On this day in history:
April 1st, 2001 | Playboy covergirl Chyna challenged Women’s Champion Ivory, of the self-righteous Right to Censor faction, to her title at WrestleMania 17. In more ways than one, this was a clash of opposites–a decidedly one-sided clash, as Chyna easily defeated Ivory and won the Women’s Title.
That same night, Lita didn’t hesitate to interfere in the big three-team TLC match, doing her part to help the Hardy Boyz with a hurricanrana to Rhyno and a chair shot to Spike Dudley.
Trish Stratus also got in on the action, coming to ringside with Linda McMahon during Vince McMahon‘s match against his son Shane McMahon. Trish would turn on Vince, slapping him and getting into fight with Stephanie McMahon that was broken up by Mick Foley.
