Sexy Star to make MMA debut

Former Lucha Underground Champion, Sexy Star, is set to make her MMA debut. Star signed an exclusive multi-fight contract with Combate Americas. Her first fight with the franchise will take place on Apr. 12 in her hometown of Monterrey, Mexico.

Sexy Star is perhaps best known for her three-year stint with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). She went on to wrestle for Lucha Underground, where she became the first woman to win the Gift of the Gods Championship, as well as the Lucha Underground Championship. She also worked a few matches for SHIMMER under her real name, Dulce Garcia.

Garcia left Lucha Underground following the second season. On July 2, 2016, García appeared for the first time unmasked at a boxing event in Mexico City and announced she would pursue a career as a professional boxer. She is currently undefeated with a record of 5-0 following her last fight in August of 2018.

The 36-year-old Bantamweight fighter has never competed under mixed martial arts rules, but she has expressed interest since 2017. She’s an accomplished wrestler, but she also has experience with boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai.
