Pro-Wrestling: EVE racks 4 million viewers on BBC One Show

All women’s wrestling promotion Pro-Wrestling: EVE has cultivated a cult following over the years, but more recently has slowly evolved into becoming the pinnacle of British wrestling. Their popularity is starting to bleed into the mainstream, which includes a special feature on BBC 1’s The One Show.

The One Show is a prestigious award winning British television talk show where celebrities go to chime in. The latest celebs to chime in to the show were former Pro Wrestling: EVE Champions Rhia O’Reilly and Charlie Morgan. Both athletes appeared in front of the live audience during last night’s One Show episode.

Rhia O’Reilly is often praised as the face of the EVE brand. Not only has she held two significantly long title reigns with the brand’s top title, but The Fighting Irish serves as a coach at the EVE Academy.

Meanwhile, before setting sail for the NXT UK brand, Charlie Morgan looked like she was well on her way to becoming EVE’s new top star during her Pro Wrestling: EVE Championship reign. That is, until she was upset by current champion, Nina Samuels, during the 2018 SHE-1 Ace of EVE event.

Last night’s episode of The One Show also showcased a feature on EVE Hall of Famer, Klondyke Kate. A bonafide legend of the British wrestling scene, Klondyke Kate dedicated 35 years of her life to this business before she retired as a wrestler in 2010 due to ill health.

Their appearance on The One Show proved to be a big win for Pro Wrestling: EVE as their time on the show racked in approximately 4 million viewers. Seeing such a high viewership not only signals how EVE continues to develop a massive audience, but it really goes to show just how much of a hot commodity women’s wrestling is right now that 4 million people tuned in to see what the hubbub was about.

Women’s wrestling is on fire right now and so is Pro Wrestling: EVE.
