Last week’s SmackDown saw Dana Brooke become the first woman from the SmackDown brand to qualify for the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder Match. She defeated Naomi in what many felt was a surprise upset. Tonight, we will see Lacey Evans take on Sasha Banks to advance.
Evans and Banks is a more personal rivalry surrounding their match than most. There has been months worth of animosity built up for Evans and she intends to take it out on Banks and move forward to get her shot at the briefcase. The Boss is looking to see that won’t happen.
As for Dana Brooke, her advancing to the the MITB match wasn’t the only thing she has on her plate. She teams with Carmella to face Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross tonight for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. With the dissolution of Fire & Desire there continues to be minimal tag teams in the division. The new team of Brooke & Carmella look to capture their first tag gold and for Brooke, her first gold ever in the company.
What will we see tonight as well between Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville? Deville made her opinions of Rose very clear last week. Will this lead to a match between the two at MITB or will we at least get a mixed tag match to include Otis & Dolph Ziggler?
