ROH to crown its new Women’s Champion at Death Before Dishonor on Sept. 12

Ring of Honor has announced that their new women’s champion will be crowned on Sept. 12 at its Death Before Dishonor XVIII event. The event will take place in Lakeland, Fla. at the RP Funding Center. This event for Ring of Honor has been a mainstay since 2003.

The brackets for the Women’s Title Quest For Gold Tournament are set and were announced this past Sunday at Best in the World. Board of Directors Maria Kanellis Bennett has been doing an exceptional job at building up this tournament and scouting talent. The goal is to rebuild ROH’s women’s division while finding a new champion. The prior women’s title was deactivated at the beginning of 2020. The tournament officially begins on July 31 on ROH TV.

At Best in the World, Chelsea Green shocked many when she showed up at the event. Green was released by WWE in April and is excited to appear with a company such as ROH that she hasn’t had the chance to do yet in her career.

Although at this time, she is not able to compete due to rehabbing her injured arm, she states she will be ready in a month’s time. She will be watching the women’s matches until that time checking out her future competition.

The full list of participants in the tournament are as follows:

There is one spot left in the tournament, a spot that Quinn McKay can earn. She will face off against Mandy Leon this weekend on ROH TV to try and earn that spot.
