Today in History: Christy Hemme vs. Victoria at Vengeance 2005

On this day in history:

June 26th, 2005 | The feud between Christy Hemme and Victoria could have been seen as the standard “veteran Superstar is jealous of perky newcomer” schtick, given that it all started when Victoria attacked a slew of women during a bikini contest. What made it different, though, was the attitude Christy took: she wasn’t afraid of Victoria. In fact, she seemed to be more fired up than Victoria was. Even so, when they met in the ring at Vengeance 2005, Victoria won the match, using the ropes as leverage when she pinned Christy in the corner.
