Skye Blue added to Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out

Skye Blue has been added as the 21st entrant to this weekend’s Casino Battle Royale. On Sunday, at AEW’s All Out event, the second-ever Casino Battle Royale will take place. A match scheduled for 21-women now has all the entrants named as Tony Khan offered Skye Blue a spot during the AEW Dark tapings.

Skye faced Red Velvet on the taped Dark episode which will air this coming Tuesday. She received a very warm reception as she was in her hometown of Chicago. After the match, Khan came out to, what seemed like a surprise, to ask Skye if she wanted to join the Battle Royale.

Skye has been making waves lately having bookings with various promotions. She was recently victorious on the NWA EmPowerrr pre-show against Christi Jaynes. On the Sept. 1 episode of Dark: Elevation, she faced Riho in a losing effort and is frequently seen for the Chicago-based promotion AAW.

Now with Skye’s inclusion into the Casino Battle Royale, that takes the 21st and last spot in the match. Generally, this style of match only has 21 competitors with ‘The Joker’ being revealed as a surprise. Khan has previously stated that he has a pretty fun surprise for ‘The Joker’ but it is unclear if Skye is indeed the surprise or if there will be a number 22 entrant (or someone will be replaced by Skye).

During the announcement for the Casino Battle Royale match during Rampage, Skye was not included in the graphic or officially confirmed.

The full list of competitors are:

Nyla Rose, Big Swole, Penelope Ford, Tay Conti, The Bunny, Jade Cargill, Red Velvet, Thunder Rosa, Kiera Hogan, Hikaru Shida, Julia Hart, Diamante, Emi Sakura, Abadon, Leyla Hirsch, KiLynn King, Jamie Hayter, Rebel, Anna Jay, Riho, and Skye Blue.

Ahead of her match against Dr. Britt Baker on Sunday for the AEW Women’s World Championship, Kris Statlander faced Rebel and Jamie Hayter in a handicap match on Rampage. Statlander picked up the victory before all three women surrounded the ring. Red Velvet came out to make the save and back Statlander as Baker and company retreated up the ramp.
