Today in History: Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James at Armageddon 2007

On this day in history:

December 16th, 2007 | Following an impromptu Christmas concert from Jillian, Beth Phoenix defended her Women’s Title against Mickie James at Armageddon 2007. The combination of Beth’s strength and Mickie’s flashy move set made for some memorable moments, such as when Beth held Mickie on her lap in a submission that looked painful for the both of them. Beth was able to get the win and retain her title after hitting Mickie with a fisherman’s suplex. It wasn’t the Glam Slam, but it got the job done that night.
