SHINE Nova Championship tournament announced for vacant title

SHINE Wrestling will be crowning a new Nova Champion over the course of a two-night tournament taking place on Dec. 13 & Dec. 14. This will be for their SHINE 63 & 64 events. The title was recently vacated by Shotzi Blackheart due to signing a contract with WWE for their NXT brand.

The Nova Championship’s history is still fairly new. It was introduced in 2017 and Blackheart was only its fourth titleholder.

At this time the full brackets and which participant is facing which has not been announced. Aja Perera has commented on her Twitter account that she will be facing Kimber Lee in the first round.

Although not advertised Mercedes Martinez has made a comment on not being included for the tournament. She has something to say about this and may end up making her way towards adding another title to her long list of accomplishments.
