The Rock extends a WrestleMania challenge to Becky Lynch

It’s been a Cinderella story for Becky Lynch, starting with her winning streak after Money in the Bank. Her character shift at SummerSlam paved the way for the hottest run of her career, which culminated in a Royal Rumble win last night. The Man seems destined to main event WrestleMania.

She could be setting her sights on a bigger match and opponent than we thought, though. Yesterday, a fan asked when we would see The Man in the ring with The People’s Champion, The Rock. Becky took notice, but The Great One also saw it. Never one to shy away from the spotlight, The Great One offered her a friendly wager.

“Let’s break WWE records. One night. One match. Winner takes all. (but I’ll only put you over clean via a very awkward, slightly botched sunset flip, or a regular suplex pronounced ‘vertical soo-flay’.

Kick ass tonight and as always, have fun.”

The Rock hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania 32, in a short throwaway match against Eric Rowan. He’s currently enjoying success as a television and movie star, but it’s only a matter of time before he makes his way back to a WWE ring.

Becky went on to win the second Women’s Royal Rumble, putting her in line for a match for the women’s title of her choosing at WrestleMania 35. Lynch will more than likely challenge Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship. On the other hand, after standing toe-to-toe with John Cena earlier this year, The Man versus the Great One would make waves throughout the wrestling industry and garner mainstream interest.

Albeit, less likely that would be a WrestleMania moment. Nonetheless, Becky Lynch is set to make history this April. Not bad for someone who wrestled on the pre-show last year.

Check back with Diva Dirt for further updates on Becky’s potential opponent.
