Sonya Deville has finally booked Naomi in a match on SmackDown…against herself.
After being left out of the Queen’s Crown Tournament and still without a match since moving to the blue brand in August, Naomi confronted Deville once again. Deville doubles down on not allowing Naomi to compete saying that she is not worthy of being a Queen or on the SmackDown roster. Naomi reminds her once again that she is a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion before turning her attention to Adam Pearce.
Naomi asked Pearce if he would trade her back to RAW but before he could answer Deville interrupts. She says that Naomi will be in action next week, against her.
Deville has not wrestled since SummerSlam 2020 in a match against Mandy Rose prior to taking some time off. She returned on the January 1 episode of SmackDown and has been in an authoritative role ever since.
Naomi has not wrestled on TV since Money in the Bank in July.
Zelina Vega will be taking on Carmella in the semi-finals of the Queen’s Crown Tournament.
