After weeks of little to no direction for the SmackDown Divas, we finally have a storyline -- albeit an interpromotional one -- with Lay-Cool set to challenge Melina at Night of Champions to unify the Divas and Women's Championships. If the objective for tonight's SmackDown segment was to push that match, well, they did a good job. If the objective was for Layla's commentary to overshadow and seem more important than the match in the ring, well, they also accomplished that too. Watch below: In a video that is 5 minutes long, you actually have to skip to the 2 minute mark ...
... Maryse! In a flip-flop of last year's top two, the two time Divas Champion has replaced Melina at the apex of this year's 50 Sexiest Divas countdown, thwarting the current Divas Champion's chances of a three-peat. Maryse was last year's #2, narrowly coming behind Melina and this year, narrowly beating Melina. In 2008, she ranked at #15 on the countdown. This year's chart saw more votes than ever. 15,000 votes were cast over the course of the competition. Also making the top 10 is Mickie James, holding onto her #3 spot from last year, despite being released earlier this year. Mickie's charting ...
After weeks and weeks of pointless speculation, outlandish theories, and minor spoilers from other Knockouts, Tara finally showed her actual face on TNA television again. Absolute SHOCK reigned supreme in the Impact Zone and I'm sure I wasn't the only person scratching my head at the dramatic turn of events! The announcers even seemed amazed. I mean hello! Tara is back and she's helping the woman who ended her career no less! It's mind boggling. It's truly baffling. It's more confusing that a statistical lecture in an 8am psychology class. It's TNA! And in TNA, things don't have to make ...
After thirteen weeks of straight up drama, season two of NXT finally reached it's conclusion last night. The show delivered in every aspect you could think of, and for us Diva fans, Christmas certainly came early this year! The amazing finale had surprises, unexpected announcements that kept us on our toes the entire night, tears, beatdowns, and one winner who probably deserved it more than the others. So how exactly did last night's show pan out? Well read on and find out for yourself! Ashley Valence, who is more often than not missing in action, is in the ring tonight and ...
The NXT cast for season three has been revealed! A picture leaked (see above) before tonight's NXT broadcast could even end shows that the cast will consist of six Divas: AJ Lee, Aksana, Aloisia, Jamie Keyes, Maxine and Naomi. Profiles on all six rookies below: * AJ Lee: 23-year old AJ, real name April Jeanette, was signed by WWE last spring. Prior to WWE, she had been working on the independent circuit as Miss April. AJ primarily worked in the New Jersey area for Women Superstars Uncensored where she was one half of ...

With the quality you’ve come to expect and the enthusiasm you’ve come to enjoy, the Tiffany Guide to Impact helps you come down from your cramp-inducing turkey high: with a steaming plate of reheated Knockout action, and a side of stale competition. In perhaps the greatest Knockout tradition of all, this TNA Knockout battle royale is brought to you by yet another hair extension malfunction. (Hint: it’s a dark track this time. Not to fear, Lacey Von Erich. You’re in the clear this time). Aw, who’s to say TNA never gives us anything during the holiday season!
If this week’s Divas action on TV left you salty, the Knockouts action on the web should do the trick. Two of TNA’s most talented Knockouts lock horns in what I consider to be Black Friday’s biggest steal — a match worth paying for, for free on YouTube! Watch below:

If, like me, you watch SmackDown only for the Divas, let me save you the trouble: Mickie’s not leaving SmackDown. Yeah, that’s all you need to know. Seriously, no need to even watch the show — just read those four words and you’re good to return to your Thanksgiving-induced food coma or Black Friday shopping.
However, if [also like me] you’re a glutton for punishment and force yourself to sit through the show anyway, you can watch the clip below:
So what have we learned from this? Mickie’s not leaving SmackDown. But wait… did anyone actually think she was?
It’s a nice change to see Mickie, once a mute Raw by-product, be given some talking time on SmackDown over the past few weeks. And an interview nonetheless! It reminds me of the good old days, like that time Lilian interviewed Trish and then Jazz attacked her and broke her hand, but I digress.
However looking beyond the unconventional, the segment was far too short to really mean anything and suggests whoever scripted Mickie didn’t spend a lot of time writing it. Proof: even in a 30 second interview, Mickie repeats herself.
I officially render this week’s SmackDown a dud.

Former TNA Knockouts Champion, Awesome Kong has launched her very own charitable organisation to help teenagers. The ‘Fountains for Youth’ programme will raise awareness amongst teens for things such as drugs, teen pregnancy and more. Kong is auctioning off one of her most prized wrestling attires on eBay to help raise funds to kickstart the programme. Read the press release below:
TNA Wrestling superstar Awesome Kong is making an unprecedented effort to help inner-city youth.
The dynamic pro wrestler is planning to auction off the primary costume/outfit that she’s been wearing for the past four years, in order to raise funds for her nonprofit organization.
Kong’s “Fountains for Youth” aims to begin launching programs designed to make today’s teens aware of high-risk concerns like drugs, teen pregnancy, high school dropouts, etc.
“It’s a peer-to-peer kind of program,” Awesome Kong said recently.
The first program that “Fountains for Youth” hopes to launch is something called STAHR, which stands for Somebody’s Talking About High Risk.
The first step is the auction, in which Awesome Kong will, through eBay, put up for bid the very same outfit that has seen her through the biggest matches of her explosive career.
“It’s been with me for almost five years, but I’m willing to part with it in order to raise money for my organization’s mission,” she said.
Industry observers say that such an auction hasn’t been done before.
“Every program that we will launch will be a ‘fountain’ of knowledge for kids,” Kong said in explaining the origin of the “Fountains for Youth” moniker.
Kong said the STAHR program will involve kids being matched with professionals in the world of video production and media, so that the youths will be able to create and produce their own public service announcements (PSAs).
The PSAs will then be shown to the teens’ peers, to help spread the word about various high-risk situations that they or their friends may encounter.
“I want to create a buzz about this,” Kong said, “because I’m very proud of what these kids are going to be doing.”
To bid on Kong’s gear click here, it’s for a very worthy cause! We consider Kong a friend of this site and were honoured to have her support with Diva Dirt Gives Back earlier this year, so we couldn’t be more happy to help her in any way we can with her own endeavors. We’re sending the best of luck to Kong, what she’s doing is incredible. Please help spread the word!

Tonight, it’s a Knockouts battle royal on a Thanksgiving episode of Impact! Discuss this week’s Knockouts action, as always, in the comments!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Former TNA Knockouts Champion, Angelina Love told the Chicago Sun Times that she’s hoping to return to TNA ‘soon’.
In an interview with Love, real name Angel Williams, that took place last weekend as she reunited with her former tag team partner, Velvet Sky for an independent show, the ex-Knockout said the original Beautiful People would reunite in TNA once again.
”Oh, absolutely,” Love said. ”Don’t believe everything you hear, and don’t believe everything you read.”
”We’ll definitely get on that train again,” Love said.
”It’ll be soon,” she said. ”That’s all I can say — soon.”
”Of course,” Love said. ”I’ve got a little bit more time, but I definitely, whenever you make a comeback or whatever — for people who haven’t seen you in a long time — you don’t want to come back looking worse. You definitely want to come back looking bangin’ so …”
As reported last month, there wasn’t [at the time at least] any real talk about bringing Angelina back to the company. Perhaps things have changed since then but from what we were told at the time, there were some underlying issues during her run and TNA were in no real hurry to bring her back.
Angel is one hell of a talent and it would be a real shame if she didn’t come back to either TNA or even WWE.

The upcoming third season of Celebrity Apprentice finished shooting last week, freeing up SmackDown Diva, Maria to return to the ring at anytime. The timing couldn’t be more perfect as lone babyface, Mickie James needs an equalizer against Michelle McCool and Layla.
Now isn’t that something to be thankful for?

To all of our readers in the United States, we’d like to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving! We hope you have a fantastic holiday and thank you all for your support of the site. To those outside of the US, well thank you too!
The Diva Dirt team have written our own individual messages of thanks, which you can read after the cut. More after the cut »
In celebration of Thanksgiving, this edition of Unwrapped will feature the Divas’ Thanksgiving-themed photoshoot, in which each dress in their best (or most stereotypical) Native American costumes. (Click here to see the full photoshoot.)
We’ll give you the chance to give your own grade to each photoshoot, “branding” each like so: Sweet means it’s great, Bland means it’s on the fence, and Sour means it’s just awful. Now, let’s unwrap this eye candy:
Alicia Fox
Grade: Bland. The color and fit of the dress make it look more like a potato sack than a dress. The matching blue trim and headband are cute, though, and the red feather absolutely pops. But still, for someone we’ve dubbed “Alicia Fierce”, she could have cooked up a far more fierce costume than this!

Beth Phoenix
Grade: Sweet. I love that Beth went pretty bare-bones and wore (what looks like) a deer skin outfit fashioned with her own two hands. I’d totally buy it if you told me Beth took down and skinned the deer herself. So sexy! ..Not the “killing animals” part, of course. You know what I mean.
