Tamina becomes the eighth and final woman added to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match which will take place this Sunday on July 18.
A spot that many speculated was going to be a “surprise entrant” was just officially announced by WWE as one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions. She joins her tag team partner Natalya to round out the eight women in the match. Zelina Vega and Liv Morgan are the other two from the blue brand, while RAW has Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, and Nikki A.S.H.
The Money in the Bank Ladder Match received a snag in the booking once Carmella was removed from the match. Carmella will now be facing Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship this Friday on SmackDown. The first show that fans will be back in full capacity. She was selected to replace Bayley in this championship match after the Role Model is now injured and will be out of action for about nine months. Bayley was originally planned to face Belair for the title at Money in the Bank in an “I Quit” Match. This will no longer be happening.
Tamina took part in the first and subsequently the second Money in the Bank match that the women took part in, in 2017.
