie Lea score her first win in quite a while, or will the flashy faces prevail? Watch the match below: Alicia and Eve start the match with a tie-up, Alicia taking control and turning a side headlock into a hip toss. She holds the headlock on Eve, despite her fight for momentum. Alicia eventually gets to her feet and is shoved away by Eve. Alicia bounces off the ropes and shoulder-blocks and ...
Week after week, we have witnessed Michelle McCool and Layla crack about 10,000 jokes, all with the same punchline: Mickie is fat. As lamented as this "Piggie James" storyline has been here at Diva Dirt, with its fat jokes and barnyard humor, it has been given one of the biggest buildups in recent Diva memory, and it was reasonable to think that they would cap off this pretty silly storyline with a decent enough match, at least to make the juvenile booking somewhat worth it. After all, their match at TLC was pretty damn good. Let's see if Mickie and ...

SHIMMER will be following up it’s hugely successful November anniversary with new DVD tapings this April. The company will film four volumes in Berwyn, IL on April 10th and 11th.

From the ‘better late than never’ files, check out this post-match interview with new Knockouts Champion, Tara from Sunday’s Genesis pay per view.

Former TNA Knockout, Karen Angle could be returning to TNA reports the Wrestling Observer. The former Mrs. Angle is currently dating TNA founder, Jeff Jarrett and accompanied him on the road for house shows last week.
The Observer writes that Karen may be brought in for a feud between her ex-husband, Kurt and her current beau.
Are we ready for the return of wrestling’s hottest cougar mom?

The return of Angelina Love on last week’s episode of Impact was the highest rated segment of the entire broadcast. The segment, which also included a Knockouts tag team match featuring Awesome Kong and Hamada taking on The Beautiful People, drew a 1.34 cable rating.
Overall, the show was watched by 1.8 million viewers and and averaged a 1.26 rating.

As we enter day two of the frenzy surrounding Awesome Kong and Bubba the Love Sponge, the former Knockouts Champion posted a couple of indirect tweets on her award-winning Twitter page:
“Kongfucious says: sometimes you must feed someone a fist to make them eat their own words.”
“Apologies to all of my supporters for the lack of tweets lately. Trying not to give certain talentless hacks publicity.”
Bubba responded via his radio show this morning. When asked if he was feeling better today, he said that he was until he saw the tweets from Kong, referring to her as ‘you know who’.
Sponge continued to make references to Kong throughout the show and welcomed guest Mick Foley, who had helped Kong’s Wrestlers 4 Haiti with a $2500 donation last week. Read below for notes on the show courtesy of Bubba Wrap Up.com:
* An e-mail said Bubba should’ve been able to hit Awesome Kong back. Bubba said he would’ve loved to blast her, but he thinks he made the right decision. Bubba said it didn’t hurt and would expect more from someone as fat and hideous as her.
* Bubba said he doesn’t care what happens with Kong and he doesn’t want to get a reputation of getting people fired. Awesome Kong continues to bad mouth Bubba on her Twitter page.
* Bubba said he was taken aback since he had just met Kong 15 minutes prior with Hogan, and he could’ve talked things out like he’s doing with Mick. Mick said he knew Bubba was a nice guy and would’ve been livid had he not known Bubba, and he wondered how this could’ve happened.
I love how he complains about her ‘bad mouthing’ him on Twitter after all the smack he’s been talking on his radio show.

A Women’s Championship match was made for the Rumble at last night’s SmackDown taping.
Michelle McCool will defend the title against Mickie James at the pay per view on January 31st.

Following her debut at last night’s SmackDown taping, it looks as though Serena Deeb — FCW’s Mia Mancini — has indeed been called up to the main roster and will be part of the SmackDown brand as part of CM Punk’s stable.
According to our detailed spoilers, Deeb was announced as the new member of the team following a shocking segment in which she had her head shaved bald.
Furthermore, Mickie James just posted a note on Twitter about Deeb, ‘welcoming her to the dance’.
Diva Dirt reader Christie sent along her own spoilers for this Friday’s show which will include these shocking scenes. Click the ‘+’ to read:
* As for the Divas segment, it was extremely good and the crowd was into it. Michelle and Layla came out to some pretty decent heat. The ring was decorated with pink ballons and a table full of pig cakes. There was a sign saying “BUH-BYE PIGGE JAMES”. Michelle starts off by saying something like “I was suppose to defend my title at the Royal Rumble but looks like we drove Mickie away,” and her and Layla start doing their typical routine. Both did great and got some good heat from the crowd. Maria inturpts and defends Mickie. Maria, to me, did great on the mic and the interaction between the three wasn’t flat at all. Some of it was corny like Maria calling them Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee lol. Mickie then comes out (looking fantistic) and says she has put up with girls like her before all her life. She says this is what a real woman looks like and looks into the crowd and says something like: “All the women out here, are real women… fat, skinny, short, tall.” Mickie I believe said something about the title but I wasn’t sure. There really was a lot going on for me to remember but it was just that good. I kinda took me back to the old Diva days with a segment like this.
Anyway, a fight broke out and Maria took on Layla in one corner and Mickie took on Michelle in another. Lay-Cool starts taking charge and beating up on Maria and Mickie. Beth comes out and stands there looking like “hmm who should I go after?” lol. Beth takes out Maria first and then all three beat up on Mickie. Michelle takes a pig off the cake and puts it in Mickie’s face then they dump a bowl of punch on her. Lay-Cool and Beth get lots of heat and even a “you suck” chant. It looked like Mickie was doing some real heavy crying saying “I’m sorry” to the fans. Maria tries to console but Mickie just storms away. The fans start a “Mickie chant” and clap for her but she kept on saying “I’m sorry” and she runs backstage, Maria then heads to the back quickly.
Natalya flirts with Khali during a tag match but it doesn’t work when Hart Dynasty looses to Hardy and Khali.
In a minor spoiler for this week’s SmackDown, FCW’s Mia Mancini aka Serena Deeb will be making her ‘debut’ and well, what she gets up to will leave me and many other women clutching their hair for dear life.
Check out the picture of Serena bald after her antics to your left, courtesy of The Hurricane’s Twitter.
Thank God she has a beautiful face! I don’t know about you, but even in a camera phone picture she’s working that bald look.
