The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay) will be defending their Knockouts World Tag Team Championships at the upcoming IMPACT! Hard to Kill pay-per-view event. Their opponents will be The Influence (Madison Rayne & Tenille Dashwood).
The IInspiration came into the Knockouts Division with full force as they debuted at Bound for Glory in October. They won their debut match for the promotion and took the tag team titles off the waists of Decay (Rosemary & Havok) in the process. They have now held the titles for 59 days and counting.
During the time that Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay made their debut, Tenille Dashwood of The Influence had taken some time off. Once she returned to catch up with Madison Rayne and Kaleb with a K, she found out about her fellow Australian counterparts and was excited to see them. The four Knockouts at first befriended each other and even teamed up to face the four members of Decay. Once they lost that match, they were no longer on friendly terms.
Last week, Dashwood defeated McKay in a first-time ever match-up. Dashwood pulled out the victory credited much to the help of Kaleb as she delivered a Spotlight Kick to get the pin. Will this momentum help The Influence become the new tag team champions at Hard to Kill on Jan. 8? Or will The IInspiration continue their reign?
